Since it's shown in canon that some of Leomon's data and conscious still remain in Jeri's D-Arc, I could see something like Rheamon happening if Tamers ever got a sequel
Got to say, each of the custom Biomerge forms look nice, but Nephthysmon is my favorite, not just for the design but the possible lore. Nephthysmon could've possibly been the previous guardian of the Dark Area's gate, before being replaced by Anubismon, either to pass the torch or because she travels into the Dark Area to seek out Plutomon, another god like digimon tied to death.
FINALLY someone asking all the real questions! I felt like Biomerge was probably the COOLEST gimic of the Digimon series. Sakuyamon made such an impact on me that i wonder about all the others😭😭😭
Literally just saw your comment after I wrote mine and I’ve been saying the exact same thing for yeaaaaaars! Sakuyamon is literally one of my favourite Digimon ever! Such a beautiful visual design and the first time that Rika and Renamon biomerge in the english version with THAT music, I get goosebumps. It’s BEAUTIFUL!!!
Honestly, I can easily see Type: Leo and Rheamon fitting in with a rebooted Tamer's season. Extend the final conflict with the D-reaper a bit more, so a bigger gap between the rescue of Jeri and the Final Battle. After the Heroes all Biomerge, the D-Reaper uses what it has, Jeri as a base, her digivice's memory bank data of leomon combined with the data it drained from Beelzemon in between him using Fist of the Lion King and before getting the Blast Mode power up to replace that boost. An episode or two of fighting Type: Leo before defeating it (Likely with a combination of Sakuyamon and Gallantmon's attacks to purify it, rescuing not only Jeri, but also resulting in a digi-egg from the data, something very uncommon for the series. Either it spawns right away, or they find it next episode similar to how the Arc survived and was discovered. It gives Jeri a nice emotional reunion with leomon, and a solid conclusion to her emotional dependance arc, not NEEDING leomon for strength, but seeking him to share her strength with him, resulting in Rheamon for the final battle.
Leomon’s data is still inside of Beelzemon, so the only way this scenario works is if Beelzemon dies during the conflict and finally atones for his sins.
@@LadyLeomon I brushed over it, but in this case, we can just assume the D-Reaper agents drained it from Beelzemon during an earlier battle, reducing his overall power in the process. One of those 'oh no! They caught him!' moments in a battle and it was part of the data drained before he was broken free.
Clearly, I could totally imagine Biomerge Type:Leo being the "ultimate" antagonist of Tamers, with Takato trying to rescue Jeri while still just Gallantmon, and the D-Reaper uses Type:Leo to stop him. Then, Takato's feelings for Jeri and Grani's sacrifice make him transform into Crimsom Mode, and he confronts the D-Reaper who is using the dead partner of his friend, and after a tough fight, he finally purifies it, releasing Leomon's soul once and for all and allowing it to finally rest
Definitely an underrated Digivolution concept the true melding of the Bond between Digimon and Tamer to actually fight together not just be on the side lines

I might be reading into things a bit much but I love the whole duality theme Jestramon has with the Devil and Angel wings. The parallel between Dark and Light (Impmon's journey from villain to hero), male and female (Ai and Mako) that makes up the "Triomerge". I can see Jestramon being a side-evolution of Lucemon Chaos mode which he uses to go incognito.
I can see Kenta's fusion not necessarily being 'stronger', but just more combat capable. MarineAngemon is not only tiny, but lacks a lot of conventional offensive capabilities, being more supportive and suppression based, and then it's size. Ningyomon could just be a form more able to directly contribute to the fight.
Fun fact in a fanfiction I don't remember the name of which was about the rest of the teamers biomerging with their partners. Kenta doctor and marine angemon I can't help but imagine kenta as a grown up in doctor scrubs with angel wings and a giant scalpel for a staff
@@kou7191 I find it amusing that they only kept it always in its mega form because its previous evolutions are Whamon and Dolphmon, which would have been really awkward to travel with. Still a shame we never saw Kazu digivolve his Guadromon when he was even introduced as a tough Andromon...
I always love these custom art digivolutions and out of these Suzy is the most surprising. Who knew that the little girl would end up as the insightful and wise member of the group.
After seeing Jeri's Dark-merge tyen her good I can legitimately see the Tamers fighting the Type-Leo, trying to get through to Jeri inside who's still scared and shaken yet in the midst of it Leomon's spirit is roused from the data remnants and she and him merge breaking out of the twisted monstrosity. But, and still sadly, after the merge Leomon does not reappear but instead we get a tearful Jeri clutching a Digi-egg posdibly thanking Leomon for saving her one last time.
I wonder if in the terms of the Digital World, Spirit Evolution is essentially just a separated ancient version of Bio-merging. They both take a Digimon and fuse it with a human, both (at least for the humanoid spirits) creating a type armoured human. The power difference could also be explained by one, the "living" data of biomerge vs the ancient dormant power of the spirits. Secondly, with the Tamers Rookies being newer Digimon, they could have greater power/potential.

