If you want bona-fide knocking drums, you'll have to invest in an old school MPC. From the 4000 down, none of this new software based mpcs. They're the same as using drums in your daw

I want to just give you your props, first for your transparency and for how open you were to do this video. Second, I know alot of thought and time went into this topic and it's funny because I see this in the community so much. It's sad. It I know that the bigger you get, the more drama. I'm glad for the building of just being who I am here on the RU-vid space. Seeing alot of this now, I can only say that what I do is just a small part of some others I have seen to try and be different. I subbed to yo and pray for your continued success. Most of us would take a beat from Dame before any of these guys. His actual presence in the industry kinda confirms that. With that said, being a good producer is not the same as being a good teacher for the masses. I think Dame's personality works better for in person , mentor type teaching. Busyworks and others mention are better personalities for mass consumption. Absolutely nobody would want BWB to make a beat for them, but he is a great resource for beginning Fl beat makers. I find with all of them you have to know what to skip . I think think you have a balanced and healthy perspective.

Correct. Knowing what to take from someone willing to teach. I always say that sometimes the most talented people are not always the perfect teachers or may have teaching approach that's not for everyone. I think it's the case for him. With my military background, I've experienced that quite a bit and got to understand what to take with me. I'm always trying to improve my thought process and I'm very very open to suggestions and criticism (constructive or not cuz people have choices). I appreciate your feedback 💯💯🙏🏾

"His actual presence in the industry" I ask this with all sincerity and open-mindedness: What is his actual presence in industry or his claim to be industry? (All I've ever been able to find is that he played piano on a couple Conya Doss songs and he did some songs with a rapper named JAG... Many years ago.)

@@nilespeshay1734 Valid question. He does have production credits and it can be verified that he worked out of studios where it was likely he worked on material but didn't get credited. This is common and is more of a reflection of his business sense at the time than the work he did. Offhand I know he did some production for G Unit. The degree he has ghost produced may never be truly known, but I have no reason to believe he is making it up. For guys in his position it was common and I am sure someone would have pulled his card by now .

Ahh gotcha. I'm actually happy to see him showing some of his beat making process which viewers will always want to learn from. But verifiable credits will always be in the air specially if you're doing content that is public. And as a creator, being open to let people verify your creditials. Hopefully he does see most questions as questions and not everyone will always formulate them the way he would like or expect to.

I agree. The sound was terrible. I was able to improve a few later afterwards but this one in particular was very much noticable

Younguns, DO NOT ever underestimate EA SKI. That man is Rap History writing/producing with and for WEST COAST legends. His knowledge is VAST. If you haven't noticed, he is the only one that has a Rossum EA SKI SP1200 in HIS NAME = $4000. Bring FACTS Only nephews.

I believe he used to have something call Sign or shelf it as a beat/music review. I'm not too sure if he still does it. But I would check his website to see if he has any coming up
