Hey ! I hope you’re doing great. I know this might /might not relate to the video but as someone who is interested in pursuing a law degree but gets discouraged (due to the homework and the feeling that I won’t understand the material) what would you advise? Hi!! I know that it seems really daunting because everyone says law school is really hard but trust me when I say nobody "understands" the material when they first start law school. It's a universal experience and as long as you are dedicated and truly do your best, you will be okay! Remember that everyone starts at the same spot, and nobody is perfect on their first try. My advice would be to take it one day at a time and don't count yourself out, you are just as capable as other people, it just takes a lot of effort and time. Also, getting accepted into law school is a signal that the admissions people see that you are capable of graduating and passing the bar. That doesn't mean that you need anyone's approval and I'm not sure if you have applied yet, but its just something to keep in mind for encouragement!
I'm really introverted so it takes a lot out of me to approach people and network, but I never regret it when I do it. I have to give myself a mini pep talk before every networking event lol. Also, you can take it at your own pace, all it takes is 1 person that you really hit it off with and maintain the relationship to change the trajectory of your career.
