I really liked hearing the thought process, but I miss the old what I wore. I loved the music and the fast pace. I agree with other comments that this format could be another series because I really liked it!
Hi Beth! You’ve given me so much fashion inspiration throughout the years and what I wore is my all time FAV series of yours! However, I personally like the old method of it better. By Wednesday I couldn’t even remember what outfits you had put together on the previous days because we saw you try on and experiment with so many other pieces that it was hard to remember the final result. Also, I think we can all agree we wanna see what Beth wears a week straight including weekends cause we’re more than likely to catch you in one of your fun party/dinner outfits 😭❤️ ultimately, I think the old version didn’t need any tweaking. If it ain’t broke, no need to fix it 🤷🏻♀️
I started out a lil nervous but I LOVE this! It makes your styling seem SO much more approachable for me -- your styling is so perfect and always seems like it comes to you in a *snap* so I like seeing you deliberate on your choices! One thing I think I'd like to see, though, a la Styling on the Fly, I'd love to see your closet behind you! I know you've got curtains up, now, but it's always fun to see you zip around it picking out pieces. Can't wait to see this series going forward!
I really love the old format of what I wore but I feel this format could work really well for it's own kind of series? Kind of like how Man Repeller does the outfit anatomy series sometimes, just a thought! But truthfully I'm sure we all watch for you and your style inspiration so regardless of how you film these videos, I'm happy to watch!
For what it’s worth..this might be more educational And serious but the original “Always” Put a smile on my face and couldn’t wait for it to come out. Between the music and format...pure joy! Never got old! I have seen quite a few you tubers appear to copy your original format of this series but you’ll always be known as the original creator of it! Love you
Hearing your deliberative process is so brilliant. I feel not only inspired by your style, but you've wonderfully modeled the method of finding it. Thanks, Beth!
Thank you for talking about your thoughts in choosing your clothing pieces each day! LOVED this!!!! And your cream colored cardigan twisted around and buttoned behind you was awesome!!!!! Have a great weekend Beth!
I love the original what I wore so much. My fave video from you. So fun and whimsical. I feel like this is two videos. Maybe think about doing a monthly video on picking a trend and taking us through the process. As always you are fab and I love you
Hey Beth! I love the new idea. This is the way most of us dress. You get an idea or a piece you want to wear. Then you try different things to see what suits you and looks good. This is great fun. Love the video!
Love this version of what I wore! It’s nice to know your thought process and comforting too, cos I’ll change out my outfit multiple times while getting dressed even though my wardrobe is teeny tiny compared to yours. Thanks Beth 💚
I am glad to see "What I Wore" and how you made your decisions in putting each outfit together. The cow jacket would look great with white (heavy cotton knit), high waist elastic waist and elastic cuff. I liked the brown leather look jacket better with the checked pants and plaid vest than the checked coat.
Beth your What I Wore videos are my absolute fav!! I agree with some other comments about missing the cute little dance and music! That made it super fun. I also loved seeing your thought process and seeing different pieces together because your styling brain constantly amazes me! I’m sure you like switching things up every once in a while ❤️
I love the new concept of what I wore. I think it's great to get a 'behind the scenes' plus there is just so much inspiration for outfits, colours, cuts ugh! Great job
Love the new format! It's so cool to hear how you think through each choice along the way. The Tuesday and Friday outfits were my favorites, I was not expecting those corduroys to work together but I shouldn't have doubted! And now I want to style my own English garden lady look, it's soooooo good.
Yes Beth rockin the new format, your grey check outfit was an absolute fave, loving the adventures you take me on cheers from Bunbury western Australia 😃
Yay! Seeing your new videos in my feed makes me happy. I notice that I was missing the old style of What I Wore video at first...but I'm often a little resistant to change. I also quite like seeing your thought process around what you choose, bringing us into the process, and think this new way will grow on me quickly! Thank you for all that you do and for bringing joy into dressing and into the world.
