But he is the Chosen One. It's only that Anakin's destiny and actions as the Chosen One weren't what the Jedi Order expected. He restored balance : first by eliminating the majority of the Jedi and later by eliminating Sidious and Vader (yes it's himself, but his darker side).

What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme (Pentre Patrol did his version), Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?

What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories. Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself. What if anakin was a jedi watchmen or wayfinder. What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia. What if anakin fell in love with luminara or your own version of aayla secura romance. What if oppo rancis trained anakin. No turning to the dark side, no struggling with the dark side no nothing, but the events that caused him to struggle with the dark side still happen. Strange thought, but maybe Anakin ISN'T THE CHOSEN ONE (Now don't dislike until you've heard me out) The purpose of the Chosen one is the bring balance to the force. By the end of the story, there are no Sith or dark side users. (I am assuming the sequel trilogy hasn't happened yet) So... if it isn't Anakin, who is really the Chosen One? One lone person comes to mind. Palpatine gave the order to purge the jedi with order 66, despite Anakin following orders and following his new masters wish to its completion. BUT, if it wasn't for Palpatines orders, Anakin and the Grand Army of the Replublic would not have turned against the Jedi. This pruge, ordered by him, was a method of bringing balance to the Force, as he knew that some Jedi would survive like Yoda and Obi-Wan did. If it wasn't for Anakins twins being hidden from him, the force would have truly been balanced, as highlighted by the Mortis gods (Father, Son, and Daughter). Weird thought, but I stand by it.
