Palpatine didn't need Anakin tbh. Likely, Palpatine would have executed Order 66 and just demanded Commander Rex and his Troopers to arrest Anakin, throwing forward backup contingencies that would paint the Jedi as villains. Remember, Windu was going to confront Palpatine about his emergency powers and so Sidious would have no choice but to reveal himself without Anakin's involvement.
Yesn't. Palpatine didn't need Anakin to complete his plans, but Anakin was a MASSIVE loose end that couldn't just be left untied. Palpatine needed Anakin either turned or dead before he revealed himself, as Anakin alone was powerful enough to destroy everything Palpatine built otherwise.
Anakin and Obi-Wan led most of the Republic's military missions Palpatine would be in a precarious position if they were still around. Most probably another Galactic Civil War would have kicked off immediately rather than a rebellion.
It wasn't about needing him. It was a huge middle finger once again to the force, that the side effect of he and his master's meddling would become his puppet. A symbolic victory. If he'd lost him, it wouldn't have mattered. Inquisitors were threatening enough to any non-force sensitive. Palps just had a throbbing revenge-of-the-sith-boner for this particular victory.
I've watched a lot of "What If" Star Wars fan written stories, and the one pattern I've noticed is how in a great majority of them, Anakin never falls to the dark side, Sidious is killed, and the Empire never comes to be. What I'm saying is not criticism, what I'm saying is, the "reality" we all know is even MORE of a tragedy for Anakin Skywalker, when you consider how many ways things could have gone right.
am stillkinda upset they made legends non cannon, but afaik they are slowly reintroducing it to cannon (even thought they might tone it down and/or butcher some of it for "modern audience").
That was great story man. If the original trilogy didn’t exist they could’ve went waaaayyyyyy different with the Star Wars universe and still have made great movies to this day! Thanks!
I think Kit fisto would have survived, he only died so quickly because he was distracted when he sensed Anakin coming to them. At least, I believe that as the official explination.
It is. In the novel he survives until Anakin arrives and was distracted by his presence, slightly breaking his concentration and giving sidious an opening to kill him
@@treiwilson9445 It actually was, but had generally fallen out of use for anyone above Youngling due to the amount of Dedication necessary to Properly Master it.
@theseekerofancienttruth3873 form 1 also having random strikes made it a great form to use against Grevious. If the council were to send any other Jedi to fight him, it'd be Fisto
I just want you to imagine how terrifying being force sensitive is when Anakin is around. Like you just feel a MASSIVE shift in the force, then you look to your left and Anakin is just standing there minding his own business. Then there's full potential Anakin, wether I'm a Jedi or a Sith I do not care, I'm just running.
Dude, this is actually really freaking good. Disney needs to hire you, I was not expecting to watch the whole video. Literally for the first couple minutes I was confused because I thought this was an actual Star Wars comic I never read before. Legitimately everything seemed like it could’ve happened, the only thing was palpatine would’ve probably had a plan B in case anakin didn’t get rejected by the order. Otherwise please make more
I don't think working at Disney for new Star Wars projects is such a good idea, Disney is now a company that suck the fun and life out of every franchise they have and the witch that ruined Star Wars is still the head of LucasFilm. I'd rather see creators show their love of Star Wars here instead of slowly losing it by working with one of the worst companies and basically be a part of the destruction of the franchise started by KK & her goons.
Anakin, being the Chosen One, should have been the one to deliver the killing blow against Darth Sideous! It only makes sense. He killed Darth Tyranus. Now in order for him to fulfill the prophecy, Anakin must also destroy Sideous. If he does not, then the Chosen One, he is not.
You know Palpatine would have probably had the contingency to capture Anakin within order 66 and tell the republic he died. Than turn him to the Darkside under captivity. He could have saved him from Mustafar. Padme still would have died from heartbreak after delivering the Twins.
My literal first memory is Luke losing his Fap Hand, from a Car Seat in a Theater in Flint, in a Mall that isn't there anymore. I like your shit, my dude. I've noticed you're becoming more sure of yourself as a Narrator, lately. Keep it up, and keep your confidence up as a Content Creator.
There were a lot of options for Palpatine. Aside from Dooku and getting both Maul & Savage if he wanted, Palpatine had a legitimate claim to the Dark saber & Mandalore itself. So, even if Skywalker was lost and Order 66 didn't go as planned a Sith Lord with a legitimate Mandalorian army wouldn't be something to snub your nose at. Scary how many connections & unorthodox powers Palpatine truly has.
He would have been enlightened in his views of the jedi, and possibly found knowledge to put him on an entirely different trajectary. I believe his quest wouldn't have been for power, but for knowledge. "The quest for power is blind, and stunted by igorance". "There is only peace in the pursuit of knowledge" Anakin was forced to seek power by the arrogance of the jedi counsel instead of pursuing knowledge leading to his fall to the darkside.
I love how you had RotS Anakin cross over to Ahsoka and Maul. I really would like to see more of that kind of timeline the prequel trilogy never covers, ala Clone Wars Season 7!!
If you’re reading this, thank you for clicking on my video! I’m loving where this channel is going and id greatly appreciate it you subscribe and leave a like to help grow this daily Star Wars community! ❤️
I have an idea, if anyone wants to take a crack at it. What if Ezra Bridger stumbled upon Luke Skywalker when he went to Tantooine looking for Obi-Wan? Oh the possibilities.
