He applies makeup like Wayne Goss does, he likes to make ladies look pretty and youthful. Less is definitely more, he doesn't follow the drag techniques like most instagramers do, which I believe makes them look older than they actually are, but gives his models a beautiful youthful glow. I'm hoping this kind of makeup takes off.
I feel like this makeup is such a fresh step, I don’t know why but I was so bored last months with these same makeup techniques and trends, I already knew what to expect, but then there is your video and boom, glowing skin beautiful smooth concealer with brush, no baking and your eyes look incredible, glue on brows? We gotta make it a new step 🔥 Honestly this makeup is amazing and you look stunning, love it
makeup trends these days are heavily inspired by drag so a lot of makeup techniques circulating around are very heavy & thick as theyre meant for the stage. not enough YTers do "real life" makeup anymore, mainly cos audiences dont want it. even when celebrity MUAs show realistic techniques & skills youll see a lot of comments complaining about how 'simple' the looks are. the unfortunate reality is that "real life" makeup isnt as eye catching & popular as drag/stage makeup. an extravagant cut crease with 10 different colours & glitters is much more interesting to watch than a two tone brown eye look (im not saying we shouldnt do natural skin looks, im ranting about the unfortunate state of makeup trends influenced by YT/IG)
i definitely have learned that whilst getting older!! when i started i was doing crazy full converse and bright bright eyeshadow, and it looked good!! but i just didnt need it and my makeup nowadays is so much more flattering, its not all about following trends!
Tip: if you have trouble getting liner to stay in your waterline put down a light coating of eyeshadow on the waterline, then the liner and then brush shadow over it again. I learned that from the Estée Lauder national makeup artist for the US. Luck!
Kai Vickers when I do that the eyeshadow irritates the hell outta my eyes! BUT this is a great way to keep my eyeliner from smearing and coming off on my lid I just can’t do it on my waterline
@@amber_Forever16 the only eyeshadow that doesn't make my eyes irritated (and I wear contacts) is the MAC single shadow in ebony. If you wanted to try one, I highly recommend that. I tightline and use it in my waterline
Ironically, this is the kind of real makeup & techniques people would really use day by day. Of course everybody has a different preference, but its nice to do it once in awhile. See, your skin was amazing without the need of caking it up! 😊
He brings out the model’s original beauty instead of changing them according to general beauty standards. I love Makeup artists like him who respects a person’s original features, instead of changing them to look better, he accentuates them to look better. Sorry my English’s bad hope you get my point
Tasnuva Ashraf flattered is the wrong word in this instance, since it wasn’t about you. You feel happy perhaps...but no one complimented you so you have nothing to feel flattered about...
@@EmpressLilith222 flattered is correct too. She felt complimented because they were praising the same technique she used, meaning that the makeup was beautiful and it made her feel even more beautiful. Don't waste your time trying to tell people how to feel.
I love when Beauty RU-vidrs give us the details from the masterclasses! Thank you so much. Your skin looks fab. Was the moisturiser a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury?!
I completely agree with his highlight advice. It’s meant to enhance your natural glow so it just looks unnatural when people have their highlight down to their nose
This is literally the most inspiring video I have seen in a long long time... I used to watch videos and have the urge to go sit behind my dressing table and make myself up. I'm sitting behind it right now 🤨 more of this pleaaaaase, finally some new tips and tricks to test out!!!!! Love you!
I always use hair gel and put the tiniest bit on a spoolie and my eyebrows will stay fluffy and perfectly placed for the rest of the day but definitely gonna try the pritt stick trick ♥️
I would never... never...put glue where my much appreciated hair is. Soap is a much better trick and does the same and you won't run the risk you loose hair or create allergies (trust me: getting a glue allergy really sucks and you can get one pretty fast).
Miss Sunny DJ actually.. soap does damage too. It dries out your skin so much, and then you can get those bold spots between the eyebrows because of the dry skin flakes
This is easily the best makeup tutorial I’ve seen in a long while. Thank you for describing the “why” behind the uses of everything. Super helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back to watch this again and again to help me. This was amazing! Thank you for sharing Sir John’s tip with us! It came out beautifully on you!
