I got to say that Ostscout miniature from the '80s looks really good. I have a few minutes from that time period, late '80s early '90s, some of them LED some of them pewter. and like you said, some of the casting is pretty good like on the Ostscout and some of it's only so-so. I think that was just the technology or process at the time.

7:03 where did you get yellow ocher from reaper? when I ordered yellow ocher directly from reaper, I got yellow oxide. I figured it was a name change for the same color.

Good question! The only acrylic yellow ochre I am aware of is by Golden. Most acrylic paints (including Liquitex) are yellow oxide, which uses an artificial pigment with titanium white added. I don't know if Golden has yellow ochre in their So Flat line, but I do have it in their Fluid Acrylics line. That is a gloss paint though, so you need to be aware of that. - Adam
