Glad you were able to get away with friends over the weekend, that's always good for the soul 💜 Im with you on the scent preferences changing! I know mine has changed and evolved as well, I still can't get on board with most fruity scents lol. Lips of an Angel, I've never seen that one, sounds lovely!! Great warming week!
Hey Martha! My nose has definitely evolved because I’ve been enjoying lots of laundry, fresh and tree scents but bakery still has my heart. Also I write where I warmed and the hours on the label!
You are so organized writing hours and place on the label. I should start that too because my memory is not what it once was. I love that you are enjoying more tree scents...I love them.
Hi Martha, my weekends have been filled by mountain biking tournaments with my son. Girls weekends are so fun, hope you have so much fun. 🤩 I get great performance as well from Second and Spruce and Knowles Farm Scents. Thankful sounds right up my alley. 😊 I think it’s funny how our noses change over time. Beginning of September I am give me all the apple scents and by the end of September I am done with apple. 🍎 Dang lips of an angel sounds amazing. 😮 Great empties. 😊
I have so much pumpkin scents that I hope I don't get too sick of them or else I will still be working on them next Fall. I do like to change up my scents so it's not all bakery, or all apple, etc to give myself a break and not tire of it too fast. Mountain Bike tournaments sound fun!
Happy Monday, Martha! Great warming! You’re making a dent in your stash 🥳 Hope you had a fantastic girls visit because you need to feed your soul some joy 🫶🏻🤘🏻🍻
For me it was the opposite. We had some nice, cool mornings and evenings last week and now we are back into Summer weather. Typically it's not until mid October when we start to see it feel more like Fall. I can't wait
I loved hearing your thoughts on Cozy Kitchen. It didn’t perform well for me when I originally got it but with some time it’s now a fave. I don’t get the spice from it. I just get cozy bakery. My nose is loving the atmospheric scents these days too!
Yay for atmospheric scents. I wonder if wax is like fashion and there are trends because I feel I'm seeing more atmospheric scents or maybe I'm just noticing them more.
My nose has changed too since I had another baby! Or maybe I'm just bored of bakery but I'm so interested in woodsy, perfumey, fresher scents nowadays as well and even picking wildcards in every order. I find myself not buying heavy bakery scents because I have so much and ended up giving so much of it away to friends. Thank you for posting!
When I first started melting wax years ago I was all about the summer fruity scents and I liked laundry too. Now I hate laundry and I still like fruity but they aren't my favorite and I can be picky about certain fruits. I used to hate woody, outdoor scents, now I love them! 😂 I also prefer fall and winter scents over spring and summer. Its so crazy how our preferences can change. I love bakery, but I can see were u are coming from because I need a break too and I don't like to melt bakery 2 days in a row. Lately I've been leaning more fresh and outdoorsy scents. Maybe its just the weather though, because I've really been enjoying the nice cozy scents.
Yes, last year summer I was all into tropical fruity scents and now I'm not interested in pineapple and tropical scents. I can't wait to get consistent Fall weather because I love melting those cozy scents on cooler nights
It was a good melting week girl! I can't believe that we may see some more SGA ... maybe January?! That would be awesome. I am with you when it comes to the Scentsy Frosted Cinnamon Rolls. It just wasn't a love and I removed it from my Club.
@@Martha_FragranceCorner I hear you! I’m allowing myself the fall and winter scents because I don’t have alot but I’m banned from summer scents. Until like 2027. 🤣
@@Martha_FragranceCorner I watched it, it was a great video and a great haul. I got Spellbound as well such a beautiful scent. I also got - Hollow Inside, Fall Leaves,Trick and Treats I LOVE THEM ALL - Everything is just TOP NOTCH from Knowles in my opinion.
Great empties! I definitely go through spells with all scents. Years ago I would feel like I have to keep scents in as long they survived. But not now. I will change a scent because my mood shifts 😂 I don’t like cozy kitchen. It’s not spicey to me but it smells like oatmeal… which I enjoy but I make it often in the morning and I don’t want to smell it in wax. Good scent just not for me. 😂
Cozy Kitchen was not what I imagined it would be on warm. I'm becoming much more of a mood melting in the sense that if I'm not vibing with it I will take it out and not feel bad. I'll mark it in my spreadsheet as one not to repurchase in the future. It's great information to know as I try new to me scents
Pure bakery scents are scents I can only do occasionally and mostly in the fall and winter - they make me too hungry 😂 I melted Blueberry Cheesecake and Pumpkin Gingersnaps from Rose Girls a couple of weeks ago. My husband came downstairs and was so sad I didn’t bake blueberry muffins because it smelled so appetizing. I can’t blame him!
I got that same acetone scent you're talking about except the bar I experienced that with was blackberry meringue from bbmb. Not sure what that was about, my other bars were great. I'm gonna have to melt white peach and cranberry and see if I get it from that also.
I can only melt gourmand and bakery scents in short doses. I usually melt them for one to three hours. If I melt longer it can feel a bit cloying and the air can start to feel thick and heavy to me. I think that’s because I’ve always loved fresh, outdoorsy, atmospheric scents the most and it has been only in the last few years that I started melting bakery. That’s one reason I like Yankee’s Scenterpiece system, because the cups can be melted for just short times and they don’t loose anything by melting in a start-stop way. Scent preferences definitely tend to evolve.
I didn't know that about the Scenterpiece system. I have noticed many scents don't do as well if I start-stop-start them. I'm finding I'm becoming the same way with bakery. Similar to coffee I can only do them for half a day or less. It starts to get to be too much
I change my wax every day first thing in the morning. Sometimes by lasts afternoon or after dinner I want to smell something different. At that point I either shut off my warmers and light a candle. Or I shut off some of my warmers and put something else in another warmer or I just change the wax. I feel I have enough wax to be able to change it twice a day on the days that I feel like it
I have so much wax that I don't mind changing my wax twice and sometimes 3 times a day. Just like you I want to smell something different each day, unless it's so amazing or I'm too busy to change switch out my wax
I feel the same way about bakery, I used to want it all day everyday and super strong. Now I have to do lighter bakery scents or else they’re just too much for me to do all day. I’m leaning more towards fresh and perfumey type home fragrance these days.
When I started melting in 2016, I was a total freshie and hated bakery. Now, I rarely melt those laundry, fresh type of scents and I love melting bakery, fruity, etc.
After I had my son 3 years ago, my nose evolved so much. I can hardly stomach super sweet scents and now I gravitate towards perfume, clean, fresh, woody, lavender types of blends
Am going through the same with my bakery scents, am thinking it's time to melt some fresh scents for a change. However, I also think I may be getting burned out with melting wax. Have spent $$ on wax and warmers, then having to clean out all my warmer dishes 3 x's a day. Am happy to start my no buy till the last pre-orders for 2025.
I have gone back and forth on no buys as well. I don't think I could do a whole year but I commend you for giving it a try. I have had periods where I wonder if I will get tired of wax because somedays I'm just not in the mood to melt or I have several days where I'm not loving it as much.