I think they said in an interview a few years ago that Biomerging in Tamers was why they went with the gimmick in Frontier but at first it was going to be Digimon not Spirits which was even closer. It's when Agnimon looked more like a lion (I think wikimon or the digimon twitter has concept art somewhere)
My goodness, Tamers once again prove the impossibility of picking favorites when it comes to new ideas for digivolution! Makes me love the fact that it was the season I jumped onto Digimon even more than before!
Biomerge is still IMO the most hype digivolution. I remember standing up and doing the motion as a kid. Z-Crystals in Pokemon Sun and Moon anime is doing the same with my kids and I freaking love it haha
Facts! To me it was on the same level when Goku went Super Saiyan the first time Seriously blew my mind when all of them Biomerged especially Sakuyamons sequence hers stood out the most to me
I think I would’ve gone in more of a “fighting plushie” kind of look for Suzy’s bio merge, due to her obsession with Terriermon when she believes he’s a stuffed animal, and I lowkey wish there had been a way to reference Jeri’s hand puppet in Rheamon’s design, but overall these are all pretty great, with Impmon and Kenya’s being notable standouts. And does the statement at the front of the video mean we’re gonna do Burst modes for all the other Savers Mons?
We def considered that but felt it came too close to Cherubimon haha I think that's why SG did Biomerge Type:Leo to get that hand puppet in there somewhere haha Maaaaaaaaybe 👀
There’s one idea that would make sense for a few reasons. She could form a lion head cannon on her right hand/claw to both reference the puppet, and as a counterpoint to Beezlemon’s burst mode cannon
Jestramon was my favorite one by far, the artist not only made it look incredible with the amount of intricate detail and thoughtfulness that went into the design, THEY ALSO MADE IT LOOK LIKE AN OFFICIAL DIGIMON!!!!
They failed with digimon tamers cause they could have did better adding and making sure every tamer contributed in any way as possible with there partners they was wrong on how they did jeri period

I think Biomerge Type: Leo is really cool and even has some precedence in canon. Like you said, it fits the themes of Tamers, but it's also reminiscent of Death X evolution to me. I don't know why, it just connects to me.
Dude, you guys consistently make some of the best digimon designs I've seen in your custom videos, and they're not even canon digimon. You and the artists you work with really are phenomenal at your jobs, thank you for sharing these creations.
I really liked that not everyone digivolved to mega, but everyone who had a partner from the beginning did at least. It made the fact that the others still fought off d-reaper agency come off more of a you can still have a part kind of story.

