Reality is that 100% og people need to eat more clean natural « not hyperprocessed» food/drink. Cut down or cut out alcohol. Cut out rafined sugars. And also controll calories strictly. The rest is individual. If you are not in a caloric deficit or eat the same you are going to be or are fat.
@Resistculturaldecline
@Resistculturaldecline 3 года назад
@@Ikaros23 All true, but I'll add a caloric deficit or surplus is a steady change. Our metabolisms are highly adaptive based on the food it's receiving, to a point of course. 2000 cal is a caloric deficit for most men, but it won't be a deficit forever. The metabolism will learn to live on a caloric budget.

At 62, my workouts and diet are similar and it has served me well. At 5'10" and 165 my weight has not fluctuated more that 5 lbs. since I was in college. Transitioned to all bodyweight a few years ago.

@@david-pb4bi Not necessarily! Recomposition is possible at every age and stage. I’m 6’1 former model and sprinter. I don’t allow my weight to fluctuate either. @@david-pb4bi At 59 I'm almost Joe's age, and my weight hasn't fluctuated too much from my mid 20's. My body looks about the same size, although my skin doesn't hang like it used to. What has changed is strength levels!! Especially pushing exercises like bench presses and squats. I used to bench 100kg for 12 reps, but that weight would bury me now!! Now it's about 60kgs for 12 reps. Squats? Forget it. I'm having my left knee replaced in 2 weeks!! Funnily enough I still feel almost as strong on pulling exercises like chins, rows, and stiff legged deadlifts as at my peak. I'll always train, but you do have to train less as you age, and adjust your goals accordingly.

Great info. I'm still in my 20s but I want to stay fit forever and to do so I will have to make adjustments in my 50s. One tip I would give Joe is to slice up raw uncooked garlic just 1 or 2 and swallow them raw after each meal that may irritate his stomach. The story of color in foods is not reliable and color has nothing to do with the quality of the food. Food can be yellow and healthier than green foods. The color theory will go away in the next one or two decades. It is around only as a language to encourage people to eat healthy. Better to say green foods are not harmful but they do not serve your body for the best.