Omg yes eye cream as a lip balm is the best hack ever!! One of my friends is a model and her make up artist tells all of the girls to use it as part of their skin care routine on a daily basis, particularly ones with vitamin E! I usually get really dry chapped lips but since I began doing this my lips have been sooo soft! (My fav eye creams are the Superdrug vit E and the Simple one ) :))
As someone with quite large eyes I have always had under eye “creasing” so it’s nice to hear these techniques because baking and all that heavy make up always looked so bad on me
So according to Beyoncé's makeup artist I've been doing my makeup right all along even but I'm honestly just really impatient when it comes to makeup even though I love it 😂
glue is awesome for brows. All of these tips make perfect sense.I love that he keeps it real and advised against what's "in" right now like the heavy concealer, foundation, and baking. You look great!
I actually use the Schwarzkopf got2b hair gel (the yellow tube), it's water resistant and the amount of product you get compared to actual makeup brands brow gels are insane lol. It's amazing 😂
Your skin after buffing with the brush still looks so beautiful. I like scars and bumps to show through, the foundation routine made your skin look really healthy and glowy !
This makeup is bomb! So fresh & natural & glowy, your skin looks amazing, you look so pretty!! Saw someone else in the comments saying they are sick of all these Instagram trends and I agree, this video was so refreshing
Ya, the glued look eyebrow, how's that safe or okay for skin health? I mean, you probably are doing this on a daily basis. Why not use a clear aloe vera gel, it works to keep brow hairs in place.
You know what, I'm not trying to bash or hate or anything like that BUT... I often get disappointed with sophs makeup looks as they come out looking very similar and I feel like I'm watching the same video all the time, HOWEVER this video was incredible and the tips he gave really worked for you Soph! You look so different (in a good way) your skin looked flawless the brows were incredible and the look just made you look so good. Really enjoyed this, hope you take this as a compliment and not in a hateful way 🙏💕
SOPH! PRAISE YOU FOR BRINGING THIS TO US. YOU are a saint for giving us this gift. 🙏🏼 I have watched this three times already. Also, that lip color actually looks gorgeous on you. I mean, truly beautiful and face brightening. I love it on you.
The finished product is so pretty on you soph. You look stunning and Ik you don’t like the lip color but it compliments this look so well, I never would’ve thought to pair the two together in fear of it clashing but I’m definitely going to try this out. Thank you for sharing your experience at the master class and passing on his tips can’t wait to use them in my daily routine. Keep up the good work.
You know a true MUA by their love of showing skin through foundation and it’s so much more fresh and beautiful! This in my opinion is the prettiest look I’ve seen you create. I’m going to try the glue eyebrows as my eyebrows seriously misbehave! I also want to try the highlight tip
Normally when you do a masterclass normally you have to sign a waiver saying that you’re not gonna be redistributing the teachings, I’d double check you’re allowed to do and publish this
Lol she is doing what she loves ..not against any laws ! The master class is to show you and she is showing us what she has learned .....so you don’t have to sign anything..if that would be the case ..not much people would be copying their favourite artists! JS
Chantal Knippenberg I do wanna start by saying that I thoroughly learned a lot from this video, I enjoyed it and the content and her delivery is great. I genuinely only say what I’ve said as a heads up for her to check any agreement she has with them. If you’re one of the organisers trying to let her know that it’s all good then great 👍🏻 but each class is different, and I’ve been to classes where you can’t record etc. and it’s fine, either way. And I’m not saying it’s against the law but if she’d agreed to the terms and conditions and they said it was a strict policy not to share their teachings they could have the grounds to sue potentially. Especially if she’s made money on this video. Now don’t get me wrong it could all be completely fine and they’ve been told it’s fine. I wouldn’t know, like I said, it’s only intended as a heads up 👍🏻
542mixie12 lol really not trying to be a party pooper, it’s just so funny cause if you knew me you’d know I’m the first to jump into mischief, but none of that is traceable/online. Please don’t try and twist my intentions. I noticed nobody has said anything like this so I’m trying to be nice and be like ‘hey make sure you don’t get screwed’ i’ve worked with lawyers, I know that could happen. I actually care that she doesn’t get screwed over 👍🏻 the law in the England can be especially fucked up.
