You didn't know? The Overseer HAS voice acting. Check its 'roar' on the Wiki- you can very faintly hear it say, "The chosen one... Homo Deus..."

wow I never noticed that, and I do actually think this is true with the fact the end cutscene for extinction had a similar roar from Rockwell that got decoded to say something about Helena

@@AlvarenMyras Rockwell allegedly yells, "I... AM... COMING... FOR YOU." But it's.. not as clear as the Overseer’s line. Debatable as to whether or not Rockwell’s just yelling or actually speaking, imo.

I kinda would and wouldn’t like the islands overseer to have dialogue because I feel it would take away from that robotic functionality that at its core is a conscious being which I feel is a great divide from humans and homo deus is how their so much more systematic being more connected to the arks and tek. But on the other hand, I would love if they spoke in their own language as they transition from forms as almost a inputting a command and us the survivors can learn whats coming up, it would be a series of single deep and low but having a good boom to it as to give a sense of cybernetic and mechanical unawareness, with a ring of flashing symbols around their force field. To then have Helena encouraging you as well!

I think they made it like how the overseer would talk about what they were doing like it says in the video: initiating test one. It could say other things like: systems critical. Or total system failure imminent.

Dude I'm not going to lie this would have been one of the coolest additions to the boss fight. I'm probably being overdramatic, but I'm slightly tearing up and I can well the hype for the fight and ascension just from that little video snippet. 😂

This seems a bit taunting, but 🤓 time. Manticores have the ability to speak. Even though SE boss doesn't have any vocalization aside from the roar when it starts attacking, it wouldn't be inaccurate for it to taunt the player at the beginning of the fight until it lands, and everytime it takes flight
