I love black and white work personally. I'm actually in the process of buying a dream black and white piece in the moment. However, I understand the overall market is catered to color.
Do you think the pricing is mainly correlated with size? I’m asking this because I was insecure about the size of my drawings and that was part of the hold up in selling my work last year. Some of my best drawings were done on 8.5x11 or 9x12. I was sourcing ways to blow up my work and keep the quality. I’m wondering if that’s something I need to do in order to charge what I would want to. I’m thinking I just make a few larger pieces and get sales going with those, build more notoriety and then I wouldn’t feel as insecure in charging higher prices for my smaller drawings. Of course, also offering embellished prints to stretch out the revenue potential from them as well.
Hey, Definitely! The internet gives us the opportunity to reach people all over the world. As long as you're able to ship your artwork, you can sell it.
@@JaroidHenry Thanks man, I still have to work on my "inner self", though I have been into art since I was.... 7 or even 5, but still I AM QUESTIONING MYSELF IF I AM REALLY GIFTED (by God) to be an artist. And the second 'monster' I have to face is... "is there really a market/money in art" I am a family man... With 5 kids. One more doubt I have is... DO I JUST LOVE TO SEE ART, BUT ACTUALLY I AM JUST LUCKY THAT I CAN DO IT TOO...
I always enjoy your insightful videos, but I also struggle with hearing you and have to turn the volume on my laptop all the way up. Is it possible to turn the volume up on your mic? Your voice is nice, but I think the issue is that you speak with a low monotone voice, which makes it hard to hear you. Thanks.