I loved biomerge digivolution as a kid, such a cool idea to merge with your Digimon. I liked frontier too but it felt more important when the tamer and Digimon could communicate and move as one body.
Hell yeah! I was watching the show with my partner the day Karn came to us for designs, so Clown Crown was so strongly in my mind I had to pull from it to some degree
i love the idea of basing jeri's biomerge off a warrior-mother goddess, since leomon always has this kind of "group dad" vibe when it shows up in the anime, i could definitely see jeri re-awakening leomon's soul/data and achieving this form as like a capstone to a character arc about overcoming her trauma
Just when you think Jeri and Leomon's story can't get any more sad, Biomerge Type: Leo enters the chat. From the concept to the design this could be integrated flawlessly into Tamers. Really fantastic work!
I honestly love them all, the lore alone of each of them makes me wish they were part of the actual show so each duo could get to shine and help through the last stretch of the series (because hey, if you're gonna introduce this many tamers, it's a bit of a waste if just four of them get the power up to deal with the big bad), though I'll admit that if I have to choose one, it'd be Ningyomon, like you said, he comes together in a way that makes sense but from a complete different angle that you would expect, and I love that about him.
I like these ideas. Especially Jeri and Leomon having two different possibilities with biomerging. One dark side (D-reaper included) and one light side.
I think if Kenta were to get a Biomerge, then it'd be more of a slide evolution, just one is support focused, the other is offense focused, partially because slide doesn't get used much outside of Frontier and Mode Changes(speaking of mode changes am I the only one who wants MegaGargomon to get a Mode Change, Takato and Rika already have one in Crimson and Miko respectively?)
I actually already thought up of a Mega form for Jeri and Leomon, but it also included Calumon. After I finished doodling and named it, it got me thinking about how Leomon is such a iconic supporting character in multiple seasons yet we don't really have a proper Rookie form for him. (Or In-Training form, for that matter.) If Jeri ever did get Leomon back in some way, I think it would be interesting if she raised him from an egg and then remain as a Rookie for a base form, only digivolving for fighting. It would certainly provide a lot of opportunity for a deepened bond.
I think the most popular choice of Rookie Digimon for Leomon is Elecmon. Digimon ReArise established that Elecmon is a strong candidate to become Leomon.
@@zenvariety9383 Right, but Elecmon doesn't even resemble a house cat, let alone a lion. It's one thing for Gatomon to have the weird evolution line that she does (with each stage being drastically different from the rest) but Leomon and his various Ultimate and Mega forms are all lions. Same thing with MegaGargomon being a mecha dog when all of his prior forms are rabbit in appearance. It just bothers me too much...
@@cyberangel3022 Well Digimon drastically change in appearance. Besides, multiple Digimon can also become Leomon. Yet Elecmon has been established as a good contender as Leomon's rookie form.
Jestramon could be like Alien X from Ben 10. It is very powerful, but highly unstable due to the fact it has two people merging with it, meaning it does not last very long. Not only that, but it can easily go crazy and berserk if not all three of them are in agreement with one another.
Absolutely fantastic designs all around! Specially loved the leomon biomerges, the 2 possibilities feeds my "what if" hunger very much and seeing both an even more tragic form and an heroic female variant of leomon is awesome! Cheers to all of you for a other great video!
The coolest thing about rheamon is that she fits into wider digimon lore with stuff like server: homerus and the Olympus XII (especially since merukimon and mayyyybe marsmon being "natural" ultimates for leomon as a whole)
Aaaaa some of my oldest Digimon memories are a couple of post-canon stories where the kids all biomerged but only one of them was an original one so this is really neat!!
Definitely some inspiring stuff in here. I dabble a bit in Digimon writing, but one thing I really struggle with is coming up with new Digimon, or even coming up with digivolutions for those who don't have them (even many partner Digimon lack certain stages, like the 02 cast mostly having no ultimate and mega stages of their own since they went for DNA-Digivolution instead).
Ningyomon and Rheamon are probably my favorites I just like the idea of another celebrity style digimon like Ningyomon and Rheamon is that female variant of Leomon we’ve been needing for awhile keep it up Karn the tamer and frontier videoes are by far my favorites 👍
Gotta say, the custom art videos you do might be my favorites of your videos. Making new lines using existing digimon is fine, but sometimes, you're so limited in what you CAN choose that it kind of hurts a few of the results, through no fault of your own. The custom ones though...*chef's kiss*
These are fantastic designs! I could definately see these being biomerge forms for the Tamers who never got megas in the end. Yes, it would've been easy for some like Jeri to get BanchoLeomon or SaberLeomon and Kazu to get HiAndromon etc but I really like the fact that these fans who made the designs really went out of their way to make them new forms more human-based as you said Karn. The D-Reaper Type: Leo would've been a great final boss for Gallantmon Crimson Mode to take on at the finale too as a corrupted Biomerge with Jeri that the D-Reaper was experimenting with. It's so creepy and wrong from its appearance. I would've also given an honorable mention to Plutomon being a potential biomerged mega for Alice as well.
Love the use of this concept dude 👏🏻 I posted yesterday how interesting it would be to see more Bond Evolutions not just for the Adventure team but for the likes of the 02 team and other kids from different seasons like Tamers 👀 just throwing that idea out into the void 😂
I wonder if we would have gotten Leopardmon for Jeri/Juri's biomerge. It could have been cool to see more Royal Knights than just Gallantmon running around, especially if Kazu did get Craniamon. In all reality, there are too many fun possibilities in Digimon when you remember that you can have two kids have the same rookie with completely different follow up forms. I think that for me is one of Digimon's strong points. Evolution is not linear as with Pokemon ( I love both franchises so much, just pointing out how their evolution things differ.) Sorry for the long comment. Still love your videos. They always get me thinking about stuff.
I always wanted to see some kids (maybe siblings) with the same Digimon who all evolved into different things. It'd be really easy to see with Pulsemon.
I love all of these... and making Jerry's puppet part of the creepy Biomerge is brilliant. I would like to see another video where you do the inverse with the other 4 Digimon. I mean if Impmon can basically have 2 Megas, one Biomerge and one standard evolution and MarineAngemon can have a Biomerge despite already being a Mega on his own, plus the fact that you gave Lopmon a Biomerge that is also different from the standard Mega evolution, I would really like to see what standard Mega evolutions for Guilmon, Renamon, Terriormon, and Cyberdramon would be like if they didn't Biomerge with their human partners. Terriormon I actually think would be the hardest one to design because Gargomon and Rapidmon are already pretty humanoid to begin with even before the Biomerge. Renamon to a lesser extent because she does have one quadrupedal evolution but most of her evolution line is also very humanoid already. However she does retain a more wolf like face through out all her evolutions except for the Biomerge where the wolf features more resemble a mask over a human face. Maybe the standard Mega would retain the more beast like appearance her other stages have, it might still be bipedal or could go quadrupedal again, it's not like we haven't seen a different wolf Digimon go from quad to bi and back to quad again before. Guilmon and Cyberdramon I think would be pretty easy. And yes I'm aware Guilmon technically already has a regular Mega that isn't a Biomerge but that was kind of like SkullGreymon in Adventure, it was an evil uncontrollable version and that's not really what I'm going for here. You could use that design as inspiration for what his standard mega might look like but I think it should be a more purified good form rather than the evil version that was actually in the Anime. Cyberdramon is also a dragon Digimon but that kind of gets lost in Justimon's design. There are existing Digimon that could already work as Cyberdramon's true Mega mostly because there are existing Digimon who share his cybernetic arm gimmick and one of them is also a dragon but if we're going to stay true to the theme of this video I think we should give him a new custom artwork rather than an existing Digimon who looks like they could fit in the evolution line. I love the idea of Biomerge from a story perspective but from a design perspective because they are all humanoid Digimon because they're taking elements from the human they're bonded with it's a little more limiting. That's why I want to see what they might turn into if it was a stand evolution line cause then you have more freedom to lean into the animal forms. But yeah because Terriormon's evolution line is already humanoid to begin with and his Biomerge already kind of looks like it could be a standard evolution on it's own I'm not sure what you could do differently that would still work in that evolution line and also be different from MegaGargomon.
For a non-Megidramon Mega for Guilmon, I've been thinking for a while that, based on ChaosDukemons lore of it basically just being another appearence of Megidramon, Dukemon should have its own Megidramon-version it could turn into that isn't evil. Unlike ChaosDukemon, maybe not just a simple recolor of Megidramon, but something along those lines.
@@Justic_ I was really confused what you were talking about at first. I'm so use to the American names I had to look up who Dukemon was only to realize you were talking about Gallantmon. Anyway... making a good version of Megidramon that isn't just a simple recolor is an interesting idea. Oddly enough I've noticed that ChaosGallantmon is actually missing the hazard symbol on his shield that Regular Gallantmon and most of the Guilmon line tend to have. Guilmon is also one of the few good Digimon who's actually a virus type. Virus Digimon tend to most be evil while Vaccine Digimon tend to be good variants. So what if he was designed as a Vaccine variant of Megidramon, losing the Hazard symbol like Chaos Galantmon. Guilmon's origins could also explain why he's a virus type in the first place since the Digivice essentially scanned his drawings and turned them into a Digimon who wasn't really suppose to exist but he ended up being good rather than evil like other Virus Digimon because of his partnership with his Tamer. Megidramon was initially evil because he was pushed to evolve before he was ready but an alternate Mega could have been a Vaccine type Megidramon. Still leaves us with no idea of what to do with the other three though. And I'd kind of prefer an all new design rather than just an alternate version of Megidramon.

