What if Sidious never planned on turning Anakin to the dark side due to Anakin being too unpredictable?

What if anakin was still in the Jedi temple when order 66 was executed? How would he react to his own clone legion attacking the temple? Would he die saving younglings? Would Ahsoka and Rex get to him in time?

My prediction: Due to Anakin's power ranking, the fight is much much closer than most make it out to be. However, Sidious eventually gets the better of Anakin, but spares him.

You are becoming more skilled as a story teller. This is actually pretty compelling. Great!

I love how your stories don't necessarily start where you would expect. And seeing the parallel of Windu and Palpatine, I thought that was a good way to change the original story. Great job again.

The only thing I"d change is : The Jedi revise the laws allowing Anakin & Padme to continue their marriage in the open.

What if Sidious didn't grant Vader the title of Darth

Anakin vs sidious now that’s a duel I’d love to see it might be even better than obi wan vs Vader in revenge of the sith. What if in the clone wars palpatine lost a vote of no confidence. Resulting in Bail or padme replacing him.

What if darth plagueis was a jedi What if dooku killed anakin on geonosis What if jango fett killed obi wan on kamino What if padme was the chosen one what if obi wan turned to the dark side after satine's death what if anakin was framed for the temple bombing

I really like the income of Anakin fulfilling his destiny and understanding the experiences he has been through to help him grow as a better person of being himself, and I LOVE IT! So please keep up the fantastic work, and may the force be with you!

that's how tbe story should have been. great to hear for once that anakin didn't turn or get beat but to get his full or close to his full strength and power to fulfill his destiny.

I really enjoyed this story, and I agree that extending the story superficially kills a good story, so this being a shorter story made sense and flowed well. I had a what if idea come to mind over the weekend and this story is actually great for my suggestion, because it focuses on individual decisions that are true to a character. My suggestion focuses on the decisions made by a key character that seemed out of place in the canon version of the story. What if Padme were more true to her character. In the Prequel Anakin goes to Tatooine to rescue his mother and tracks her to a Tusken camp or village, he finds her and she dies in his arms, Anakin then slaughters every Tusken in the camp or village. Anakin then confesses to Padme that he killed them all, referring to the Tuskens , including the women and children, this in my opinion is where Padme breaks character. Padme is presented as being compassionate and peace loving, but in the canon story they made it seem like she was ok with his actions, or at least dismisses what he did. In canon I think this scene was more impactful than it was presented to be and I believe this is the point where Anakin turned to the dark side, maybe he did not totally give in to the dark side, but I think at that point he became a Sith similar to Count Dooku. There are so many ways the story could go from this point had Padme stayed true to her character. She could have confronted Anakin immediately and Anakin could have killed her in a rage kind of how he did on Mustafar in canon, she could have convinced him to go to Obi-wan or the Jedi council, she could have gone to Obi-wan or the Jedi council, Anakin could have become angry with her for going to Obi-wan or the Jedi council and killed her for betraying him, again like what happened on Mustafar, there are really so many ways this idea could go. I really feel like in canon they went way off into left field doing a disservice to Padme's character. I'm sure she may have been a little forgiving since the Tuskens had killed him mother, but to handle it the way she did just seemed out of character for her.

"The good ending"

I don't think Anakin would've triumphed. Yes, Anakin wields more raw power. However, Sidious had been honing his abilities for decades & had near-perfected a multitude of abilities extremely beneficial for combat. In my mind, one of the most important combat-benefitting abilities he honed was his ability with Force Speed. As Antoine Bandele puts it, "speed kills in a duel." Sidious could enhance his speed to such an extreme degree that he'd be practically invisible to those who weren't extremely adept at enhancing their perceptions & processing speeds through the Force. As such, he could strike down many opponents before they so much as had the opportunity to blink. At this point, I haven't seen convincing evidence that Anakin is able to enhance his perceptions & processing speed to the extent needed to even properly perceive & keep up with Sidious. Additionally, pre-suit Vader was still extremely impulsive & impatient, while Sidious was very capable of exercising extreme patience & maintaining enough situational awareness to strategize as necessary. I think he could've "artfully maneuvered" (Heisenberg reference lol) Anakin in a way that exploited his impatience & temper so as to set him up for an easier killing.

Aaalright... at first I thought it'd be about Anakin going to fight Palps when he revealed himself as a sith. That twist was cool to see xD Anakin remaining true to the jedi and fully embracing the jedi way for the first time as truely as he does here was great to see. Giving Kit the nod via having him survive long enough to witness Anakin is great, he is a fan favorite but at times sold short IMO. Anakin isn't my favorite char, but you consistently manage to write him amazing. Massive probs for that xD And why should it be different today....? My suggestions stay the same (hope I don't get too annoying): What if A'Sharad Hett had trained Anakin Skywalker? What if Oppo Rancisis had trained Asajj Ventress? What if Yarael Poof had investigated on Kamino instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi?

-What if in SWTOR, Ochos of Oblivion didn’t happen and Vitiate/Valkrion return around the movies?(In the same vain of the Darth JarJar fic you did.) -What if The Rule of Two was abolished after the Clone Wars? -What if the Sith Empire returned during the Galactic Civil War instead of the Clone Wars? -What if Vader lived at the end of RotJ, not redeemed and in charge of the Imperial Remnant? -What if Anakin saved Mace Windu and stayed in the light during Order 66? -What if Thrawn was present during the Original Trilogy? -What if Anakin/Vader was a double agent and played the long game like your Rebel Thrawn fic? -What if Maul was found by the Jedi before Sidious? -What if Vader,Thrawn and Several Imperials started an Imperial Rebellion separate from the Rebels,which really took off around the DS1 destruction? -What if Vader never burned on Mustafar? -What if Grevious was a Republic General but still hated the Jedi? -What if Starkiller lived at the end of TFU1 and later trained the Skywalker Twins? -What if Lord Starkiller lived at the end of TFU1 dark side ending and ignoring the dlc, basically replacing Vader?

Anakin has the power and skill needed to get an upset victory but within revenge of the sith its impossible. When Sidious reveals himself Anakin is so onfocused, unbalanced, and stressed over his nightmares that he's nowhere NEAR his full capacity. Anakin would need to get away and come to terms both with Sidous and Padme and rebalance himself before going back in, possibly bringing Obi-Wan with him. Skywalker and Kenobi vs Sidious is a much more favorable fight

I think Anakin fulfilled the prophecy by although he was Vader then turned back he was the one that threw sidious down the pit and was the father of Luke and Leia and with those 3 brought balance to the force. Although the last trilogy messed that theory up.
