What I Like To Do When The Kids Are With Their Dad - Live Video 

I’m the only child of my father (who was the only boy of four children) so we named our only child/son “Coleman” because it was my maiden name. My dad was the last male to carry on the family name and since he didn’t have any boys, it felt natural. Shortly after I found out I was pregnant, my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer so this decision was even more impactful 💕I love family names, it grounds us and reminds us where we came from 😊

I had 2 boys 7-1/2 months apart-the older adopted. We lived on an acreage with a large garden lot with lots of dirt. When they were 5, I came home to see 2 boys naked but covered totally with mud. They looked like mud statues. To clean them, I had to hose them off with cold well water.😂

It’s nice that even though you are no longer with Skyler you chose a wonderful dad for them. They are altogether pretty lucky kids.

Love your family. I had my ear lobes pierced with the gun 3 separate holes. I have to keep earrings in or they close after 3 days. Can only wear the earrings that they pierce with or 14k gold. After I became an adult I had the upper part of my ears pierced at a tattoo parlor. Healed quickly and no problems. Can even have earrings out for long periods of time and the holes stay. The tatto parlor actually uses a needle and removes the skin. Where the gun forces it thru and body has reaction to the earring.

Tattoo parlor for piercing ears! I thought it was crazy, but my daughter had her first ear piercing done at the pediatrician's office with the piercing gun & it hurt so bad, one got infected, it was not a good experience. She is 20 now & decided to go to a local, reputable tattoo parlor for 2nd piercings & she said it was a wonderful experience, she barely felt it, and she had zero issues! She has always had severe eczema & allergies but had no issues with her newest ear piercings. They also said to not use alcohol or peroxide on them at all. Only use saline wound care.....and it was great! Can't wait to see precious Violet (and maybe her sisters) with their ears pierced! ❤

Given all of Violet's allergies, I would only get 24k gold earrings for her if you do decide to let her get them pierced. I'm allergic to every kind of earring except gold. My ears got infected so many times, despite taking good care of them, that I had to let them grow closed and get them re-pierced 3 times! Once I figured out gold was the trick, I never had infections. Stick with gold!

Thank you for the Q&A. My daughter's name is Sara Kate. Originally, I wanted to name my daughter Sara Katherine. However with a long last name, I was told to shorten the middle name to Kate. My daughter is also named after a great aunt of mine (first name) and a homeroom teacher(middle name) who I had in grade 8.

Hi Jamie! I’ve been here from the beautiful beginning. When the time comes, try and get the girls’ ears pierced at a tattoo parlor. A nice one but they are the best. The “guns” they use at these ear piercing places aren’t really great for your skin. 😊
