LOVED the editing style of this video so much! And it was very interesting seeing all the financial details as well! Very well done Clancy! P.S.-So excited to see your upcoming charlotte vlogs!!
Also depending on where the car is stored, just take it off insurance for however long you’re not driving it for. My husband has an old mustang he races half the year then when the colder months come, we take it off insurance and put it back on in spring
I love this video concept! It’s a fun twist on a vlog because we still get to see what you’re doing, but in a fun new form! This would be so fun to see in each city how you lifestyle and routine changes!
I've had about 5 of your videos saved in my watch later, and finally binge watching them. I've recently lost my unborn baby and so I've been taking a break from watching RU-vid to recover and to spend time with my 2 year old. So happy to be back watching your videos. Makes me so happy 🥰
My husband and I also do this. I go shopping for both of us and make most of our dinners, but lunch and breakfast are on our own and we even have separate shelfs in our pantry/fridge haha. It works even if some people find it weird.
Loved the style of this video and how open and raw it was. I hate watching them where they only tell you what they spend on groceries and coffee… that isn’t accurate! We can always count on you to be honest and give us the real thing! Love these videos! Look forward to Wednesday’s & Saturdays! ❤️❤️
Great vlog, Clancy! It was really an interesting watch! It has paid off that you've been wise with your money- good for you that you can afford to live like this for a time. 🌷 You two enjoy every minute! ❤️
I actually think this is amazing. You’re doing something a lot of people are afraid to do. If you took out the Airbnb price you really aren’t spending much more than you did 3 years ago in your last video. Around about of $444 I think that’s doing amazing! You are obviously very smart financially and you work hard for that. I think it’s great that you are able to pay way ahead of time for airbnbs and still living very comfortably. To think you did this for your mental and physical health when you left your job and now look at you! ♥️♥️
So random but does anyone else love that like clicking sound when a new pic is inserted into the video? So satisfying haha. The level of detail in your video is immaculate Clancy! We notice and appreciate the amazing amount of effort that you put in 👏
I love this!! So fun to see the cost of things around the country. If you wanted to cut costs a bit - it saves to prepay car insurance for the year. We save around 15% for the year by paying once vs month to month.
This will be an interesting series! I look forward to seeing how each region/state/city rates with this weekly budget. I watch another RU-vidr that is based in North Carolina and she does a lot of grocery shopping in South Carolina at discount grocery outlets. But it’s going to be interesting to see if you can find a Kroger in each state, the price comparison in what they charge for staples that you obviously purchase! And it’s your money Clancy! Yes, it’s different seeing you spend because, again, we are used to seeing frugal Clancy, but i think anyone that has watched you long enough knows that you are very responsible with your money! So if you can get out there, experience life in different cities, have a bit of fun, etc, then do it! You make the money! It is no one’s business how you spend it! And I loved all the outfits! You looked so good in all of them! I really loved that green shirt at the end! It really went well with your complexion and hair color! I hope Zach is feeling better! Love to you both!
I really found this video interesting as I always wonder how much RU-vidrs spend in a week or month. I liked how you were honest and you included everything because I don’t think others do. Honestly what you spend in a week doesn’t seem so bad I think you’re doing a good job with what you have.
I like the breaking down of the monthly costs into weekly, so many people leave those out or the other side where they paid all their bills in one day so it's a bit inflated
I have a toddler so am very time poor. Usually I skip through videos on RU-vid (I'm sorry - including yours! Reality of life). But, this is the first video that I have watched start to end and haven't even considered skipping!! Your editing was super captivating this week! Definitely looking forward to this in each place :)
loved the vibe of this video! great editing. also, it's okay to go through different seasons of saving and spending. you're on an amazing adventure with your fiance! these will be memories you guys talk about forever! xo
Just wanted to say I tried burn boot camp after watching a couple of your videos and ended up loving it and signed up! I was at orange theory and was getting kind of bored. Tried burn and I love that workouts are always different! A little more expensive in NJ.. 159 here but worth it :)
Loved this video, loved the fact that you included everything. I also love the fact that you're allowing yourself to take full advantage of this time and opportunity!