LOVED Wednesday....that sweater look/idea is awesome !!! I would never mix all the colors and prints like you do, but YOU can and you always look great !!
i've always wished you talked more about how you choose the pieces you end up with, and what gets rejected instead of just seeing the final outfit! love this switch up
This was such a fun way to do your weekly outfits. I felt like I was a part of the choice process. I was actually talking as if you could hear me. Lol!! Thank you for sharing 😊
I just found you a week ago and have watched most, if not all of your videos. You are the daughter I never had 😀. I have always played dress up and thrifting since the 80’s. My problem now is that 1’m 60lb heavier post menopause and no longer able to shop vintage. You inspired me to check the men’s section and got an amazing Alfani black blazer for $2. I’m pretty handy with a sewing machine so I’m converting some men’s pleated trousers into high waisted cropped ones. I’m lucky to be in a job that allows me to still dress creatively but a few restrictions. No heavy distressed denim, shorts (Bermuda’s ok), tanks or sleeveless tops and no open toe shoes. Also being post menopause I’m permanently warm so layers can be an issue. They have to all be light and I used to live in turtlenecks but most now make me too warm. Still I’ve been inspired by all of your combinations and I’m able to work them to compliment my body shape. I’ve had more compliments this week. Keep the videos coming!!! Lots of love from a Lesley near Seattle
I dp like the new format, and the background thought process. Thanks for my new lease on life in my sixties playing dressup! As a child, I used to dream about closets of clothes, frilly petticoats, shoes, hats, and purses. But I lost that enthusiasm somewhere along the line of not fitting in and being teased and bullied about my hand-me-down clothes. Your #alwaysplaydressup and thrifting have literally changed my life.
The meaning of your necklace means a lot to me my mom has been diagnosed with dementia that will go into alzheimer's, I'm single she is all I have and I'm so scared😭😭😭😭excellent video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love all of your poppy, unique pieces but I especially adore your basics because I am a person who tends to buy crazy pieces at the thrift store and NEVER have any basics or solids. I was sparked by that amazing amber/sienna crop top/long line bralette.
I do LOVE that you are ALWAYS evolving yourself and thinking of new ways to work with styling and SHARE it all...there is no doubt you are talented, however, if it ain't broke- don't fix it, dare I say? I feel like what makes the "What I Wore Series" something fun and what I look forward to is your silly dances, the fast pace, and the music...I think I remember learning somewhere in my advertising studies that people are a lot smarter than we give credit for, so while some may like the play by play, most like seeing the jump to the final look- not many people have a lot of time to watch 25 minute long videos.. so this may not be on my weekly to-watch-list if this is the new format...I lost interest after day one...Maybe add a mood board along the sidebar of what the theme you had in mind was or a snap shot of items you are picking from in a pile on bed...Thanks for always being so transparent and approachable!
I read some comments and I think I do agree that I’m missing the drama, the music, the 🎶duh nuh! Duh duh duh nuh dun nuh 🎶 of it all!!! But I love this too!!! It’s fun to see your thought process so I’m torn. Maybe a different series like others suggested, we just want you 24/7 mama!!! Anything you do will be fabulous! Xo
Beth, I just got home from work and have been waiting all day to watch. I knew you had dropped a new video, as I sneaked on to youtube during my workday.:). I am so inspired by your videos and look forward to my weekly fix. I LOVED all of the 5 days, however, Thursday and Friday were my favorites. I loved hearing your thought process. You are an artist, and the way you pair things is mind-boggling, who would ever think to pair orange and red? You are a fashion inspiration, Beth. Thank You!
Have not seen such a fun and fashionable (as in pushing the limits, being more unique) What I Wore video in a while! Love all the looks, but the Tuesday green-blue palette and Wednesday wrap cardigan situation stole my heart 😍 (Bonus points for the amazing print mixing on Thursday and eclectic concept on Friday.) Cannot wait for next month's video, Beth. Appreciate the commentary and thought process - so many more options for future inspo!
I really liked seeing the process. Lots of times the ideas that you didn't go with were ones that I really liked , so it showed a range of looks - really cool!!
