Find a W2 job you can tolerate and do the apps PT... Gets old driving behind these clowns all day that shouldn't have a license... If you have a W2 job you can be picky with what orders you accept
@nocturnus6
@nocturnus6 Месяц назад
That is my plan. I've been hit 3 times, one did damage to the back of my car, and the other 2 left no damage or marks luckily. I'm working toward moving to an area with more opportunity, so I can find a job I can tolerate. I like Dashing, but I don't want to do it full time anymore. Too much wear and tear on the car and upping the chances for an accident. Fewer orders these days, having to wait too long for a decent order to come in.

I enjoy chatting with other drivers. Many have different life experiences, and I find quite interesting. I get that we are all trying to make money. Giving pointers and driving tips to other drivers is not going to serve you. However, being secretive and isolated all day is not good. We have one particular driver in our town who keeps to himself. He is probably making money but looks miserable and tired. Keep a life/work balance. Interact on occasion. These are my pointers.

I would tell the new drivers nothing. There my competitors, not my friends. That's what I've learned the most these last 4 years. It's a cutthroat business. Keep shit to yourself if you want to succeed and get ahead. The less people know, the better off you are.

I really love Pedro's advice. The only thing I would add is that there are two different types of gig workers. There are the ones who maximize profits and the others who want to just make"enough" in 2017. This was approximately $100 a day. Decide which one of these people you are in your soul. If you can't figure this out, you will be tearing up your mind and emotions. If you carry both people in you DO NOT DO GIG WORK. But Pedro's tips are amazing. Four years is what it takes to understand the wear and tear on your car. Even if you have a brand new car be mindful.... you are going to be driving 20-30k miles a month now! Track your miles... Stay mindful!!
@KittyPaws2u
@KittyPaws2u Месяц назад
Good advice to follow for gig driving. What works best for me is to do this type of work as a side hustle. I look for orders with the least mileage and refuse most orders under $5. I pick orders that make the most sense for earnings. My time is valuable and don’t want to waste it with no tipping long mileage orders.

I tell people not to take orders that pay you to go home unless they are profitable because you teach the apps how to treat you. Taking "anything" just because it's paying your drive home is just telling the algorithm that you accept that garbage and it will keep on sending those kinds of offers.
@BagerGman
@BagerGman Месяц назад
I get where you are coming from, but at the same time I think it is not the case. For 4 months I have not takin anything other than 2$ a mile, with only a couple at 1.5. I get pinged out the ass for absolute shit, talking 3-5 dollars for 20-33 miles. I multi app, keeping Uber and DD open. Any algorithm nonsense is dead, I get high paying offers on both, but also get a lot of low paying. With all the shit orders you have to be in a place that has almost no fast food anywhere near. Even in a place that is not possible to get fast food, you get people ordering medium to high end restaurants from miles away with Uber and DoorDash telling you 3-5 dollars going double the miles a lot. I feel slightly bad at times. I know some of those orders I see for 13$ are 10 $ tips for 6-8 miles, customer is obviously tipping well, but doesn’t know the business. Just the apps are not routing drivers to more nearby stores, just the closest to get them done at the driver and customer expense.

There algorithm constantly flips its value from driver to driver after time. What was shown to u was 2 dollars for 3 miles, and shown to another driver for 6 dollars for 3miles of 5 miles then shown to another driver for 14 dollars for 6 miles! Its a mathematic game of profit and customer satisfaction and the drivers you and I at stake!!!

A few videos ago I mentioned that I was in the independent film business. Ive had a hand in making horror movies. When it comes to delivering food, I can really think up some weird shit for a script that I've seen doing this kind of work. I've seen a guy attack employees walking into work at a restaurant and also a guy attacking customers in a restaurant. I have personally been shot at because the delivery was a setup for a robbery. If I'm honest with myself, I've probably been set up multiple times when people use a "TEXTNOW" phone number. I've blacklisted an entire region for that reason. Back to the film making aspect. I did an order last night for an Actress whom I've worked with on a film set. I remember her house, even though it's been so many years since I've been there. I remember getting off the set and going to a bar with her, getting drunk as hell and giving her an extra long hug. This girl visited me in the hospital when I caught Legioneers Disease. This delivery really stuck out to me. The house looked abandoned. Damn are the memories of this actress coming back. I remember her getting me involved in a seance at some rich guy's high rise condo, I mean the Fucking News Was There. I remember the news reporter Danielle Serino shaking her head thinking "What The Fuck Am I Here For?" I didn't see any ghosts, but I felt like I could read the news reporters mind. The food order was for this actress's mother. I remember her name, I called multiple times, nothing. The delivery instructions were very weird, I want through my procedure and left the food there. I hope she got it. That house looked for sure abandoned. Thank You for putting that advice out. I am one of those late-night drivers. I know where to go now after doing this for years. I still do deliveries downtown, if I know the area. I don't like the alcohol deliveries all the time. If it's a hotel downtown or some trucker in Richfield, OH and it's paying a lot, I'll do it. I just cover my bases.

Love this video boss it’s so exciting what gig apps use to be . I remember being so new not knowing anything now imma expert and I rarely turn the apps on my advice is to make sure you know what good orders to accept are . Never do orders if you would spend more on gas just getting there . Make sure to put money aside from each order for your gas , car maintenance. Try to Uber in a car that’s a beater this will wear and tear your car ( can’t tell you how many nails my car has got doing this ) . Always carry water with you . Be extra careful in shady neighborhoods. NEVER EVER LEAVE YOUR CAR RUNNING UNATTENDED IT WILL GET STOLEN . Be extra friendly to customers message them “ have a great day enjoy the meal “ it will sometimes increase a tip . Don’t spill anything ( will lower tip been there done that ) . To see a lot of money you need to put in alot of hours . I put 10 hours in and made 220 in Vegas area

If you ever took a business class or economics class, you would know what overhead is (operating costs and profit margins), and this line of work keeps you below the 25% overhead. You have to make clean after gas, expenses, wear and tear, taxes, maintenance at least $1500 net a week, and the reality is nobody is making $1500 a week. You're not going to see those two companies giving each other advice. The same theory applies to drivers. They are your competitor and you shouldn't be giving your competitor advice. Unless it's bad advice that will hurt them. You want other drivers to be as dumb as a box of rocks for as long as possible. Let them learn on their own.