Honestly I can see these happening and personally for impmon’s section I can see the biomerge form be where impmon letting his tamers join him on the frontlines so to speak and impmon’s natural mega form of beelzemon, and beelzemon blast mode, where impmon is wanting to keep his tamers safe from the dangers that can come from being on the frontlines such as with how certain digimon are of a bigger size such as the boar/pig deva
Now that you've done this... i wonder... what would biomerge look like for the rest of the characters in other series? (Taiki shoutmon, Tai agumon, davis veemon, Hiro Gammamon)
I always felt like calumon was suppose to be a secondary partner for Jeri after Leomon's death, but the series ended before we got a chance to see it happen.
this was confirmed when the series originally ended. We see a silhouette of Calumon's mega form when she digivolves digimon throughout the digiworld. Calumon's mega form was originally planned to defeat the d-reaper. i forgot why it was dropped. Something to do with orders from the higher ups. i just don't remember their reasoning
@@Captain_Chaz86 Oh, that was supposed to be a Mega-form? I thought it was simply like Calumons "original" form, since it started out as a function of the Digital World, basically a goddess of it similar to Yggdrasil the Host-server. But I guess that decision from the higher-ups is probably why that perception exists.
@@Justic_ I've been thinking for a while that perhaps Calumon is an avatar of Yggdrasil himself. If that's the case Calumon would serve as a powerful and OP Digimon that acts as the server admin that is both Yggdrasil, but also his own Digimon.
PunkAndromon is so far the best idea as it is the most plausible due to continuity, the second being Kenta's biomerge and maybe if there's a sequel season then Jeri can find another Digimon to become Rheamon with as Leomon died.
Riamon is so awesome! The first time I watched Data Squad I remember always thinking that merukimon would have been a perfect biomerge for leomon if they ever did biomerge again