This is the best way to travel!! Like you said, could definitely do it frugally, but its also a treat and if you can afford to do a trip like this I highly recommend. Gotta enjoy life and the money will always come back-- time and life can’t. Enjoy yourself Clancy and thanks foe the transparency and content. Bring back the Clancy chime! Haha
Happy birthday Clancy!!! I hope you have a fabulous day! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Thankful to have been watching you for nearly a decade!!💕🥳🎉🎊🎁
We’ve lived here my entire life and spend no where near that in Nashville a week!!! That being said you’re traveling and trying new things, new experiences so girl do you. You wanna get that salad 3 times in one week, you do it!! 😂 Also so sad you didn’t try any of Arrington’s wines!! They’re amazing, my sister use to work there and we would go constantly. She gave us the inside on a celebrity guest one time, turns out Taylor Launtner’s sister got engaged that night and my husband and I were standing right beside all of them right after it happened 🥰
This video was a refreshing change from the day in the life videos and eye opening! I look forward in seeing the differences with each city. Happy birthday, Clancy! I hope you enjoy your day!
that is true you can live frugal or not and you've saved for this, enjoy it. I live in an RV and i paid 3,500 for 6 months and everything was included (electric, water, trash, sewer) And i had a pool, playground, and other things. I just have to pay for food, gas (which isn't to much b/c i am stationary right now) propane, and homeschool curriculum.
I love this. When I travel, I track my expenses too so I know how to plan expenses if I return to that city. I really don't think your weekly final total was bad at all. The way I look at it? A week long vacation would be a lot more than you spent and you aren't paying for a living space "back home". I'm curious to see these videos in each city you visit. Love this video!❤
Good morning Clancy. Absolutely stunning video. Your budgeting and frugality skills are impeccable. There's nothing like a smart self sufficient woman such as yourself. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊😊😎😎
The fact that you have no debt is incredible and helping you. The fact you paid for these air bnb’s ahead of time is incredible! You don’t spend nearly what many people your age do on senseless things. Some people spend $10 or more per day on coffee! Question - Do you get to deduct your air bnb as a business expense? In the long run I feel like this year will really increase your channel and brand a lot!
I will say you and I are almost total opposites in so many ways but I love watching you because you are true to yourself! Also I would love to see you go out of the country one day. Out of your element.
Loved this video and the editing, you’re doing such an awesome job transitioning to this new lifestyle. Safe travels, can’t wait to see what charlotte has in store for you!
Great vlog !!! I love how you explain things, it's always so clear and concise I could literally listen to you talk for hours haha ! Love from Canada :)
This was such a great way to see what things cost in other parts of the country Would love to see a version of this video for the other places you and zach go with the rest of your traveling adventures Love your videos
This was fun to watch. It was actually more reasonable than I would have expected - considering you are in a large city. It was definitely a good idea to take advantage of the huge discount for staying a full month. One question - are you paying for the full airbnb cost or splitting it with Zac?
I loved this video! Really appreciated how transparent and realistic you were with all your expenses! Would defo love to see more of these types of vids
Loved the inside scoop! Nice one, Clancy! Thank you for the financial reality, it's all relative and will be an especially important factor when you finally settle down. 😊🧡😊🤩👏
So much fun seeing you out and about in Nashville 💜 Enjoy yourself and don't worry if people are critical you know yourself and finances best ❤️ Looking forward to vlogs from Charlotte 😊 Missed the chocolate oatmeal montage😋 sending you an up thumb 👍 see ya Wednesday 😊
This is such a great video, I'm glad you ended up doing this topic! I hope you do one of these for every city. I am moving soon and this kind of real life no bs info is hard to find! I love you included your splurges. I'm not getting facials, but I am doing laser hair removal right now. And I don't have a gym membership but I have a dog, and she's esspensive. And seriously, the only person whose opinion matters on how you spend your money... is you. PS. I hope you have a good plan for your car insurance. I know there are plans for cars that aren't being driven much/at all. I switched to mile-wise car insurance when I started to work full time remove and I save A TON of money.
I really feel like I need to know this for myself now too! Like I know, but I don't really have a set budget anymore and I feel like I might curb my spending a bit if I did!
This is your life and your time in your life to be doing this. So don’t feel guilty don’t let others guilt you or shame you live your best life. I am happy and envious of your life right now but more happy.
Hi, Clancy and Happy Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🌈💖💖💖💖💖👍. This new vlog makes me super happy with great ideas and facts about the city. Also, I'm allergic to sea salt, too.😢. So...yeah. Have fun in Nashville, Clancy and happy early Labor Day!😊😙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🌈🌷💖💖💖💖💖😊👍
Your what you spend in a week video a few years ago is how I first came across your channel (I watch a lot of financial videos) I have been enjoying your channel ever since ❤️🤑
To quote Zach from last week, "this is not sustainable". Other than going out to eat, bars for drinks and being merry, what are you doing in these towns to decide if you want to live there? I understand you are doing things that 20somethings do - but is nightlife fun a sole determinate of a great place to live? What other lifestyle priorities do you two have? Just asking cuz in my opinion, you should share that. Otherwise this whole traveling bit is just you two going out at night for meals and alcohol. At least as a viewer, that is my take thus far. Aren't you two trying to find a place to settle down and raise a family post nuptials? Not dragging you - listen...I had a blast when I was your age doing this sort of thing. But you say the goal is to find a place to live and I don't know how you are doing that by just going out to hit the night life. But hey, maybe I am missing something. Just a point of interest as a video viewer.
