Ohhhh love this list! Mine are 1. Good coffee with a middle of the road espresso machine. YUM! 2. Bedding- same reasons as you! 3. Quality food- I am vegan and eat organic but it's so worth it to me 4. Pretty dishes to eat off of- I used to by the cheapest and now, I have curated a beautiful set of English white and blue dishes. Just enough for my needs. I also bought 2 cats bowls, because they deserve fancy dishes too! 5. I am on the same train with you with clothing. I have less but better quality. I donated all the lesser quality items, even if I loved the style or color. They just don't last. 6. Pedicures- I am on my feet everyday and so I get a pedicure every 2 weeks. 7. To go along with pedicures, a 1x month full body massage, Best thing I have ever bought myself! 8. I recently repainted and changed my decor in my home. I bought some antique French chandeliers and they make me so happy. Good, happy lighting. 9. Books- yep, I still by them and I am building a library but I splurge a bit on the quality of the book covers and papers- It's an obsession to hunt down older, used books. My home is pretty simple but has a floor to ceiling wall dedicated to just books.

My cats are flower destroyers! Vases loaded with water have been attacked no matter where I put them! Floods, shattered glass, ripped up blossoms- ugh! I do have a few green plants but had to make sure that they were safe for cats in case they were eaten. Bonus is a “civilized” boy but I have a bunch of delinquents!!

Another lovely video. There are a few things that I truly love and would not want to be without. Scented soy candles, fresh flowers and plants, good quality chocolate, cotton sheets in the summer and flannel sheets in the winter, and cashmere sweaters are my favourite things.

I’m live on an island of mainland Scotland..and I feel my list is almost exactly the same as yours … I would have less things in my home but Himself hoards … my own belongs are minimal and it makes me happy

He always is where you are, that sweet tuxedo boy. It is nice to spoil others, eh. I love that. Plus, good clothing that goes for a long time is better for the environment, like bedding and good skin care. I have a garden. To pick flowers from my own garden is a luxury, I plant seeds every year. Especially the pots of Lathyrus, which fill the house with the scent of their posies. Your balcony looks so sweet with the white violets 🤍

.Five years ago I traded the monthly salon appointments to dye and straighten my hair as well as the biweekly manicures and pedicures. I became serious about what went on my body and now I rock my gray hair in its natural wave and do the mani/pedi at home skipping the polish for buffed shine. What I do splurge on is the great skin care and its therapies ( facials, massages, dermatology visits )and clean make-up. For me worth every penny.😎

With age comes wisdom. I, too, spend a bit more on hair and skin care, clothing, bedding, and fresh flowers as I get older. It took me a while to accept that I am worth it! On the flip side, I tend to gift others in the same way because they deserve it, too.

It is very relaxing watching...i had a month in Italy April....my daughter took me was a little stressful with two little ones... It was mainly for my birthday...(a. Big one).... And sadly my husband passed away in December...ive haven't been away in over five years.. we went to Pisa... Florence.. Rome.. Pompeii.. Martina Franca.. Brindisi.. then flight to Verona...and last Milan.. was quite a treck...but some good memories made.. I love your style... simplicity, calming, restful home... Very easy to live comfortably.. thank you for sharing.

I completely agree with buying quality items. I choose clothing of natural fabrics and the same for bedding, furnishings and household items. I am working towards a capsule wardrobe with my base color as navy. Every item in my new summer wardrobe goes with navy. I also donate a piece of clothing for every item I buy. I have been following your tips for decluttering and have gotten my husband on board as well. Always enjoy seeing Bonus as well. I lost my tuxedo cat Lily years ago. I enjoyed her so much. Adopting another pet is on my mind. Looking forward to seeing more of your summer house this summer.

Hi Benita! Our items we still buy are very similar. I have pared down my wardrobe to a few but plenty, quality items, treat myself to flowers once in awhile but since moving into a house with a yard in November, can now cut my own from my yard! Currently I have roses and zinnias. I also spend on good hair care products and although pricey, they last a long time as need to use very little. Have a great week! Hello from USA/SC.😎🏝

Thanks for all your knowledge and calm influence over the years! I totally agree with you on good quality bed linen, i was in a beautiful 5 star hotel a couple of weeks ago and they had amazing bedding 😍, i feel like I live in a fancy hotel every night when I climb into bed 😉. I like plants and fresh flowers as well 😊. Last year i spent money framing new original artwork and reframing so pieces that we have had for a long time, I'm glad that I did it as now I get to see them every day 😊. We all have things that bring value and joy to our lives, we should invest in those things, I love to travel and in less than 48 hours we as a family are going to go swimming with dolphins 😱😁😁😁😁🤩🤩🤩🤩, I am sure that it will be a highly memorable experience 😊

Shoes. How funny, I spent my 20's buying the latest shoes. Now I spend good money on shoes that helps with just basic walking, lol. Plantar fasciitis is no joy, but the proper shoes has made a big difference.
