What I hate about Nocatee is something you may want to watch before moving to Nocatee Florida.
Nocatee is one of the top master planned communities to live in the United States.
I love living here in Nocatee but there are 5 Things I hate About Nocatee.
Hate is a strong word so I would say they are pet peeves or sticking points that may affect your decision when purchasing a home in Nocatee. These are subjective and may not bother you at all but perhaps can help you make the right decision for you and your family.
1. Homes that are built too close to each other. To avoid this scenario try to reserve a larger lot or a home on a street that bends or a cul-de-sac pie shape lot. If you are fortunate enough to afford a custom build you can build on over a half- acre in River Landing Community here in Nocatee.
2. Cars parked on the street. Homes that are not part of a gated community are on city streets so HOA has no jurisdiction over parking on the side of the street. Communities that are gated do not allow parking on the side of the street overnight.
3. Smaller driveways. Builders in Nocatee standard size driveway is very narrow. If you are building a new home make sure your driveway is large enough. If you buy a re-sale or spec home you can expand your driveway with permission from HOA. Maybe if we had larger driveways less people would park on the streets.
4. No big box stores. Nocatee was designed without big box stores for a reason.
We do have Nocatee Town Center that includes Publix, GreenWise, CVS, and much more!
5. No tennis clubs. Nocatee has plenty of amenities but currently there are two tennis courts for Nocatee residents unless you live in the gated communities such as Coastal Oaks and Del Webb which have their own courts for their residents only.