@@thestarwarsgalaxy I know! It could break down on so many ways. Maul catches Luke and Ezra at the Lars household? That could go so many ways! Obi-Wan finds Like and Ezra after killing Maul but Ezra had already shown Luke about the Force. Again so many directions. Ezra and Luke leave Tantooine before Obi-Wan or Maul can intervene and rejoin the rebellion so it's Luke and Ezra who save Ahsoka and confront Palpatine. Again the possibilities are endless! How has no one thought of this before? A genuine, never been done, interesting, damn plausible Star wars what if. I hope you do great things with it sir. If works out for you, I have a couple of others.
Cool story I'd really like to see more like this. It's a subtle variation to what if anakin was granted the rank of master. It would be cool to see what if Qui-gon jinn lives to train anakin without any dooku involvement. What if ventress didn't turn to the darkside as a padwan after her master was killed. What if barris offee was given psychological therapy to save her from turning to the darkside. What if several people were sceptical about the origins of clones and the inhibitor chips as well as the investigation into them thus continued to quietly investigate. What if the jedi and the naboo worked together to free anakin's mother as well as propose reforms to the anti slavery laws of the Republic to make them more effective. Kind regards from Daniel Harman.
Every video you’ve released since I’ve started watching your channel has grown has gotten better has been more articulate and truly shows your passion for Star Wars as a whole. I have no doubt this channel or one day pass Star Wars theory. Keep up the great work I look forward to seeing your progress.
Wow, that was great!!! Really enjoyed his interaction with maul... Except that he died. But that's probably more realistic. Anyway I was super entertained!!!
I think that Darth Sidious would have thought that Anakin Skywalker would have killed Darth Maul out of revenge for the death of the Jedi Master that Darth Maul had killed during The Phantom Menace.
@@thestarwarsgalaxy I like how mentioned fusion of the two holocrons between Anakin and Mual. Although the simplest answer to saving Padme from dying from childbirth would be to rely on healing “crystal of fire” its a crystal Jedi heals and Jedi medics use to save people from the brink of death. Had Anakin done his research in Jedi Path book he could’ve avoided turning into Darth Vader altogether.
Just a comment about the writing-- at 17:34, you forget to mention that Palpatine is using force lightning against Windu with his other hand, and for a bit it makes it seem like Mace spaced out or something instead of protecting Anakin.
Anakin: How do I save padme... Holo: Save yourself from darkness, and she will survive. Maul: I have a million questions, but... 🙂 Holo: better not be Maul: kenobi.... 😀 Holo: 😑 utapau
No, he was fighting Maul with two, and when he overpowered Zabrak with force imbued strenght, he hide them and begin force lightning Maul... He however lost his saber to Windu, because it was knocked out outside window, the saber his fighting with Yoda is different than Saber he fought with Mace
You make some cool idea videos. Did you know there is a Star Wars fan story called "Star Wars vs Warhammer 40k" by a youtuber called AFanWithTooMuchTime? It's a very interesting what if story you may like.
If only Anakin Skywalker knew a Jedi Master with access to the Archives like Yoda or Obi-Wan. Perhaps a Master on the Jedi Council like Ob-Wan or Yoda. Like Yoda, a Grandmaster even. Perhaps someone like Yoda or Obi-Wan who said he likes Padme on screen. Someone known to be compassionate and eager to help someone upon asking like Yoda or Obi-Wan. Too bad Anakin Skywalker decided not to ask for help from Yoda or Obi-Wan Kenobi.
the Jedi wouldn't have been wiped out if they had mastered Trákata instead of banning it. order 66 would have been throwing clones into a lightsaber buzzsaw.
before the deluge of 'it's just a block-counter', no that was an example of using the on-off function in combat, which is what Trákata actually is. Trákata when fully mastered uses a floating lightsaber that tumbles through the air and blinks on whenever it's emitter lines up with an opponent. the practice was banned before it could be explored to that point. remember that guy that used 6 lightsabers? imagine if they were ranged. _thats_ Trákata. flick a finger and Force throw your lightsaber, blinking it on at the last second spearing them and then retracting it back to you. 2 second shot. "a siths Force lightning can herd nerfs, I'll use my lightsaber"
Lightside and Darkside holocron combine into a wish orb... you know those are very advanced books right? Its like saying an apple and samsung when combined by a apple and samsung fanboi create a phone that can call any person anywhere even in the afterlife. The force is one thing, worldbuilding assassination another.
It’s what he asked in Rebels when this situation happened so that’s what I based it off. Definitely could’ve been different but that’s the direction I thought would fit him best. It’s an excellent conversation though! What’s would you have had him ask?
@@thestarwarsgalaxy yeah but it’s a younger maul kenobi wasn’t in hiding so definitely was easier for him to find I feel like he would’ve asked about some type of advantage to get to him
It's not like he could have requested to learn how to save someone from death without Obi Wan being suspicious. Not after asking Yoda for advice. It would have been too risky.
Anakin's story is literally the cycle of bending the rules out of sheer stupidity and a failure of management. It was clear from the start he should not have been trained as a Jedi. Soooo many warning signs. And out of all the people, Padame chooses one of the worst choices to have a relationship with. Just absurd.
Dude if Anakin would’ve left the order and raised Luke. TRAINED Luke without Jedi Involvement. The Skywalker family woulda been the friggin Avatars of the Star Wars universe lmao, how sick is that! Or I guess it’d be more of a grey jedi order right? Idk