Loved it! I love to play dress up! I remember as a little girl playing..but desperately wanting pretty clothes! My mom is very conservative modest a plain jane type not very much into clothes .. Composites! Ugh lol..so i felt so jipped hehehe..later tho i was raised more by my step mom! She was younger and hadxa great style! She dressed me as a ypung girl.bought my clothes ..they were soo soo pretty! I love creating an outfit! Ivecshopped on Rodeo drive! And i shop now at the thrift stores! I enjoy so much! Its so fun! Feels good to look pretty and i have fun when i find cool different clothes! I dont really have a style! I love all styles..well most cuz you can turn them into anything you'd like! Lol people mostly compliment me on how i dress..but some think im a bit goofy! Lol i love it! I enjoy ur channel cery much! Thx..😃💗🌼🌞
Hi Beth, I love your style but here were I live no one that I see dresses like this. So I have learned to take one item that is "different" and add it to what everyone else is wearing. It helps me to feel special. I get to stand out but not looks so out of place. I guess a little at a time. Someday I will feel more comfortable branching out but for now this is me having fun. You are beautiful and tall. I am short and some of these looks don't look good on me. Some make me look short and dumpy. Can you do a video for those of us who are vertically challenged. Showing us how we can make this years styles work for us. Thank you God bless
Beth, I don’t know how I missed this video of yours! I really enjoyed how you put this video because that’s exactly what I do when I’m trying to put my outfits together!❤❤Judy❤❤
I like both formats for "What I Wore". To be honest, this was a little validating for me as my closet ends up a mess just putting one outfit together, lol! It's nice to see that you too grab more than one jacket to try out and that you change your mind on a piece because it didn't look like what you pictured. Also, I love jewel tones with camel. It's such a lovely contrast.
I love how you show that you can be inspired with a look without copying it with same exact pieces...that would help a lot of people that feel the need to buy new things just to get that trendy look and get bunch of new stuff every time some new trend emerges =) this is way more creative anyway =)
Friday outfit looks like it inspired by Paddington Bear. I do like the new way of doing your OOTW, I like hearing your thought process and why you prefer different pieces for styling but I also like the fast pace of your previous videos. My favorite style in this video is the hound tooth look. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come. Happy and Bless New Year
Hi, want to start by saying I love the concept behind your sponsor. I think that’s great for a jewelry company to be so conscientious. It matters that everyone do their part. Love how you have switched things up a bit, but as always your videos are great! Love, love that chunky , cream cardigan!
I just can't get over how awesome is that 70's square vest and pants look *.* If i saw someone wearing that in the street I would have to stop them and ask to take a picture
I absolutely loved this new format! Great to see the things you reject and why - very relateable! Also the editing on this was super snappy and must have taken ages - great job :D
I wasn't home yesterday, but was able to catch your video on someone else computer. Totally prepared to hate to not like this video because of the format change."What I Wore" is one of my favorite things that you do. However, I have to say I was so surprised at how much I liked it. It actually is more helpful for you to do it this way as it made me understand the" process" better and also reminded me that you don't come up with everything automatically. Perhaps if I have patience and try on different things the way that you do, I too can come up with some great looks too. This afternoon I was getting ready and took out many things before settling on what I wanted to wear and I think i looked great. Thanks for the help and the inspiration.
I like the new format a lot Beth! So fun to see your thought process while building every outfit. One question I always find myself having, in both the old format and now the new one, is: what are you dressing for? I know one day you said it was an at-home day, but for the other days you never said what you had on tap, i.e. meetings, shooting, life admin, etc. Not trying to be intrusive, I just would love to know the context for the choices you are making, if that's possible. Hope that makes sense!
I always love you Beth and I can totally appreciate the format of this video, but I think the old format is a little more fun and exciting. I say this ONLY because I have been doing something like this similar on my channel, AND even more so in the last two weeks and my viewers just aren't into it. Like not at all. LOL! Personally, I love to talk about the styling process in detail and the whole creative process, but I often wonder if it's just too slow paced? Anyways, I think you are fab and you have inspired me very much in my own journey with thrifting. I will always watch you because you are fun to watch no matter what!
