My husband is a Marine. We retired 4 years ago. Trust me when I say I can pack. LOL, I do the same thing when I'm flying. I wear comfortable clothes and flip flops. I also would sleep. I use to get sick a lot from traveling, so I would take a lot of Vitamin C before getting on a plane. I carry a neck pillow and an eye mask.

I absolutely LOVE packing for trips, and watching content on what other people pack! Love that you're doing this series!!

Think of how you say sky, except with an L instead of a K thus SLY.. I'm not sure if you know but Slaai is the Afrikaans word for Salad thus the green packaging :) Hope its helpful!

That’s such a sensible and awesome business relationship to have with Sephora. No matter paid or not there is absolutely products that you will buy from them. It’s just putting them in one video. 👍🏻.

I saw the short nails and I called the police. “She’s being held hostage!” Needless to say they hung up. Lol.

For about 6 years i traveled for work. I would be away 16 weeks at a time. I would bring 2 suit cases a carry on and a big purse. I had suitcases i could stack and clip together. My carry on clipped to my big suitcase. I could move everything myself. I got damn good at packing for long stays and only would do laundry every 2 weeks. Hotels sometimes will do it or you can do a wash and fold for about 1.50 a pound. I worked 100 hour weeks so i didnt have the luxury of time. So packing smart was essential. I rolled, stuffed and used my spaces wisely. Onlyvtaking what was an absolute necessity. A travel steamer was a god send. I limited myself to just the basics of skin care and makeup. Which i carried on. My carry on had 24 hour necessitys incase of lost luggage. The best tip i have is make sure the clothing you take can do a lot and everything can go together.

What a great video. And the fact it’s broken down makes it digestible for my brain, and also easy to play instantly, rather than have to plan an hour or so to myself to watch it in peace. My question, is did you switch up your perfume, or basically what fragrance did you wear. X

I LITERALLY just went on a month long trip to America and made a post about travel skincare 😂 and as always, I'm so happy we are getting 3 videos!!! Essentially, in my post I said travel skincare is about maintaining, protecting and repairing. Cause our skin is already going through a lot with climate change, long flights, more sun exposure, and just travel in general, just leave the actives at home, if we could maintain the skin we left for holidays with, that's a good thing. I would always bring something that's soothing and repairing just in case. Acids and retinols stay at home, if you wanna keep up with the anti-aging, try peptides, look into the Asian skincare peeling gels for exfoliation, they are super gentle. A lower percentage vit c would be OK in my opinion. Don't try anything new, bring products you are familiar with that won't cause any irritations. I suggested to do your skincare routine before your flight cause plane recycled air is extremely dry, and the last thing you want is to put on a face mask cause that's most likely gonna dry you out instead. And definitely wear spf on a flight, cause the uv rays are much stronger up there. And that's pretty much it. Another thing I like to add is that if you are packing a lot of clothes and have limited space, roll them up, if you have space, you can get those packing bags for inside the suitcase, they come in sets, and they are the best thing I've ever tried, things in your suitcase is not flying everywhere anymore, they neatly stay in those separate pouches, and also easy to pull out and put back in. (when do you think we will get an Asian skincare video? ❤❤❤)

Thoroughly enjoyed your adventures on Instagram. I had been to all the places except the French Riviera. I have packed for 21 days & always pack around black. I always put toiletries in zip lock bags. It’s really such a challenge keeping everything under 50lbs. You are right...you have to be able to handle your own suitcases. We usually go on tours as the hubs can’t drive here much less there. Looking forward to your videos.

I used to take a train case full of makeup and skincare for a 3 day stay at a cottage! 🤣😂 It was hot and humid, and I ended up just using my IT Cosmetics CC + Cream, sunscreen, blue eyeliner, mascara and lip balm with SPF. At night I used a cleanser and moisturizer. These days, I do bring more skincare, but a stripped down version and all in single use packs, travel sizes. For essences, toners, mists and serums, I reuse small spray bottles and the Drunk Elephant mini airless tubes. I can fit it all in a small makeup pouch. For makeup, I usually bring my Becca Be a Light face palette or my NARS face palette and use them on my eyes, as well. If I really want to save space, I bring my IT Cosmetics Holiday Book (it's small and fold out) which has cream concealer/contours, lipsticks, powder, blush, bronzer, highlight, brow and liner powders and eyeshadows. I bring mini sized makeup such as primer, lipsticks, mascara and pencil liners. I put some of my CC Cream in a small tub and can fit it in a large makeup bag (including a slew of mini Sephora makeup brushes and a sponge).

Little tip for you guys, use vitamin c shower filters - ah- ma-yz-in-g for skin and hair. Brighter, clearer skin in days. Aloe vera is awesome too. Vit.C Hair + Bod. do really good vitamin C kits. I think they're a London based company. Thank me later! x

Glad you're back!! I hope this was a trip of a lifetime, doing it alone even part of the way is an amazing experience (a small percentage of us prefer it...). Every time I travel I shed all unnecessary garbage I thought I needed, the most effective & quickest declutter! I know your focus started before your trip and I think it's happened to many of us who are just burnt out on makeup. They've overwhelmed & saturated the market, so much is all the same... But skincare will always be a must and lashes! I had extensions this Summer and I swear that's all you need. It feels like we're evolving to a better, simpler place.

