What I've Been Thinking Lately.... 

You are not alone, Corie. My 25 yr old son was in a very serious auto accident a month ago and is recovering. He has a lot of challenges right now, but I have given all my cares, worries, burdens, etc to God. I'm grateful he's alive but everything is in God's timing. You have a lot of wisdom!

This video was an immediate answer to prayer. I have an alcoholic son whom I haven't seen since Dec. I just received a letter from his job discussing towing his car. I have no idea what's going on and as much as I try to say I will not worry about him I can't seem to help it. He is 46. I shouldn't have to fret over his life but I do. My health is not good and stress makes it worse. I know this is Satan and I treasure the information you are sharing. I know my God has this. Thank you for reminding me again and please pray for me and mine ❤

Corie, you are such a blessing to me! Katie is also! I am a 77 year old that just had to get an emergency pacemaker. I had complete heart block and almost died. I am doing well now. I am humbled to the point that I am so grateful for everything! Hoping I never take anything for granted ever again! I pray the Lord continues to renew my mind daily! We serve an awesome God!!❤️

It's a beautiful thing to sit in awe of God's wonderful creation. If we could only communicate to everyone His grace, His love and mercy, all could realize we are never alone.

So grateful for my Lord and Savior. Without Him I'm nothing. When I remember to put my complete trust in Him and rest in that knowledge, then I'm so comforted. You are very young but very wise spiritually. As you mature spiritually, worry will be different...won't go away but be different. Just give it to God. He truly wants to carry our burdens. When I start to worry I try to think of these verses: Matthew 6:25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. My husband and I both had a similar conversation last night. As babies of the late sixties we got to grow up without the internet and cell phones. Life was so very different than it is now. We both are old souls and long to go back to those days. Our three children were born in the early nineties and so life was different for them even back then. We didn’t have internet in our home nor cell phones until they were in their early teens so they experienced a little bit of their early days without it too. I appreciate your wisdom. Keep holding on to God and trusting in him to see you through 😊

Wow Corrie I think I really needed to hear your insightful message. On August 1st I had my right knee replaced and while I just was feeling impatient to get back to normal you made me think how grateful I should be as they’re are folks who maybe had an amputation 😢. I’m right there with you Corie! A lot of what you say in this video is exactly how I feel. Watching this video makes me feel seen and understood. So thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. When I get caught up in those feelings I constantly remind myself “this too shall pass”… these feelings, this season, this worry, etc… I allow myself to feel it for a while but I try not to let myself sit in it too long. I’m so grateful that there are kind hearted God fearing women like you all on RU-vid! Corie, Katie, Tipper and Granny feel like dear friends with huge hearts. Corie, no matter how tired you are, you still have a wonderful glow about you. So does Katie. I attribute this to your wonderful heart and your wonderful life as a mom. I just got diagnosed with kidney cancer and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed myself. My dad and brother died from it. I'm getting close to 6 decades and have had a full life but it still stays in the back of my mind. Every time I get to feeling down, I look at RU-vid and either y'all or your mom have dropped a video. It's impossible to feel bad when I watch y'all. I have a request if it's not too much. I pray for all of you. I see Paul and Ms. Granny on the videos. Can you sometime show Steve and his family and Austin's family. I pray for them but having a picture helps my mind if that makes sense. Btw, spontaneous videos are wonderful and tend to help people because it's from your heart. Thanks for making my life better by bringing your messages to me. My favorite missionaries are you and Katie and another person I follow. If you don't realize you're a missionary, you spread God's message to everyone.

It's good visiting with you. I have been feeling the same way. I hate it. Yes, we can keep touch with others without having to get real personal, and deal with real life and all it's emotions . Some people just don't seem as close. We should be more caring, sociable, and personable. It's just so different than when I was a kid, and to think the kids growing up in this. I hate the videos about parents trying to take away a cellphone, and the tantrum they pitch. I'm just so thankful for this moments of reflections. The Bible says not to go by our feelings, cause they come and go ,and cause all kinds of emotions. I worry about if I'm as good a Christian as I should be, or read and pray enough. Worry about my kids, grandkids, and they are growing up, and moving on. What do I do now they don't need me as much. I have had cancer, and they got it at a very early stage, thank God, but I have my 5 year check up ,soon. Seems like there is more anger in people. I wish we all could help each other with love, care, compassion in our hearts. Lend a helping hand. So thankful Heaven will be such a wonderful place. Love ya'll so much. Wish we could see you also. Or live down the road as neighbors 😊, would be great. Thankful for you, and thankful this helps us also. You are doing great. I asked for prayer for my brother, Randy, but he passed. I thought, God why. I was praying and believing for a miracle. I've just been so down because of it. I thought maybe he don't listen to me. I know better, but it crossed my mind. I just miss him so much. His memorial will be September 14th. At least I know he was saved, so he did come home, just not this home. Thank you so much, Corie, this meant a lot to me. ❤

You are right on these things, most people do suffer with these thoughts. My problems are usually what you started with is loneliness, and I think most low profile pastors like myself who don’t love being the center of attention feel that way. As a lead at work and a pastor in all aspects of life, (because that’s not a job) I don’t confide my problems and thoughts with many people because I usually hear from people when they have a problem in their lives. Don’t get me wrong, I love being there for them but I’ve learned as a pastor most people think you don’t have problems and don’t care to hear them. I actually had someone need to talk to me a while back about some of these things you are talking about, he was depressed from comparing his life to others and what they post on social media. Nice relaxing time

Good things in sorrowful times. No you will not always have your son. You assume a lot, imagine walking into your son's room , his eyes are fixed staring at the ceiling, his hands palms down on either side of him, and YOU know. You reach down and touch his still cold hard body. You spent 36 years with this beautiful soul and it's over. Thirty six years not two months, yet I still believe. That is my miracle. You assume much about life, what you think you have. It is very easy at this time of your life Corie but be careful as you preach to the broken hearted, like you know everything. A test of fire can come to the proud especially as you know. You are kind but woefully unseasoned . Faith is easy when all is well, I pray you never find out. There are things in this world that can happen,you will never see the Good in. You will wait on God face to face, but as you preach your innocent sermons remember my son and see your own the same way. Ask if all you say is appropriate bc as a Christian I assure you, it feels very insensitive and very young on your part.

Corie, I didn’t get to watch your video yesterday cause I was not feeling well. I realized I had run aground two many directions and not enough inner fuel. Then it dawned on me. I had gone and got myself to overwhelmed for the things of God. I finally got to see your video and well there you are with the memo I didn’t get be still and take time to fill up the well of God , joy, self and gratitude. I know that I launched into a prayer request and with a very deep request are you. But I want to convey to you that I am very grateful you shared this because I have been trying to show gratitude towards but in my head I don't think I do enough showing of The gratitude, but I think that's where the big problem is in my head because the holy spirit is showing me I do have gratitude for what I've been given. And it's the enemy in my head or my flesh trying to convince me that I don't have gratitude 😊😊

You are so right about everything you are saying right now . I was thinking about some of the same things this morning. I do the same thing about filling a dish pan with water. I started doing that when I had my girls. It helped so much not have to do all the dirty pans when I am so full…what helped me was to make a note each morning what I had to get done and what I would like to do just for me…God understands us I am for river asking God to help me get things done.
