Yes, I would definitely love to see more of your videos on simple, healthy meal ideas! With teaching, being a mom/wife, and pet owner of an energetic golden retriever, I often put myself (and my health) last. I am working on this and really appreciate your easy meal ideas...especially dinners!
Thank you so much for watching Debra! 🥰 I completely understand... it's easy to put your health on the backburner when you're so busy but if you feel your best, you can show up for the others in your life as your best self! It's never selfish to prioritize your health! 🖤 I'm so happy this helped give you some ideas!
I've been following your great ideas in the classroom but this was so fantastic to see how you take care of yourself and your husband. These high protein food ideas are a real wake up call and I'm so glad that you did it. You look terrific and so happy. Would you please continue the wonderful food ideas in your videos? You're helping all of us! Have a great weekend:)
Aww, thank you so much Sharon! 🥰 I appreciate you watching and commenting with your feedback and I appreciate all your kind words! I hope you have a great weekend as well!
I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing (and evolving)😉. I started following you during the Pandemic, when my daughter began her very first teaching job (2nd) through distance learning. You continue to inspire me to work on becoming the best version of myself (a work in progress 🤷♀️🤣🙈). I specifically had to comment today because you used a KITCHEN TOOL that I have never seen and I am obsessed♥️. The gadget you used to break up the ground beef …genius! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I too loved the video. I have been looking for a healthy version of Buffalo Chicken Dip. I would like to hear you overnight oats idea. I prep on Sunday for the week. Please do not stop the teaching videos!
Love this for showing that no food is off limits but that balance is key! Also showing how much fuel your body needs in a day to build strength and muscles like you have--such a good message for younger viewers especially
Great video and I'm here for whatever content you wish to share! Love the fitness and food content as well as the technology and teaching content. Thanks for all you do! Those pumpkin spice protein drinks sound so good!
Thank you so much Betsy! 🥰 We also love egg roll in a bowl... basically just a cole slaw mix, ground beef, soy sauce, and a little hoisin sauce! We will also do a lot of variations using rice, some sort of protein, and veggies such as sweet and sour chicken with an asian medley of veggies or a chicken tikka masala with cauliflower!
Love this! I also am watching carbs and overall health at 62years. Frequently I’ve added 10 lbs after loosing 35 and this video inspired me to measure and do what works for me. Starting with getting back on my jog walks! I’d love to see more on your workout routine, you did post that you work with a trainer, virtual? I love seeing your progression! Keep motivating the tired teacher in all of us❤
Thank you so much Heather! 🥰 I appreciate you watching and commenting! I work with a coach for powerlifting... slightly different than a trainer but similar concept. Yes, we work together virtually! Thanks again!
This was terrific, Michelle! I am on a health and fitness journey, and I am always looking for easy, healthy recipes or suggestions. I don’t like cooking, but your recipes from this video seem super easy and not time-consuming. I definitely would love to see more videos like this one. Thanks!
Thank you so much and I'm so happy you found it helpful! I'm not a great cook, so I'm all for EASY meals! Thank you for watching and for your feedback! 🥰 I appreciate you!
This was awesome Michelle! These are so simple and delicious. The Strawberries and whipped cream dessert is one of my go tos (I've even thought about using the premier protein creamer instead of whipped cream to give it a more English delight)!
I loved this video! I am watching it right after dismissal at school. Such a nice treat (get it?!) after a long week. Michelle, this video was the perfect blend of aesthetic, informational, and fun! I hope you and your family have an amazing weekend! 😁
Aww, thank you so much for watching Mandy and I really appreciate all your kind feedback! 🥰 I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well and get lots of rest after a long week!
I have a full week of workouts video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oECCDWFRbOM.html It's nearly a year old but not much has changed. My powerlifting coach creates my program for me.
Happy to know that my husband and I aren’t the only ones who just drink our water from our big old water bottles at meals! Our parents have made fun of us for it on occasion. Lol. Thanks for the great video! Currently beginning my fitness journey and I love the inspiration of food ideas in this video! I would eat everything in this video! 😁😁😁😁
Hahaha, you're definitely not alone! When you drink a gallon of water a day, it's hard NOT to drink from a huge bottle! Thanks for watching and commenting Dani! 🥰
i do the same thing with the premier protein in my coffee. Except it’s several cups of coffee with the bottle of premier. Chocolate peanut butter is my current fav.
