Due to illness I will be not watching or commenting for a season or longer. I have been grateful for Chelsea Mae and her honesty and openness and her teaching. Keep up with your great work Chelsea. You make us feel like we are a part of your family. You are amazing and a breath of fresh air in our lives.
I learned how to cook my Japanese sweet potatoes from you and can’t understand why anyone would cook them any other way! They’re so yummy! I like to cut them into smaller pieces after and eat them in a lettuce cup with nothing else.
I’m trying to up my protein and looking for ideas so this meal plan is great ❤I’ve been complicating things. I’ve been following you for years and you have helped me lose 70 pounds so thank you 🙏
Not that this is my final takeaway from all the excellent material in this video, but can I just say that your post-workout hair, just getting out of the car, is SO freaking adorable?
Oats spike my sugar. Yes it fills me up for a few hours. Then after a few hours I’m famished. Like I want to eat a half of a cow hungry. I’m less hungry not eating anything than eating oats.
That's really odd, we have Peanut Butter Oats with berries nearly every morning and I'm satisfied til 3pm. Maybe you're not eating enough? We would have 2/3cup of quick oats soaked in hot water, with a scoop of protein powder or peanut butter, berries on top
Omg I remember my fitness era when I was 17-19 years old. I did everything right like you do, 5-6 times/ week in the gym, perfectly studied planed workouts 1-1.5h, plus bicycle to go around, and a vegetarian diet with 100-125g proteins/day. It didn’t work. I never got visible abs and could never lower my % fat. I worked so so hard. I was just tired and inflamed. Then I gave up the weights and became high carb low fat vegan and magically lost 10-15lbs, got my dream weight, even got abs sometimes but no muscle :( . So much disappointment. But you go girl!
Yes!!! I am a die-hard cold brew fan. And I chuckled when I heard you talk about how excited you get at night for your coffee in the morning. I get the same way! There are times in the afternoon when I get excited for the next morning's coffee. 😂
I agree there is something about those sweet potatoes that are so much more satiating than orange sweet potatoes and white potatoes. Simple and delicious! 😊
I am a coffee person, and yes I do get excited for my morning coffee. I keep it simple. I brew, add some lowfat, unsweetened, dairy free creamer and sweetener, usually maple sugar.😅
Your food looks awesome - as usual! I wish I could lose weight on more than 1200 calories a day, but at my age (67) my metabolism has slowed to the point that I just cannot. I would try what you're eating - just smaller portions!
Im the same way about coffee. I make a protein coffee every morning within 30 min of waking before I head to the gym. I am also a bigger breakfast gal.
Thanks for another great video!Coffee is a must for me, its like a hug in the morning! I use instant coffee because its easiest, not the tastiest but it gets the job done. My regular coffee is 1 tbsp instant coffee, a splash of sugar free Torani syrup, water, and oat milk. If I need extra protein, I make my coffee iced and throw a serving of vanilla protein powder in it.
Breakfast Coffee- made in the keurig, generous splash of unsweetened soy. Good music helps me get through tough stretches in the workout. Mantras like “I’m so strong. I can do this. I’m gonna get through this. Almost done.” Focusing on breath. Focusing on a spot. Checking form really meticulously. All that helps me cope with the temporary anguish. Lol
I love thinking about my morning coffee and breakfast as I like in bed at night. I struggle with hypertension so it's two parts decaf with 1 part regular coffee. Just a splash of unsweetened soy milk. Or black.
I don’t lose weight if I eat above 1700 cals. If I eat 1800, I will maintain. I am 5’9 and I weigh 70kg, and I can’t lose weight without eating around 1500-1600cals. That’s tracking to a tee. I also seem to be one of those people (and this is with years of experience) where I can’t eat crap food, stick to deficit and still lose weight. I need to eat whole foods and stick to deficit. I see people lose weight eating highly processed foods, so long as they stick to deficit, but, sadly (at times, when I just want eat crap) my body goes “nope.” and gains, and then it takes me a week or 2, to stabilise again.
