I’ve been looking at home schooling because school really stresses me out. On like days where I’m really bad mental health wise, it’s so so hard to get to school and let alone complete the day, and when I take a day off I get like screamed at by my head teacher for it. Thank you so much for this and I’ve just come across your channel too! My mum might get a job where she can work afew Days at home and I’m really scared to ask so I might bring it up to my therapist and see what advice they give. Sorry I was rambling oops
homeschool is a good idea, i used to do it. i think next year i'm doing online because like you, school is really bad for my mental health and gives me anxiety. i'm going to try doing a day at public school once a week so i can stay in touch with my friends more, but i'm not sure yet.

It’s really not that hard I do k12 and I usually wake up at 8 and there’s always live sessions at that time so when I finish you can take a break most of tha stuff is due at like 12 am so you have a lot of time
Same, and I hate the fact that some teachers don’t give a fuck abt the schedule and give us work whatever day they want weather we have that class or not. I make it a point to not do the work if we don’t have class on certain days, like can u get ur fucking piece of paper w the schedule on it and read instead of giving us work right away. I swear we’re goons OD on fucking WORKKKKKK!!!!!

Same I'm starting in a month and I'm excited to be able to fully concentrate on my work instead of what others might be thinking of me (even when they're definitely not lol) and that I'm not liked that much, stuff like that. I can be happier, I'm so happy.

hi of course! i started in October of 2017 and had to start 9th grade over again. i was stressed at first because i thought i wouldn't be able to finish 9th grade in time, (june) but i ended up getting ahead and finishing in march of 2018!! if you schedule your days out and really devote your time to it you can definitely get ahead like i did
I think I actually need online school i feel like i dont have a life because im constantly stressed and have anxiety about highschool im just stressing my life away

i’m so glad I found your comment. I’m in 8th grade and because of my horrible anxiety i’m gonna be switching to flvs. It makes me so happy to know that i’m gonna be making a good switch. My sisters who used to do just 1 flvs class said it was hard but I like the challenge of it

this video was posted 3 years ago but i wanna comment about online school . im going into 12th grade and online never crossed my mind until my mom passing. trust me I’ve always been the kid to be scared before going into school, making excuses for wanting to stay home, always missing, having bad anxiety and so much worse. but i was always pushed to struggle through and put up with it because my parents. but this last year i just wanna do online. i wanna try it out and see if i take a liking onto it. thinking about school already enough makes me wanna cry for the anxiety so i hope this could be a good fit and i personally feel like i can do it
@@l0vsrat yes i did! I’ve started online since september of last year. it’s been good you can do it at your own pace but the only downside is you can get behind quickly. i only have 3 more months of online and i done graduated!
Due to Coronavirus my school district had us all doing online classes. I quickly took a liking to having the comfort of my own room to myself while doing my work, and managed to finish the school year with straight A’s. I seriously excelled in the amount of time that my school had me doing online classes, and am currently trying to persuade my Aunt to let me do it. There’s also the fact that my mental health is in a seriously dangerous state at the moment.. I genuinely don’t care if I miss high school as long as I get good grades and live my life comfortably as I am :)

ok so im like in a situation where there is just school drama and it has me really stressed and it’s getting harder to keep my grades up but i’m doing my best. it has me really stressed and i have gotten anxiety and even get depressed many times from this. i really don’t know what to do anymore and i feel like doing online school cause i think it will be the best and be easier for me. Hi! I understand how you feel, that's how I felt for a while there too. online school is right for a lot of people and theres no harm in trying! I suggest sitting down with you parents and talking about it and seeing what they think. best of luck, keep me updated
So I had to begin online school because of the coronavirus and it was a total culture shock for me. I had to be like you said, very self-disciplined. I could very easily just open another tab on my laptop and start watching RU-vid or Netflix during the time I should have been doing school, but I had to force myself to keep on. At this moment I am still very new to doing online school and I was looking for tips to get through it and you've helped me so much. You seem like an extremely genuine and kind person and I could totally see us being friends!! Thank you sm :)

I have been doing online schooling for the past two years. The first year was difficult and i flaked out a lot. Now, I'm being more focused and motivated to complete classes [: I'm glad I'm not the only one who wakes up early to get it done! I usually wake up at around 6 a.m. as well, and get started with homework by 8, so i can be done by 1.
Since corona i had to do online school, but our schools opened back up this year and i loved online so much i’m going to continue it! it helps with my health problems and anxiety and i still can be social in other ways! i really want to start a youtube channel i just don’t know where or how to start

