Mace - we grant you the rank of master but we don’t have enough chairs Anakin - what how can you do this this is outrageous it’s unfair how can I be a master and not have a chair Mace - take a seat Master Skywalker oh wait you can’t
This is something I think should have happened, the council should have given him the rank, he deserved it for everything he did in the clone wars. Great fan theory!
The whole genocide of the jedi could have been avoided if Mace just added a few more words to what he says to Ani. "You are on thic council, but we do not grant you the rank of master... Not because of your skill Skywalker, but because of your experience. You are stronger in the Force than most of us here. However we all have more experience with the Force, and the Wisdom gained from life, that you currently lack." It could have been as simple as that. Them guiding Anikin into his role as a true Master.
Yes and no, Windu's and the council's stupidity and arrogance as a whole towards Anakin was the council's and Jedis's downfall. But we all know it wasn't just the council that caused Anakin's downfall and theirs. Ultimately it was his own impatience and stupidity that did it. He never even thought about thinking outside the box. While trying to deal with his nightmares. It was always just ''I need moooore power, deeeeerp!!!'' To stop them from coming true. Let's say Anakin had the nightmares about Padme dieing in childbirth as he did in the movie. And instead of spazing about it. He could've said the hell with the order and asked Padme to leave to go to Naboo with him. Just in case the worst happens at least she will be around her family with no more lies between her and her family with little to no stress other than being pregnant. And, she would potentially have the best Doctors money could buy, since she was wealthy. And she would be able to say goodbye to her family if she did die. He could've talked to Obi Wan about his situation and the nightmares. And asked him to look in the Archives to see if there is any unknown knowledge that might be of help to him. He also could have asked other Jedi masters like Plookoon about a light side power that could be used to heal or save a life. But asked privately of course. And lastly, he could've asked where the light side of the force was strongest in the temple was at? If he didn't already know and went and meditated with the light side of the force as much as possible. To see if the Force itself would give him an answer. But like I said Anakin was just to impatient and stupid to think outside the box.
Frankly all that needed to be said was "Training a Padawan to Knighthood does not immediately a Jedi Master make. Have you mastered yourself yet?" Oh wait, Obi-Wan says exactly that in the novel. Anakin has no legs to stand on... and yes he fully deserved that pun.
@@michaelcarlton1484 Yes and no. To be fair, Jedi does not mean Celibate. But attachments are frowned upon, not out right banned. Personally, I think Jolee Bindo had the right mindset in regards to relationships for Force Users.
This was BEAUTIFUL! I like how just a small detail in the Dooku fight changed Anakins path towards the Light and Jedi here! No whispering and getting into his ear as Palpatine usually does instead Anakin focuses in the Archives and doing GOOD Force Healing for the win!
Mace: "You are on this council and since it's your birthday we grant you the rank of Master." Anakin: "Wha-oh, thank you, Master Windu." Mace: "Take a treat, young Skywalker."
that was a great story I loved the part where Anakin learned force heal and was able to take on Palpatine and survive. I glad despite his injuries he had a happy ending.
I always thought it was weird they made such an issue with granting him the title. I'm surprised Mace or Yoda wasn't like "Okay, we don't like this whole thing, but we realize you didn't ask for it. Also, despite the weird ass circumstances, you have contributed a great deal to the Republic and the Order over the years. So, we grant you the title on a provisional basis, pending all this shit being sorted out properly"...
Strange. I must be in the minority because it made sense to me. The position of 'Master' in the order isn't some fancy title you can just give to anyone. The rank carries with it the understanding that you are at peace with yourself and your place in the universe. Anakin was certainly _not_ at peace with himself, what with all that child murder and war crimes he's responsible for, and the Council would sense that - hell, Obi-Wan is on the Council so of course he knows Anakin is far from ready for that level of responsibility. Also why the hell should the Council make Anakin a Master at the word of an individual who is not even part of the Order? As far as I have always been concerned, placing him on the Council as an outsider's representative was already quite generous of them.
@@Tahkaullus01 If you ignore Clone Wars show, yeah, he hadn't earned the rank of Master. His tamtrum also showed he lacked Maturity to be one. However, as Clone Wars is cannon, it makes less sense for them to block him on a technicality of Ashoka leaving before she was Knighted, thus making him a Jedi Master. Over the War he showed his abilities and maturity (mostly) and his Padawaan was trained to Knight but because the Council couldn't remove their heads from their fourth point of contact, she said no. Between that and the stresses of war make his outburst much more understandable as he had litterally held all his disappontment and stresses to himself. All that had to say was "Well, you did train Ashoka to the point we consider her a kight if she returns so you earned the rank". Instead, it was mostly because Mace couldn't be bothered to understand Anakin and sorta just sterotyped him as a loose cannon that he couldn't trust.