Yesss! Isn't it so good?! I only have one cup but my mug is actually equivalent to 2 of most regular size mugs, ha. I also LOVE the chocolate peanut butter flavor... it's so tasty! 🥰
I love the idea of putting the premiere pro Tien in coffee! I also start my day with coffee for the benefit of others😂 and definitely going to try the premier protein in my coffee , it’s a great way to cut out excess sugar and start the morning. Thanks again Michelle great content!❤🫶
Yesss! It's a great way to get in some protein early in the day (because trying to cram it in in the evening is never fun, LOL) and it cuts out excess sugar like you mentioned (which sugar isn't bad but I'd personally rather have my sugar with some dessert at night). Thank you so much for watching and commenting Sue! 🥰
@@PocketfulofPrimary As a teacher, I struggle with meal prep! I am now doing like a meal prep cheat sheet so I can mix and match ingredients. Any other meal prep ideas would be awesome!
Me with my limited edition pumpkin spice cocoa watching the Hocus Pocus movies last night haha. I use to really like premium's protein bars. That buffalo dip sounded so good, I wonder if there is a way to make it vegan maybe do vegan yogurt, not sure about cottage cheese. love me some good dips.
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! Yes... I track my macros 6 days a week and eat intuitively 1 day a week. I aim for a minimum of 130 grams of protein daily 🥰
More of these types of videos please! All of the food you made looked delicious! I do have one question though. How come the only thing you put on the scale were the strawberries? Is it because of the sugar content? Just curious. Thanks for another amazing video!
Aww, thank you so much! Nope... I don't track my sugar intake or limit it in any way. But, I do track macros (protein, carbs, and fat) so I measure my food in grams and track it in an app so I can make sure I'm hitting my numbers.
Question: Do you feel you have been able to better prioritize health and fitness now that you are not teaching? I seem to get a good start during the summer but am completely derailed when the school year starts.
That's a great question! Health and fitness have been a part of my life for so long that I've always made it work with teaching (I was marathon training when I first started teaching). Honestly, the hardest time balancing it was when I was in grad school... I was still going to the gym but chose not to focus on nutrition and gained a fair amount of weight during that time as a result. But, it's definitely easier now that I'm not in the classroom (although it was still possible while teaching... just harder). Hopefully that makes sense!
All of this looked yummy 😋 if I did a what I eat in a day every other RU-vidr would freak out (I eat a lot of not healthy food ) Maybe I should change that 🫣
Thank you so much for watching Anna! 🥰 There's nothing wrong with eating less nutrient dense foods... it's all about having balance. I will admit that my balance was off for a while and I was eating mostly less nutrient dense foods, but following the 80/20 rule (80% of my foods are nutrient dense and 20% are less nutrient dense) has made me feel so much better!
Loved the "What I Eat In a Day" video! It helped me to see that cutting back on carbs isn't all that bad. The Cheeseburger in a bowl idea is wonderful! Thanks for inspiring me! 5th Grade Instructor
Thank you so much! I personally don't eat low carb... I eat nearly 300 grams of carbs a day. Carbs are your body's preferred fuel source and don't need to be cut back unless there is a specific dietary restriction in place by a doctor (but I would consult a dietician instead of a typical doctor because doctors only go through 1 nutrition course). Fat loss comes from an overall calorie deficit (taking in less calories than what your body is burning) and no single macro (protein, carbs, fat) needs to be restricted to make that happen 🥰 Even though I didn't have a bun with my "cheeseburger" in a bowl, I had carbs for dessert instead with my fruit and whipped cream!
It's funny because I just Googled the American pronunciation and that's not what it says AT ALL! It says "wu-str" (basically drop the "shire" from the end).
I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing (and evolving)😉. I started following you during the Pandemic, when my daughter began her very first teaching job (2nd) through distance learning.
