What I LOVE and HATE about my Honda CBR600RR

I'm on my 4th. All between the 2007-2012 model. Current is 09. You cannot go wrong. I had an 07 R6 before my current bike. cbr just felt so much better in my opinion. Not saying the R6 was bad in any way. But cbr600rr is just an amazing bike. Upload a vid of your bike if you get yours! Mine has a MGP growler and it sounds mean af!

Quick question for y’all. I’m looking into getting a cbr600, what year was the steering damper introduced to these bikes? And would it really matter too look into on with a already installed steering damper?

@@izikguzman7081i’m not sure if you’re still looking for one, but the 2007 and up cbr has electric steering damper.

​@@izikguzman7081hesd stands fir honda electronic steering damper. It's a electric module instead of the mechanical metal ones like ohlins. It does the job well and at high speeds like hwy rides it does a very good job of tank slapping/wobbles but to an extend. All in all its very good and high tech. I believe it came in the 07-12 generation which is the best and fastest and best looking imo, also that model will go up in value which it already has especially the 07/08 year model specifically. Their raw and the fastest, from those years on it gotten more limited, slower etc.. but their still good all the way through current cbr600rrs. I recommend those ones. I had 1 10 years ago and commuted daily to work for 3 years with no issues, even the occasional abusing it, its so reliable and never let me down. Even crashing ( soft and low side crashes and 1 high side) it still goes. Hope that helps and goodlcuk

@@izikguzman7081I believe after 2007 or 2008 they have an electronic steering dampener. The previous year 600rr’s don’t have any kind of steering dampener system if I remember correctly.

I have a 99 cbr and love it lol my first bike ever idk if I wanna get a newer version or maybe try a different motorcycle

I started on a 250 also and only rode it for a season. It was so slow lol. Life happened and I never bought another bike. That was 10 years ago 😅 I’m shopping for a cbr600rr now. I’m a little worried about the power after not riding for that long but I’m just gonna take it slow and respect the bike.

uh the r7 is a half inch taller and ergonomics are way more aggressive because it’s the successor to the R6 that was discontinued …

@champainshane Yeah the height difference isn't the biggest but it's enough of a difference for me specifically to be more comfortable! And yes, its made to be more aggressive bc its meant to be a street/track bike. Hence, why the CBR seat is wider and more comfortable. It's all completely up to each rider and their inseam! I know those FZR's are insane and wonderful bikes, I'd still get one for sure!! I just can't afford one new and I'd rather not finance a bike. Plus, no offense to the riders, but there's so many brand new riders on brand new R7s, and it lowkey gives a bad rep

I think any year R6 I’ve ever seen looks way better than the same year CBR, no question about it whatsoever. Yamaha is just so much better at making beautiful bikes, whereas aesthetics is one of the areas that Honda is lacking in most

Your Speedo on your r6 was waaay off. Thats why you think it was quicker

@@juicy9592 I kinda figured that. But it still got to the top speed quicker no doubt cause every time you shift your still in the power band vs Honda the power band is mid range. Unless you shift early asf you won’t get there as quick and you’ll loose top speed.

I put ebc sintered pads on my 08 cbr and it helped a lot. I also added stainless steel lines and brembo rcs19 master cylinder, now the brakes are great

You should fit fine.. Bare in mind it's a sports bike

Got an 08’ for my first bike just a couple weeks ago too. Love it. Super easy to learn on and I feel pretty comfortable and confident on it.

Better visibility to people in cars and also makes the bike look better. High beam turns on both headlights vs just 1 and people wont tell you that you have a headlight out..🤣