If I eat breakfast in the morning, I'm hungry all day. Yet if I skip breakfast, I don't get hungry till around 14:00/15:00 usually 😅 I guess everyone is different.
Chelsea another awesome what beautiful Chelsea are in a day. Good to know I am not the only one who cooks their oats in the microwave. I love 😍 coffee first thing in the morning too. Yummy 😋 food and thanks for the inspiration. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Chelsea & family.
Always look forward to your vids, I love coffee, but then it makes me hungry! so need to try to swap up brekky, then coffee, but mornings are too crazy.
Im dying to get a ninya creamy, but building a house so will have to be patient, our family eats so much icecream, even in Melbournes winters, but hopefully making homemade will at least get my kiddos and hubby to eat more wholesome without the chemical, ie fruit based icecreams - i saw a vid for purple sweet potate icecream in the ninya, looks interestinig.
Freeze fruit to have all of the time. I have a Yonana but you could also use a food processor. Yum! I also did peanut powder and or cocoa powder and mix it in at the end.
I haven’t seen your videos in several years. Dang, girl, your workouts are getting you very fit. Congrats. Just be careful of all the protein because it can stress your kidneys and lead to problems.
@Chelsea Mae nice video. But did you know that eating in the morning (breakfast ) isn’t actually necessary? In fact, Harvard Dietitian studies disproves the theory that breakfast is the most important of meal the day. In fact the word breakfast is a compound word meaning to break your fast after a long period of not eating. Harvard studies also confirms it’s not necessarily when you eat, but what you eat when you break your fast that’s important. As this will determine whether or not you experience unhealthy cravings. You should always break your fast with protein. And never with donuts , danishes or other unhealthy refined sugar snacks. I personally have never been a person who eats in the morning (breakfast) and has practiced intermittent fasting more than half of my life. And I’m In great health and no problems with losing body fat and no problems with unhealthy late night cravings. Nevertheless, everyone should do what works for them. Blessings! 🙂
I wouldn't go lower than 16-18 % bodyfat as a woman, because female hormones are getting too low, which influence mood, sleep, energy levels, thyroid, sex drive etc.. Feminine curves are lost when bodyfat gets so low.
Biggest thing is absolute amount of fat. So not going under a certain amount of fat. In terms of percentages, the more muscle you gain, the lower the fat percentage, even if the absolutely amount stays the same. It’s not as simple as just looking at a percentage and saying it’s too low. It depends on a lot of other factors. 4 years ago my body fat was 19% and I was way skinner. I actually have MORE fat now, but also more muscle… which is why yearly my body fat % is going down. It’s wild to me to be at these numbers because if I’d achieved this years ago, I would have HAD to lose an unhealthy amount of fat… but now I just build more muscle.
You mentioned a retreat in September.. Is attendance restricted to members of your coaching group or everyone? I didn't know you ran them but am interested. Is it in NZ? Where can you get info? Thanks in advance PS: Love your work
❤hi chels.. I really enjoyed this video. I lost 50lbs eating 5050 and have gained 20+lbs back.. I'm trying to lose weight again.. I haven't been weighing myself because I just feel depressed by the number.. but should i be weighing and how often? Because I'm not sure how else to know if what I'm doing is working.
With all the tofu you eat in a day how do you keep your fat content low? What ratios of your daily meal plan consist of fat/ carb/ protein? I LOVE tofu, but it really bumps up the fat ratio in my day. I try to keep things in the 80/10/10 range.
There's a great fava bean tofu in the states that's 30g protein and 0g of fat in 1 cup... I swapped to keep my saturated fat low and now I won't ever go back! Still love my unsweetened organic soy milk though ♡
Pig food! Greger's Okinawa longevity diet is a sad (1949) joke. Didn't take much figuring out.. but then I'm not a member of the V culled.. almost fell for it but quickly noticed something was.. off.
@@Unmasking_Viandalisme I've been whole foods plant-based for 22 years and feel fabulous, plus have perfect blood work. I'm 48 and feel as good as when I was in my 20s.
