I'm going to add another little layer of interpretation to the strength card. I have a lot of plants including some cacti. I get a visceral goosebump reaction from just seeing any of the prickly-pear type cacti that grow in those "pad" formations, because they have a special kind of spines. They are called glochid spines. They are so fine and small that you can hardly see them, which makes the cactus seem safe to touch- but the spines are shaped in a way that they are near impossible to remove from your skin, and they hurt a LOT. I refuse to ever own another cactus with glochid spines. And yes I honestly get goosebumps and shivers up my spine just seeing them. These cacti look gentle but they will mess you up if you touch them. I think maybe that's why this type of cactus was chosen for the Strength card

Thanks for this! I just ordered the deck (and the expansion pack). I need to stop ordering decks 😊 but I feel like I have a nice assortment of them now. This will round them out. I love minimalism and I love the idea of this deck opening up to more interpretations and allowing for diversity. I’m newish to tarot but I feel I’m far enough along to bring into this deck what I know so far. I also can see it becoming my primary deck. As you were sharing some of the symbolism in the cards I kept thinking “oh yeah!” Brilliant.

(if you haven't already!) So much cool behind-the-scenes stuff that makes me appreciate the finished product even more and well as key insights that opened up cards I'd been lost on (e.g. the salamander courts, the World card, etc.).

I love this series you’re doing! I can find this deck hard to read mostly when I pull wands because they seem just slightly more pipish to me for some reason. For anyone wanting to connect more with this deck, Annie and Carrie have done an audio guide where they talk through their thoughts behind each card. It’s just a few dollars on the website. It was really helpful hear why Annie chose certain colors or elements for each depiction. Thanks for sharing your experience with this deck!

This is one of my favorite decks. I love it so much, and yes, it's an easy one for me to read, as well. While I was watching your cat getting all in your hair, my tuxedo cat climbed into my lap and started getting all in my hair. It was a bit surreal!

I'm so happy you did this video! I recently got this deck and LOVE it! I usually don't go for non-people decks, BUT this one spoke to me. I love how the four seasons are represented and you can see yourself in the cards. Thanks for sharing!
