catherine2441 so far I’m doing good I start my purée stage tomorrow. Gas pain is almost gone. Stitches removed and healed up. I’m having trouble getting all my protein and liquids in but I’m almost there. I’ve lost a total of 29lbs since preop as of today but I’ve lost 19lbs of that since surgery tomorrow would be 2 weeks.
This was such an awesome video!! I'm 12days post-op and looking for ideas on what to pack for lunch once I go back to work. Your food looks so yummy and I love that you put up your daily intake of protein and nutritional facts. Do you keep a food journal? Thank you for posting these videos made me feel a little better about the food i can have🤗
Oh, you'll absolutely be able to have lots of things down the road, don't worry! I keep a food diary in My Fitness Pal. In fact, my food diary is public so add me on there if you want and you can see what I eat every day :)
Your food in both days looked delicious! I wanna try and film a "what I eat in a day" video as well. I really enjoyed watching this. Your pjs are so cute by the way! I'm in my pjs all day long on Sundays😂😂
Lateedah_VSG Tiffany Haha yeah you should! It was a lot of fun to film! My weekdays are pretty regular but I have NO routine on weekends haha. That's just the way of it.
This was so helpful. Glad that I finally got to see how you make your morning coffee. The sausage dish look sooooo yummy. Were you able to eat the entire dish? I will definitely have that coffee in the morning.
Hi we had surgery on the same day 10/20/16 the lost is the same crazy...you do great with your water intake then I some days are better then others the struggle!!!
Hello I will have my VSG on January 27 or 29 and I’m so excited to have the surgery to live a better life and longer live and be a new me that I never have before and I never been under 200
Wow you are on your game I’m 4 month post sleeve I’ve lost 5 stone but I can’t drink water I do juice and I’ve not been taking vit or protein so wat hing this has just give me a push I need to look after myself . Thank you for this vid xx
beta98beta Oh gosh yes! I think nuts and cheese are a staple for most postop bariatric patients! Low carb, good protein, good fat. They're basically perfect (in moderation lol)
I'm a week behind you ☺ I love cashews too...there my go to snack. I'm in England and you have such a wide variety of products. chicken sausage I don't think we have here....I make my own breakfast sausage and have it with salsa...it's delicious 😆😆 great to see your journey so far ☺☺☺
I know this is at an earlier stage, but do you finish off everything you take? I just got vsg on Tuesday and going through liquid phase but as of now I can’t hardly take down anything without feeling done. Your lunch in this looked good.
Yes, I ate everything I showed in the video. But one week post op is very different from 3 months post op! I did clear liquids for the first week, then full liquids for 3 weeks after that. No real food until week 4 or 5 (can't remember, but my videos from then probably say it). Hang in there!
I love cashews way too much so I need to not buy them!! Lol. I try to do macadamia nuts and almonds since they are a bit lower carb. Looks good girl! Good job getting your water!! I love premier with coffee!! Mmmmm. I wish I liked sausage but I could do that with chicken. You're brave filming at work. Lol!!! Your peppers looked great!!! I used to make those smoothies all the time!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
VSG Jodi Yeah I know I should be doing almonds but I just loooove cashews hehe. And yeah I do the same kind of little mix with turkey burgers or chicken burgers, too. I definitely had to be a little discreet at work! Lol! Thanks for watching 😊
@@kelcwalker5105 I'm not vegan either but there's literally videos of them purposely torturing cows. Also, you're ok with animal torture just because you're not vegan? Um...ok.
I found this really helpful and informative :) Thank you for putting your videos out there for others to see - it's really helpful to see how others live :) I'm looking for some smaller RU-vid friends so do collabs with and swap boxes etc... Would you be interested? :) I am a vegan vlogger and I've just quit my job to work as a digital nomad - so I'm really trying to make a go of RU-vid to share my story with others and prove that anyone can live a life they love! I'd love yo connect with you and collab for videos etc :) Best wishes for your journey, I just subbed and am looking forward to your future videos xxx
Losing_it_for_me_42 Thanks! I'm honestly not opposed to more snacking, I just wouldn't know how to fit it! I feel like the 30 minutes before and after water, and the time it takes to drink water--that takes up all my time! Lol
Foodie Turned Sleevie oh you do 30mins before. my surgeon doesn't do that I can drink right up to eating. yeah an hour around everytime I eat plus the time to eat I'd never get enough water in. I wonder why the difference in this one from surgeon to surgeon. I know most of the reasoning behind differences just not this one
Losing_it_for_me_42 Huh. Interesting. Don't know exactly. I know they said not to drink before or after eating because it could make the food slide through the pouch more easily. Don't know the science of how that works exactly, though.
I'm about to get this procedure (in Northern Cal) and was told the same as you on the water issue. (I'm also confused about why there'd be a difference on some of these recommendations and instructions. So weird!) But I was told that after surgery I wouldn't be able to handle more than 1/4 c portions at a time. Did you eat that entire lunch in one sitting? It didn't feel like too much??? Did you start off with tiny portions and slowly work up? (BTW, my doc is making me quit coffee ahead of time! He said no more caffeine- ever again! So bummed.)
Hello I am Happy you are doing well ... You went to Moorestown .. When you had see your Doctors for this surgery .. They normally don't ask there patients to do Sleep study ? .. That's not part of the procedure to get this surgery ?
Niecy D-Nel Good question. I drink it lukewarm. I've never tried to warm it more, but that's good enough for me. I've heard it's good iced, too, but very cold doesn't sit well with my sleeve.
I am at the 5th week I cant any thing without soup and liquids, even I cant eat chicken and fish, when I eat them it just stack and I start vomiting.... What is your experience of your 5th week or 2nd month plz share???? and what is your advice for me
I would recommend going back and watching my weeks 1-8 videos to see what I was eating and how I was feeling. That's why I documented every single week.
I think back then I was taking Celebrate: celebratevitamins.com/products/calcium-citrate-chewable?variant=7642366738479 Now I take Citracal Calcium Petites.
