Recipe & Thoughts: This isn’t going to be the most amazing Mac ever but it’s for those days when you can’t be bothered to go to the grocery store. The texture is nice and it does get a little gloopy when it cools down so just eat it while it’s hot. - 1.5 cups pasta - 1.5 cups shredded cheese
@@Chaos_SenpaiIt melts well and give the mac and cheese a better consistency. It's still cheese and I don't even think he added American. It wasn't yellow.
@@whimmyqyeah that’s correct. It’s similar to plastic cheese but tastes like mozzarella and melts sooooo much better. I buy it often over American cheese. The consistency is also softer and less plasticy
Man i just wanted to say, thank you for being a RU-vidr. I remember when you only had a few thousand subs and would rate foods in the shower. It’s amazing how much you’ve grown. You’re channel is always so funny and really puts a smile on everyone face. Thank you.
@@faitharoone9188 In all vidios i say ALL is this one annoying comment bro its not funny anymore its super annoying ! Look in the comments from other vidios and btw i say this because yeah how i say its not funny anymore
Extra stuff you can add: Worcestershire sauce, about 2 drips per serving, mix well (drip is more than a drop, gently smack the back of the bottle). Cayenne powder/red pepper/crushed red pepper if you like spice. Parsley is great fresh or dried but I usually use dry.
@@I_am_here_to_eat_your_toes I don't think people usually consider the water in the pasta as an "ingredient"... but it was still pretty shameless to literally be showing noodles, cheese, and herbs on screen while claiming to only use "two ingredients"
I know you probably don't care about this but you really helped me with my eating disorder. I've been struggling for years with eating food that other people have made, worrying if it's sanitary, or eating in general. Watching your videos helped me relax and get used to food again, and if i just need a break from the world I know you'll be here. Thank you.
yeah this is still definitely too much for me when i'm in "can't bring myself to cook" mode usually i just end up making a peanut butter sandwich or eating fruit (if i haven't once again accidentally let the fruit go bad because i got tired of fruit again)
whenever i’m tired to make a meal, here’s what i make. macaroni n cheese in a mug! add 1/2 cup of elbow macaroni and water with a pinch of salt. microwave until your noodles are soft, add more water if needed. after, strain the pasta. mix it incase some pasta wasn’t separated, then pour it back in the mug. add 1/2 cup of milk, cheese (add to your liking), and some pepper (optional) microwave it for 30 seconds but if the cheese isn’t melted then microwave more edit: if milk is still left (happens sometimes) js strain it again and add a bit more salt + pepper
It doesn't. Can't believe the world is giving this idiot views on making the simplest Mac and cheese. Like WHAT? But again, people like him are the ones gaining millions and millions of views on dumb recipes like these while many are struggling.
@@ikwenmusic Actually, depending on where you live, its in the books that it is illegal. Nobody’s ever prosecuted, that I know of, but technically. There’s actually a lot of laws like that.
@@bonobodave9691we export so much of our dairy to Asia. I used to stack shipping containers with butter, up to 5 a day (not alone, of course). The video creator lives in Thailand.
I've done this a few times. Ive found it's good with a few larger blocks of cheese to give some texture and, more importantly, some supper cheap mustard to make it more like mac and cheese.
my mother made something similar to this once, except it was in the form of a casserole and she added crushed-up kettle cooked chips from our local grocery store to add some extra fun. it was genuinely the best food i have ever had.
@@ghost-carnival it's pretty much the same recipe in the video, but you spread cooked mac n cheese in whatever flat oven dish you like. then you sprinkle some more cheese on top (enough to cover all of the noodles), crush some classic flavored lays (or whatever chip you prefer, it's just gotta be the original/classic flavor), and sprinkle the chip bits all over the top layer. i forget how long it needs to be in the oven or how hot it needs to be (it's been a while since we've made it) but i would estimate around 400 F-- just check on it in the oven until the top layer of cheese looks fully melted and/or a bit crispy- whichever is more to your liking. enjoy :D
I recommend grating your own cheese, the pre-grated stuff is coated in starch to prevent it from sticking together in the bag, but this also causes it to melt weird. If you use freshly grated cheese it'll have a much smoother consistency!
i recommend adding milk to the cheese instead of water if you want it to be creamier, plus i’m sure some of us know what it’s like to have that nasty tap water taste that transfers into whatever you add it to💀 looks really good though, easy meals are always nice👍
Genuinely love this guy. His recipes are amazing, low effort, simple and delicious. I also love his humour. I do truly believe that he is the reason I overcame my anorexia. Thank you.
Wow. Amazing. You should also check out Lynja. She is the cook who made me better my relationship with food to the point of no trauma/ and we are called the Lynja Turtles! Her fans 🥳 Food anxiety overcoming is really sooo so moving. Im there and hear you. These youtube alternative cooking style cookers do not really know what they are doing and how much they can help
Second video I saw of yours (the other one was "1-ingredient rice puffs (or something)") In both videos, your ingredient count is undershot. 1. Pasta 2. Cheese 3. Pasta Water (arguable) 4. Dill You claimed 2, I count 4, but you could pull 3 if you wanted.
He didn't mention it here, but that kraft single (American cheese) contains sodium citrate, which is an emulsifier that makes the cheese into a sauce. If you don't put it in, the cheese will still melt, but it'll be stringy, grainy, or clump together. That's totally up to you, some people don't care about texture or consistency, but the cheese slice actually has something that makes it better.
@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN I condone one slice on a burger, one or two slices for grilled cheese, a slice for certain breakfast sandwiches, and this. Nothing else.
I eat mac & cheese on plates Because when you eat it in a bowl once we get to see under layers of the cheese and Mac it is burned your mouth and you have to wait till it cools down a bit But on a plate you don’t have to wait -wise words
I like to put a bit of hot sauce in mine and smoked paprika, Chili powder, garlic and herbs ( basil, oregano). Maybe Cajun seasoning who knows. It’s delicious.
I am very similar to you. I love to add Frank's buffalo wing sauce, a ton of black pepper, sometimes some garlic and onion powder (also fabulous to add to frozen fench fries before cooking. A little oil, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder). I'm gonna try adding some red pepper flakes and smoked paprika to mine now. Maybe some chili powder. I really like it spicy.
Sir. Thank you. When I get into college, I’m gonna watch these and realize that my dumbass will never be able to cook like this because I lit a burner that hasn’t worked for five years on fire while trying to cook eggs.
Top tip: When cleaning the cheese off, DON'T use super hot water. Scraping currently melted cheese off a pot is a bit more difficult than Scraping off cold cheese!