What if a random Republic ship that didn't get the info that Palpatine was captured destroyed the Invisible Hand, killing Palpatine and Dooku(lets say Grievous survives) before Anakin and Obi Wan gets there.
I am glad for Anakin in this version but one thing I never understood why it had to be Anakin rather than just through him. Healing is restricted because it can be dangerous, and probably because the republic feared it. But if healers would know it. He could request she give birth at the temple because they were known to be close. If not that they monitor her.
Great story, however I think that Papatine would've used the lightning as a distraction to escape his office and activate Order 66 as he probably knew he can't turn Anakin at this point.
I think it was good. One minor issue I have. Palpatine was using the darkside to forsee the future as well as manipulate it. If things didn't go as they should have and he was given rank of master, Palpatine would have noticed he can't get a hold of Anakin and see if something changed in his plans.....which would have clearly been the case. Which would mean he would have needed another temporary servant at the very least incase he could not turn Anakin. Barriss would be a prime candidate for that. He could have pardoned and released her if she served him in the dark side, which she gladly would have. Another option was to go to the Jedi prison and attack that to get a quick servant for the dark side. Even if they were to be used as temporary pawns until he could get his plans back into balance, I can see him making similar moves. It doesn't mean he'll succeed, but if Anakin was no longer practically a sure thing (and the force would show him his chances have waned), he wouldn't be so stupid to try and do this alone without a backup. He's not that dumb.
Nothing would be different. Ahsoka would just take Obi-Wan's place as Anakin's ties to the Force which Palpatine would work to sever. Maybe Ahsoka dies, maybe she doesn't. Either way, Obi-Wan survives Order 66 - because of course he does - learns Anakin cut down children, follows Padme to Mustafar, and takes off Anakin's legs.
Regarding Anakin's learning and use of Force Healing here... I think that Anakin should have discovered Dark Transfer, instead. In Legends, Anakin's distant descendant, Cade Skywalker (who was born probably around 100 ABY) learned this power, which was an extremely rare and more powerful variant of Force Healing that could be used by Light and Dark Side users. But unlike Force Healing, Dark Transfer is used to bring a person back from near-death, or in some cases, from death. Cade Skywalker discovered this power when he was nearly killed by Darth Krayt, bringing himself back from the brink of death. I think Anakin, being the chosen one, could do the same, allowing himself to live, as well as save everyone else. As for future events that could happen in this version of events: - Even with Dooku and Palpatine dead, the other leaders of the CIS were not executed by the fallen Anakin, so they could still be causing at least *some* trouble. - Order 66 (or the inhibitor chips in general). Even with Palpatine dead, those chips are still in the Clones' heads and are fully functional. What if another Supreme Chancellor were to try and issue it in the future? After all, the Executive Orders programmed into the chips *are* public (ie. not hidden/secret) knowledge. - Mandalore: Without the Republic-turned-Empire occupying Mandalore, the Mandalorian people were never divided into being for or against the Empire, and as such likely remained united under the rule of Bo-Katan Kryze and her New Mandalorian faction. But the remnants of Pre Vizsla and Maul's Death Watch are still out there. And if Order 66 never happened, then Maul would have been successfully captured by Ahsoka and the 332nd Division, and Maul's loyalists would try to free him from the Jedi's custody as they did in the original timeline when Sidious imprisoned Maul in the Spire Prison. - Boba Fett: Boba is definitely still out there, becoming the most dangerous man in the galaxy. He's still going to want revenge, especially if Mace Windu is still alive. Also another what-if?: What if Anakin had been dispatched to the Siege of Mandalore and defeated Maul (the current Mand'alor) in single combat and took the Darksaber? I think it'd be pretty cool for Anakin to wield a LIGHTsaber and the DARKsaber, being the chosen one, embodiment of light and dark and all that. And it'd be cool for a Jedi to wield it again.
@@thestarwarsgalaxy I have an idea for you for a what if where during the scene where Mace defeats palps, Mace has been thinking about how powerful the darkside was, how it hid right beneath them and he fully give into the darkside, kills Anakin, and helps Darth Sideous to his feet and says something funny like it's weird to call someone else master when I've been at this for so long but what is your bidding my master!
@@dankcraft7386 Well that's whats fun about what ifs is they don't always have to make sense, sometimes they can just be chaotic fun and I mean just picture Mace Windu going full Sam Jackson lol!
I watch these regularly and I’d just like to say after watching so many of these what ifs, I am Astonished at your work. It’s all believable makes sense in canon. And they always tie up loose ends. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 great work!
The really tragic part of all this is that if he hadn’t have been so impulsive, power hungry, egotistical and reckless and actually listened to obi wan whilst practising like he did, he would have probably have kept padme and her affections, and followed the Jedi rules and been honest he would have had his family but yes would have been scolded by the Jedi council, if he had of just told the council he would have had appreciation he wanted and he would have eventually proved himself a true Jedi with all the knowledge he wanted if he stayed to the light and he would have been a master eventually as obi wan said
Oh suuuuuure, Obi-Wan "kills" Darth Maul and he's made a Master, but Anakin does the same thing to Dooku and Mace be all like, "You ain't no master, bitch."
