Just found you & I’ve been riding more lately and it was nice to see what you ate ☺️ Definitely can’t wait to go for longer rides like yours today. Excited to see more cycling content!
Totally agree, oatmeal (porridge for UK riders) for the win, also take with me on the day some fresh (not dried) dates, water and the odd banana. On some of the organised centuries I participate in, there is usually some rest stops and food to be had, usually pasta and fresh cooked vegetables, starch and fruit every time. 🚴💨
I recently did a 'walking' marathon of 26.2 miles and I took one banana, two apples, and three little sourdough whole wheat flatbreads. Each one was about 320 calories and I ate half at a time.
That post ride meal doe...👌😍 I'm not a cyclist but starting the morning with slow digesting carbs from oatmeal makes my mood and overall energy levels stable until lunch:)
