I grew up extremely poor, and when we were in middle school at our lowest point, the counselor told us (my sisters and I) to write a list of stuff we want for Christmas, we made a huge list because in my family we made lists and my mom would only pick 1-2 things from the list to gift us, so, that’s what we were expecting, but when we got the presents, the family who sponsored us gave us everything we asked for and I remember feeling sooooo happy! I was 12 or 13 and never had a Christmas more magical than that one. It really made a huge impact and I’m so grateful for that! Thank you for doing this and making lots of kids happy!

I’ve never heard of sponsoring a family. As far as I’m aware it’s not something that happens in England. I’d love to do this. Thank you for sharing, it’s hard to believe sometimes but I like to think world is full of kind people, xx

Selina Hughes check with churches and homeless shelters. They will usually have information about families who could use a sponsor for Christmas.

I grew up really poor too. My lowest but also most fun Christmas is when our electricity got shut off and my parents set up a whole camp sit in the living room for my brother and I and when we woke up there was presents under the tree. In high school I lived in a hotel with my family and my counselor wanted me to write down my list and put it on the tree but that was embarrassing to me and refused to do it. Flash forward though.. I’m a first gen. High school graduate and about to graduate college.. I have my own place and just spoiled the hell out of my family for Christmas and bought myself, my mom, and my brother our own iPads 😊

i just wanted to say thank you.. we are a veteran family.. my husband is a combat vet and we go through many struggles with 5 children and to see what you have done for families makes me smile.. we have been adopted and know the value of this kinda love.. your video has been one the best and kindest i have ever watched.. thank you.. so much .. because i know what its like to feel loved and valued and able to give children a special moment because someone like you is being so selfless.. thank you from the bottom of my heart.. from a coww caregiver of a wounded warrior

We call those like you Christmas Angels. All the feels of working at our local women's shelter just flooded back. Love this time of year and all the joy and peace all those who donate bring to these families. Thank you for you and your family for being amazing. So excited to start this season of giving.

I too am extremely thankful for what you are doing. My husband is a disabled veteran and our family has been adopted as well. My kids are 11 and under. I've noticed most sponsorships focus on younger children, as though once a kid turns 12 they no longer need a nice Christmas. I am so thrilled to see that you are supporting teenagers. What an amazing blessing! It warms my heart and I am so so so thankful that you posted this video!

I was going to say the same thing... in our area they only do up to 13 yr olds. Years ago when my parents needed help for holidays they wouldn't help with any gifts for my brother bc he was 13 or over 😔 13 was the cut off age, and honestly I think every kid should get a gift on Christmas regardless of age...

Hi. I’m asking help for Christmas for my babies. Boy is 20 months girls is 33 months both are special needs. Girl is autistic, developmentally behind,has PVL (brain damage)-born with it and cerebral palsy. Boy has an unknown genetic disease/disorder that causes him lots of issues: failure to thrive, head/brain haven’t grown since April, severe stomach issues, developmentally behind:example his cognitive is 10-11 months. ): I am willing to accept anything that’s not on one of these lists if you think it would help with Autism- awesome. They both can use stocking stuffers. Clothes and whatever else. Here’s link to to wish lists if you’d prefer that but that is not the only way I’d except for my kids. Me too! I've been watching "what I got my kids for Christmas" videos and this popped up... im so glad, this is by far the best video of all! I subscribed right away after hearing what was going on.. I originally thought she had 11 kids and then found out she only has 1 small child and she is blessing 10 different kids from multiple families..and not only spent alot of money but tons of thoughts went into thinking of super nice gifts that they are interested in..also I truly love that she dud things fair even for the oldest kids,, such a beautiful heart ❤

What fabulous gifts. What a blessing you and yours are going to be to these families this year. ❤️🎁🎄 Several years ago my family and I ‘adopted’ about a dozen seniors at a retirement facility. So rewarding to give them basic things they were asking for (good lotion, crossword puzzles, etc.) Still one of my favorite holiday memories.

You have to be careful, I don’t know this family personally so I’m sure they wouldn’t do this but when our school would purchase gifts for the families in need we had to take price tags off and draw through the bar codes because their parents would send it back to the store to get money for them instead of letting the kids have it

I was actually going to say the same thing (we are always told to drawl a "X" with pen or marker through the barcode when gifting presents bc some parents take the gifts back to the stores and get money(years ago they could) or now a days store gift card and could purchase other items or purchase other items and then return for cash etc... But I didn't want to be a Debbie downer putting this comment out there.. I wouldn't put a "X"through the barcode of the clothing though bc they may need to exchange for different sizes but the other gifts I would only bc now a days there are so many scams..

My mom has 5 kids, and for as long as I can remember she’s been a single mother. One year we were sponsored and I will never forget that Christmas. Our tree was filled with soooooo many toys. Our sponsor even went as far as to get all of us a doll house.... THEY REALLY BOUGHT 4 DOLL HOUSES! I wish I could’ve met whoever did this act of kindness for my family and I. It meant the world to us. I can’t wait for the day I get to do the same for a family in need...

Kala Rai the big tree that they have in front of Walmart have them hung on them with the things the child needs/wants. You get the stuff then take the note along with the stuff to customer service

Looking for gift recommendations? try out *personalised childrens books* - a take on educational books but you're able to custom make it to theme it right. It makes for nice gifts to promote healthy hobbies and interests while at a young/developing age w/out dropping the fun factor too much

Hello... I just wanted to say my 12 year old daughter and I watch your videos all the time, you guys are doing such a great job and your so inspiring.. I had to thank you bc it has been a rough year for my daughter and I and unfortunately I cannot provide her with a good xmas or get her what she wants bc after Bill's I dont have alot of money left... But u guys are so positive it helps.. also she went up to her room the other day and filled 2 boxes full of toys and asked me if she could donate them to someone in need... of course I said yes.. so thank you for your videos they always keep us going..
