Here's what I honestly think about Dirt Lifestyle, Trail Recon, Whistlin Diesel, and some others... Am I wrong?? These RU-vid channel reviews are my opinion on these popular channels.

My interests are very diverse. I like everything from off roading to homesteading to drag racing. The channels i gravitate towards are the ones where the people seem most real. No matter how big or small the channel is. People you think, hey i coyld hang out with them. Your channel is one of those. You're just who you are like it or leave it. Enjoyed the review.

Whether i agree with those opinions or not doesn't matter. But i do love to here them regardless, especially considering i just started posting my jeep outings on here a few months ago and trying to find a groove and what style works for me? I usually watch stuff i can relate to and being we're into same things and live in same area is what led me to your channel when i started this. I almost wish more youtubers in this genre would put a video out like this to give tiny channels like myself pointers from someone more experienced.

Just stumbled across your channel researching Holy Cross, and I decided to subscribe, watched your video in the Black Hills, and then this one. I am curious about your RU-vid journey and as a new channel still trying to figure out what works best for me, and I'm open to construction criticism. Preach on about the narrating lol we don't even watch many that narrate too much, its lazy filmmaking in my opinion, and I don't feel like you get to really know people. I would rather watch people sit around camp and chat and really get to know them more. Talk to the camera, talk to the viewers or just film everything and narrate later lol (TSTN is actually good though lol) we do like to watch his stuff

You are right on about TrailRecon. I met Brad for the first time at that same MOORR expo. I came by your booth too but you and Brandi were talking with some people so I just nodded and kept walking. Brad is a great guy, but his videos are getting kind of hum drum. Ozark Overland Adventure is nothing more than a hocking of fridges and power packs that seem to be “the best” as soon as they are comped. Matt’s Recovery has great videos but if you aren’t into I understand not watching. I like real life videos that are just shot, good or bad. Keep up what you’re doing and don’t smash your fingers off.

I do watch Ozark but that is because you do not have a new video from you. I look for you first then if you have nothing new I watch them.

Did any of the other channels that you put in your parody video take offense to it. I actually commented on one of Matt's recent videos, I thought his Midwest videos were getting stale. I still watch his videos made out west.

I followed your Badge of honor series and thought it was awesome then the Rory drama happened (no interest in his content especially after the BS you went through) but then the RU-vid success video came out and how much money you dumped into it. It was then when I was like is this couple doing this because they enjoy it and are having fun or are they looking for a get rich quick? I was pissed when I 1st watched this video and was like WTF seriously but then I let it sink in and was like damn, kudos to him for putting his opinions out there. Dirt lifestyle is informative and entertaining, TSTN is pure cinematic entertainment, Trail Recon is informative of cool places and showing off product that no one can afford, Ozark no clue..used to be informative and entertaining but turned into 90% headshots and 10% trail Matt turned it into a job and it shows, WD is pure jackass WTF entertainment. People are people and some like a full on headshot video and others are more STFU and show the trail and carnage. Cant please everyone but there is always people that enjoy the content thats put out there. How some channels are so succesfull is a major head scratcher but we are in a world that some people like to dress up as animals while others like pickles and icecream 🤷‍♂. RU-vid is free entertainment and people want to be entertained.

@@BenandBrandi I will, honesty and outspokeness is awesome. Shame on me for jumping the gun, taking offense for channels I like and forgetting we're in the times of sugar coated puppies and rainbows. Just watched your Alabama video 👍. Dude, its perfect. To the point, showing the trail, expressing the BS parts, & showing how your rig handles it. Thats what I search for and like but its just me, one subscriber and a few penny's to the pot. You have a good mix, difficult to find that one niche that sky rockets a channel. Good luck to you and hope to see more.

Why do you feel the need to critique other RU-vidrs? Everyone should be able to do what they want on THEIR channel. If you don’t like it, who cares. I’ve been subscribed for a while but I think I’m done.

Need a safe space? My god. Since when is critique a bad thing? Everything in life should be evaluated so people can master a craft. Go to any trainer in anything and that’s what you pay for… take care.

I think you’re the one that needs a safe space. You seem to have an issue with anyone that doesn’t see the world the way you do. What happened to letting people do their own thing? Like I said, I’ve been a subscriber for awhile and enjoy some of your videos but always so judgmental. You do videos your way and let others do them their way. Who cares?

Of course others RU-vidrs can do what they want on their channel. Who said they couldn't?? But Ben has a right to to shit talk on them or not. His right. It is wise?...time will tell. I am not here to stick up for Ben as he loves deleting my comments on videos, so Ben himself is bit of a petunia.

Yeah Brad is very “clickish”. His on screen personality is NOT how he is in real life. I spent a week with him and tried to interact with him several times and he just seemed as if I was bothering him. He also followed me on social media for a while but unfollowed me recently. I really don’t care about if someone follows me or not, but he is not the person you see on RU-vid in real life. But I would suspect most are not who they seem to be.