Punkandromon stands perfectly as a addition to the adromon family and I can see it being the perfect fit for that biomerge definitely my favorite of the bunch. Reahmon is the second of the bunch that I think is the best fit. They all look great though.
I love this video. Just because Tamer is my favourite season. But it saddens me that only 4 tamers got that final digivolution. Would be great if they all got the biomerge digivolution.
Here's an idea for Jerry/Leomon's biomerge: Much like the others received a blessing to allow a biomerge outside the Digital World, Jerry received one that drew upon the data fragments of Leomon for a false biomerge. (Maybe the Biomerge: Type Leo, if we want to have a dark arc to begin with, before it's purified). But the regular biomerges separate afterward. With Jerry? Separating to de-digivolve could restore Leomon! And actual resurrection.
The Impmon was my favorite! Although I may be biased because Impmon is one of my all time favorites haha. I’d like to see the Digimon Tamers Digimon partner get “natural” final forms. DNA Digivolution might be cool too!!!
According to lore, Digimon grow in strength the closer to 'human' they become, mentally and emotionally. This is why Ultimate Forms tend to look most like knights or humanoid in design. It mirrors the growth of a cell, to a beast, to mankind, becoming more complex over time.
OMG thank you!!!!! Season 3 is flawless, but the thing that has bugged me over the 20 years is that none of the major 4 really digivolve, and it seems like such a waste. Like there is no reason any of the other tamers wouldn't fight or digivolve, and even to mega, like ughghghghgh. In short thanks, from one digimon fan to another!

I always liked the idea of maybe resetting Impmon in a possible Tamers reboot, and locking his mega behind a bio merge, but Beelzemon if it's with Mako, and Bellestarmon if he bio merges with Ai
Honestly for Jeri and Leomon's Biomerge I would've gone with something like out of Fate Stay, making the merge be a akin to a Lion Themed Female Knight like Arthoria
This was a REALLY great video. The amount of thought put into it, from lores of the fan Digimon art made to how they are able to connect to the human characters that they are merged with, and even thematic sense as well. It's incredibly well thought out and I think that if there is ever a Tamers reboot over the horizon, they should really consider using these.
I had an idea for that Duftmon/Leopardmon could work as a possible official digimon DNA digivolution for Jeri and Leomon. Has that Leomon connection, but Duftmon also has slight a androgynous look it. So it could work well.

Biomerging is literally the best form of Digi-evolution for me. The forms (ESPECIALLY Sakuyamon) are gorgeous designs and really bring Digimon and tamer together, truly. I wish the OG cast of Digimon had biomerged forms!
I still think we need a Tamers sequel movie where Leomon gets reborn. I'm not 100% sure how it would work but I mean the data of Leomom is in Impmon so maybe we can get some of that data and turn it into a digi-egg somehow. Idk I think that would be a nice end to Jeri's character.
Looking at some of these what ifs I found myself imagining what if the other Frontier kids got their own counterparts to EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon.

The writers revealed Kazu was originally going to biomerg with guardomon to make Justimon. it was a last min change to Ryo n cyberdramon due to japan popularity. They also originally planned for Jeri to get calumon as her true parter. With Calumon mega evolving at the same time. Her mega form, reverse digivolving the d-reap into an useless form. unable to control such power, it was supposed to hit the remaining tamers' digimon. turning them back into their eggs minus any loaded data n their memories.