See THIS IS WHY I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE THAT BAKING UNDER THE EYE LOOKS TERRIBLE! It completely dries out your undereye unless you have hella oily skin and are a teen! James Charles learned it and just ran with it on all these celebrities, and does the same technique no matter their skin type. I’m like WHAT ARE YOU DOING that is not going to age well an hour from now!!
the undereyes don't really produce any oils. so even for oily skin, it wouldn't look good on them. i have extremely oily. personally hated baking as well as thick loose powders. I'm prefer finely milled/sheer coverage pressed powders and loose powders
This is my favourite look on you. The eyes are stunning! The skin looks so natural but flawless! Your eyebrows are so incredible! The lip colour looks so good on you! This is the best makeup I’ve seen on you. Beautiful!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
So we are doing the same technique for concealer 👍🏻 glad I’m doing it right hahaha I kinda love natural look makeup too 😊 it makes you look young and fresh
Funny story, I actually LOVES to put eyelashes glue on client to set their brows and it will dry looking transparent so you don't have to worry about your brows looking white. The best thing about using this technique is it last forever, and it is waterproof!!
This makes me so happy, because this is similar to how I do my makeup, I can't get into the foundation/concealer layer upon layer on ones face especially my own, and baking, I have eczema on my face and dry patches so even when I tried baking on parts of my face that wernt dry, it would dry me out so bad on parts that weren't even dry ffs. Have oily lids so I usually put some clear powder on top of them but I really want to try his techniques!😩
Those tips are mpressive!!!you look so stunning with the makeup.feel like this is the best makeup you've done.especially those brows i am living for them!
Looks so stunning... I hope people to just stop following techniques from fame gain influencers. Just follow the professionals MUA. Few to name like Wayne Goss,Lisa Eldridge,Bobbie Brown etc.
Been watching you for years and I think this made your skin look beautiful and quite natural. You will have to let us know if the tips kept your smile line creasing to a minimum. Great to see you looking so healthy!💜💜❄️💄💋
@Debi Dooms Beyonce did work for L'oreal one time. N d Queen goes to target! I feel that as long as it works n d result is flawless.. She down with it... 😁
i’ve been using his lace front glue hack for my eyebrows for yonks now and it’s the best thing ever! even if i put no product on and it’s just glue, they look so natural.
I love makeup where it enhances rather than transforms! This style is similar to Pixiwoo's - fresh & beautiful, where the person wears the makeup rather than the other way around! Thanks for sharing these great tips!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing! im here with pen and paper, learning from you for free, in the comfort of bedroom. THANKS to you girl! 💕 bless your soul.
I utilized this method over the weekend to apply my makeup...it was GORGEOUS and FLAWLESS 🤯💕 I was astonished! Truly. I appreciate you for sharing this method and this is how I plan to apply my makeup from now on. The end result is naturally polished! Thanks again😘
Makeup artists always hardly touch the face with the brushes which it’s probably one of the biggest tips - always build product, do not apply in one big go
This makeup look is beautiful and I appreciate you so much for sharing these tips! ❤️ I’m always learning about makeup from RU-vid so it’s nice to see a video about actual makeup artist tips.
OMG! I have ALWAYS had this problem with creasing under my eyes but I legit just tried what you just did for under the eyes and GIRL it worked! WTF he really is a makeup God
I LOVE that foundation and concealer. The foundation is SO SKIN LIKE and the concealer is SO FULL COVERAGE. I prefer it over a lot of my high end foundation and concealer