Love this! And love that you’re just living now! Excited to see what’s to come for you two. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Charlotte, BTW. I hope they have a Greenery Co for your sake LOL! Enjoy every moment of this once in a lifetime opportunity! Anddd Happy Birthday!!! 🎉
Also! Can we get some wedding planning updates?!! What have you accomplished? What is on your list to do still? What’s your budget for your wedding? I’m proud of your frugality!
Like most people are saying tbh I would really(me personally) consider this time in yall lives to be an extended vacation most folks when they vacation and travel to new places honestly spend a little more like you said its a once in a lifetime opportunity as frugal as I am I would def spend more on experiences and trying different restaurants etc... during a time like this especially if planned and saved for already!
I loooove these behind-the-scenes kinds of videos! It is fascinating to see how much everything costs in America. Did you include your concert tickets or entertainment costs?
I love the editing. The way that you inserted yourself I loved in between to explain. I liked how you were not in the same outfit. The whole video editing was on point ! Also, love the new sunglasses! Where did you get them or brand ?
You should be able to get your car insurance reduced if it's just parked. (Unless the amount you are paying IS the parked cost). I can't remember the term they have for it but most insurance companies will keep a minimal lifeline coverage on it if you're not using it for an extended period then you can return it to the "normal" state later when you're driving it again. Might save you some $$$.
I really loved this video and the editing was awesome! I hope you do this for each city. I also love your Instagram montage about your stay in Nashville. Happy Birthday ( sorry I'm belated) I hope you had a wonderful day and enjoyed your breakfast in bed 🤣 Love y'all 💖✨
I am soooo the same way when i go shopping for full priced items. Honestly, you should and deserve to treat yourself every once in awhile. You should try Shein sometime and do a haul for us! That's where alot of people i know have been shopping lately. you have to read the reviews because sometimes its a little tricky with sizes but they have alot of cute stuff for super good prices !!
The fact that you woke up at 2:00 a.m. in the morning for work for years...I can't imagine. So you need to catch up on Life so enjoy. Some years you spend money and some you don't! Plus we all saved money during the Pandemic...😉🥰🥰 Edit: Is it your birthday? Ahhh...a Virgo! 🥳🥳🥳 Have a fun b'day!!🥰🥰
Anyone hating on you or judging you, they're just jealous. You aren't going too crazy here, if you have the money to do all this it all seemed reasonable to me. Have fun. :)
I LOVE Arrington! My best friend lives 15 minutes from there and it's so good. You can also bring your own food which helps save on the mediocre food there. Kix Brooks from Brooks and Dunn is the owner which is also so fun. Hope you had the best time in one of my favorite cities.
Great video Clancy....thanks for being so very honest/transparent....love your channel...can't wait to see how you like Charlotte and where you will travel to in the upcoming months! 😊
Thank you for being so transparent with us! This is why you're my fave RU-vidr! 💓 Also love the green shirt ur wearing at the end of the vid, it fits you! 💚🥰
Don't forget you guys are splitting the rental. So that number should have been half. That number had to hurt to look at. I would have choked on that. Glad to see your enjoying life and not pinching pennies like you have been majority of your youtube career.
Completely unnecessary information, but my back cracked when I laughed after you said "I like cooki....wait I almost lied" 😂 Just like you I also throw things together and accidently call it cooking sometimes haha
I think having the comparative of all the different cities will be really nice! Honestly you didn’t do too bad given that this is an unusual period of travel and exploration
It’s not BAD at ALL! girl live your lifeeeeeeee you’re young with your fiancé … as long as you’re not spending more than you have (like you said) it’s FINEEE
If you’re not driving your car right now you can lower the insurance to save some money. I think it’s called recreational which means you’re driving less than a certain number of miles a year (mine is less than 5,000) it saves a lot. Still fully insured but you’re lower risk because you’re not driving it much.
i highly reccomend using phonto for thumbnails! i use it personally and its completely free! but anyways i love this video!!! the editing style is so fun on this video too!!