I am thoroughly enjoying your Star Wars what if series. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I appreciate how well you are applying your gift for great storytelling. 😊
I know someone probably already said this already but I seriously think this outcome was more likely to happen if he stayed in the light side or he should have asked bout if their was a way to heal someone much earlier since he really wanted to know how to stop people from dying after his mom died in clones wars. I think he would asked someone about it or he should have been given the rank of master early like you did in this video because of he did the most damage in the war out of all the Jedi an he had already proven to be loyal atfer Ahsoka left the order so yeah I think this would be one of the more likely outcomes
Just a small correction at 3:22. This was at the end of clone wars so Anakin was 22 at the time, meaning that Obi-Wan had spent 13 years with him instead of 10 (9-22). Great what if!
Heres a few story idea's 1. What if reven was brought out of stasis later. I offer a few ideas, the high republic, the clone wars, just after the battle of yavin, dark empire or just after the vong war. 2. What if obi wan found r2 before the jawa's. It would be interesting to see how things would play out. Maybe he would leave luke and train leia? 3. This one and the next are similar. What if luke joined the rebellion before leia was captured. Ive seen it mentioned in comments and online that was biggs and lukes idea. Train at the imperial academy and defect to the rebellion. 4. What if luke was found by the ghost crew. Similar to the other idea. But the ghost crew recruits him. Could be interesting to see depending on when they find him.
Anakin literally did more for the war between the republic and seperatists more than any other clone or jedi in that era he single handedly took out a sith by himself. He rescued palpatine with obiwan on his back landed a broken down ship if this doesnt deserve the rank of master i dont know what does. He literally did the ome thing no other jedi has done in that time frame which was kill a sith i dont know any other jedi in that time era that did that. If they had trusted him more amd accepted him they wouldnt have died. However i will say that seems like lucas nerfed tf out of the jedi theyre fighting style was designed to block blaster bolts. But none of them could deflect a few blaster bolts??? They knew there was something off about the clones but didnt really do any thorough investigations into the creation of the clone wars? Seems lile the jedi were just lazy about aky investigations. They had thousands of jedi at their disposal ajd couldnt spare a hamdful of jedi to investigste this? Just lots of plot holes
I Star Wars galaxy also make what if Anakin Skywalker Stayed on Mortis along with what if he was sent to killed Darth Maul and general grievous many more to come
@@captaintitus4637 also it’s true Anakin Skywalker could reach his full potential with or without his right arm right and become the strongest most powerful force user of all time in history ever
I’ve been watching these what if stories for months by many RU-vidrs, and I think you deserve much more subs than what you have. Fantastic story, a sub from me!
Great video!! But the only hole bugging me is that i feel Anakin would've also gone to Palps with the news of his promotion, they were already very close by the start of RotS
Im working on a fan fiction involving an original character named Orion Killdarn. when its done, i would love for you to write a whole series of these what ifs involving my character.
@@jdfigs5916 Probably the council's. That doesn't change the fact that he should have found a new Padawan asap. It was war time, Jedi knights were dying and needed to be replaced. There was a high probability his potential Padawan's master died he could have finished his/her training and get the rank.
As a old head that was there from the very first day I made my mother take me to see a New Hope 15 times I didn't see empire strikes back and return of the Jedi as many I think I saw eight times in the theater and return of the Jedi 9 if I can remember but I really liked what she did it's awesome and I just wanted to say guys give Disney a break because I'm just I know they're not doing everything that George Lucas would do but I'm just glad that somebody's making Star wars content even if they screw it up a little bit. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Well more than a little bit and they're not doing much better with marvel either. But my point is I'm enjoying scene Star wars that's all.
This is the version of my heart this is the version that tops all the others. You should right a book alternate timeliness star wars with this ending love it
I feel like Palatine will push his seduction just as much as the mark is primed to receive it. He wouldn't do the exact same things. Also Obi Wan knew where Grieves was because Palatine told him. They wouldn't have killed Grieves otherwise.
It's so true that if the Jedi order listened to their own ways and credences that fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate hate leads to suffering. They could have avoided the rise of Darth Vader. The council feared how powerful Anakin could be from jump. Did not want to give him rank because they felt he was out of not ready or already growing Too powerful.
Exceptionally good story that I really enjoyed alot. However if anakin learned force healing would it be possible to over time say weeks or months to more fully heal himself. Say if he combined force heal with a period of time in a bacta tank say perhaps 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hours per session and once a fortnight bacta for twenty four hours with help from the jedi healers and the council twenty four hours of force healing. Say it's a long shot but what if. Kind regards from Daniel Harman.