My hippie grocery store has the tiniest little glass dropper bottles, and I use that to bring a little bit of oil with me, if I'm carrying on everything. And I save all my Sephora sample containers and "travel sized" jars to pack hair products and lotions. Of course, that wouldn't be enough for a month!! My neurotic tip: I bring a spray hand sanitizer, and get some paper towel from the bathroom before I get on the plane. Then I wipe down the seat back tray, and arm rests. You know they can't possibly clean them between flights!!

I'm in a hybrid law school program so I need to fly from Phoenix to Minneapolis at least three times a year for 7 days each. I hate checking my luggage and have to bring all my books and computer with, so packing has become an obsession, especially with winter coming. I've almost completely changed my wardrobe to travel-friendly clothing, mostly the brand Anatomie. Their stuff rolls up and packs into nothing. They can be dry within a few hours or I can use my blow dryer and they dry within minutes. I love the brand, but winter is gonna make things interesting. I'm used to Phoenix weather, so Minnesota in November should be interesting.

I love a face palette when I travel. One of the Hourglass palettes would be my first pick. Multi-tasking products are great, like the Nudestix all over face sticks. I like to take a glitter shadow for an easy evening eye look with some bronzer in the crease. Having said that, I always end up packing more makeup than I need. 🥰 There’s nothing worse than being in a hotel room getting ready and your husband is asking how long you’re going to be. 😆

decant decant decant! for some reason i use a lot less product when i’m travelling, so decanting my full-size products into small travel bottles (e.g., by Muji, Humangear, etc) lightens the load. if i ever get a chance to get my favorite products in a potentially refillable and sturdy travel size, i keep that container and just refill as needed (e.g., tarte knockout, urban decay all nighter, DHC deep cleansing oil)

It is because of you that I was introduced to @Caroline Hirons channel Who has also brought such a wealth of knowledge to the skin care world. I've said this before and I'll say it again you have taught me so many things when it comes to make up and skin care and chemical Sun screens versus physical Sun screens, products being tested on animals and not being tested just because they are manufactured but not sold in China. You taught us about private labeling and how companies can charge more money just because of a label but it's the same exact product. Your Transparency when it comes to how you truly feel about how a product wears like when you would do your hours long lipstick wears/ check ins for us just so we could see what a product would perform like, To me that is full on dedication. I love how you're amazing at story telling and how you shared with us about your mom and how she was in the business of beauty as well but in a different arena like with hair and nail salon products. She's the BaddA** Boss just like her daughter And not to mention that you both are beautiful, funny as well and from what it seems to us as followers & consumers you are so relatable. To put your relationship and please forgive me if I spell it wrong with Keegan And how heartbreaking it was to have to move and leave that part behind, To your volunteering To be a big sister role model for youth, your sweet Animals. Not giving a care Of what people think when it comes to something just being popular or on trend. You are timeless and I just can't put into words how much you truly mean and what a ground breaker you are. I just hope in my heart that you are readying your net and I mean that by you are going to bring in so much revenue and I hope you're ready for it and you are already successful but I don't think we've seen anything yet when it comes to the amount of success that you are going to achieve. You are brilliant and your honesty and relatability are the most wonderful refreshing qualities that I've ever witnessed from any influencer. I always pack samples as much as possible and transfer some of my full-size products into travel-size containers.

I am a last minute packer also. My hubby knows I'm going to have to make a stop wherever we're going to pick up stuff I've forgotten. It's been everything from underwear to shoes. lol

I am going away for 5 weeks in November and this got me thinking about what to bring. I do like minis for travel but being away for so long I don’t think all of them would last. I like the idea of having a refreshing mist that can go in your carry on. I do have dry combo skin. I do usually bring one small eyeshadow palette for when I go out. I love the Dior backstage in cool because it also has eye primer in it.

I travel quite often and really appreciate being practical on what I take with me. I used to pack way too much and always regretted it since I didn’t use everything but still had to carry it around. I do always throw in samples that I get from Sephora that I have in my stash. It’s a good time to try things and have small amounts of things. I also take the perfume samplers and some mini products. In my carryon I always have a small hand lotion

When I travel for extended period of time my absolute must have, can not live without, will Amazon or buy if able if I forget to pack it, always make room for in suitcase is Soap, shower shoes, robe, and blender are a MUST! I am obsessed with Dr. Bonner Castile soap and L'occitane shower oil. Can not use anything else, can not live without. The robe and the blender are self explanatory. Blender is always in my carry on or is my personal item. The love is real.

i bring travel size everything - those GWPs sephora does comes in handy sometimes!

A face spray is essential! I always pack one no matter where I go, it’s a quick hit of hydration and kind of replaces the toner/essence step when I’m away. That Fresh one is awesome.

I live in California and i travel once a year back home to Greece for at least a month. Packing light can be challenging but I’m getting there 😄