i started online school today i actually enjoyed i gotta say is just take down notes and finish your tasks and have them notes ready for quizzes or tests it really comes in dandy if u don't know something u can always use google ask ur parent or call the teach for me its very simple I'm enjoying it btw ur tips are really helpful i appreciate this video
I’m in fifth grade going into sixth. My whole fifth grade year I was at a new school. I’m so scared to go to middle school especially since I don’t have any really close friends! The end of this week (when school ends for me) I’m going to give my mom a huge pros and cons list and how we can overcome the cons or something (inspired by you!) She really wants me to have more social time since I’m super SUPER shy and a total introvert. I really hope she agrees. This week I’ll try my hardest to do good and get school done with for the year! I KNOW I’m going to cry and embarrass myself when I step foot in middle school. I’ve had a lot of problems with school in the past. When I was in 1st grade I had a thing called PANDAS. In rare cases it can make you see things that aren’t there. For me I really missed my mom and I couldn’t get far away from her. I had to go to several counselors and just couldn’t go to school. I’m not like that anyone but some of it stuck with me a bit. (Even though me and my mom don’t really get along 🤔) I just can’t imagine going into middle school and not having an panic attack. Let’s just hope she says yes!..😰
yes!! theres no set time you have to be up, unless you have live lessons. i personally like to wake up early and get it done in the morning to have the rest of the day free but it's all in your hands!!

I do online school cuz of COVID, but it’s really hard. I get assignments meant for in person learning like labs and big projects and it’s super hard. I want to move to an actual homeschooling program, but my mom doesn’t think there’s a difference which I know there is. I did some research about homeschooling in my state, and the requirements/credits are so much better for homeschooling then public schools. I keep reading comments how they’re all in online school cuz of COVID too but do y’all think homeschooling would be better? Like a program for actual at home work.

kiki miller hey girlie! I heard you were seeing about online school. I am in online school because of my horrible mental health and mental disorders. I am also in it because I can’t concentrate with other students/in a classroom. So, what I think you should do it sit down with your parents and talk to them about it. I made a pros and cons list for you: . . Pros: you will never be late to class, you will never have sick days, you will not have to worry about not getting enough sleep, you can go to the bathroom anytime, you can eat lunch anytime. Cons: you have to be determined. You have to motivate and keep yourself on track. I hope everything goes well, if you have any questions please reply with them and I will answer them the best I can. Remember, don’t be too pushy with your parents.

I do coap (Colorado’s prep academy) and we have chat room with the teachers and student for us to socialize and a lot of the student you will message you and meet up and all that along with extra activities like for me I do ice skating a competive cheer☺️
I’m barely starting in k12 and the people said there were like field trips but in class connects there’s a chat that u can talk to other students and also a mic if the teacher lets u use it and I’m gonna do gymnastics so I don’t think it will be hard to make friends
I’d say my ideal routine would be get up at 8:30 AM I would make my morning free so I could do stuff and then at 1 PM I’d do the school work and then I have the evening and night to myself to do whatever I want
I just finished my first online college class and my second one finishes in a week. I started out taking textbook notes but quickly realized that that wasn't helping me at all because I was jamming so much into my notes and so much effort and energy into finishing two chapters of notes every single week. I realize that if I just read the textbook and knew the terms and did the work accordingly my test scores would be a lot higher than they were when I was taking notes. For me the biggest thing was to realize that reading takes a whole lot more time when you have no time in class to do it so I had to learn how to pace myself and keep on track with the dense readings

I’ve been in public school my whole life but for the past 2 years I’ve been wanting to go to cyber school and since I’m going in to 10th grade my mom finally agreed and said yes !! But I’m still confuses if this is what I want to do because I’m really scared of failing with me procrastinating
I personally believe that I am very lucky since I don’t have online classes with my teacher but I do have assignments on Google classroom that I have to complete for my advanced reading class and I feel very privileged to be able to space all those assignments out when I can and just have to turn it in on time

okay!! so, i went to a school that i absolutely loved 9th thru 10th grade, my teachers were great and i got a 4.0 my sophomore year, was on the dance team, had friends and started dating my best friendd! but then i ended up moving across the country to a new school system, and i knew i wasnt used to it and trying it out, i realized it wasnt possible for me to do well in this kind of school, and work my part time job, volunteer and earn college credits and dance at the same time! so i decided to switch to online school!

Came across your channel & i love your videos so far regarding online school. Im 25 & live in Brooklyn, Ny. James madison h.s is not very far from me, & i started doing my research on it. And i am more than convinced that going back to school (online) is the best option for me. Looking at your videos has given me that boost to enroll in online school. Can you make a video though about how the online school system is? Is it hard? I am a very slow learner in subjest like math & science. One of the reasons why i actually decided not to continue was bc i couldnt pass my Science regents. So it would be really helpful if you can let us know how hard it can get. Too many teachers are absent at my school and in my brothers year someone had coronavirus so they have to self isolate and I have a pre recorded lesson, and the lesson after idk if it’s live, and the last one is live and this is the worst possible thing to happen for me because I have social anxiety and that basically means I’m scared of being embarrassed about social activity’s and I can’t really talk to strangers UGH it’s so hard😔

my parents are not cooperating with me when i ask them to do online school. i have written a list with 20 good things about online school, i have also written out a pros and cons list but they are still not convinced online school is a good option because they dont work from home.
