They should let Ash catch that Latias and Latios since they were retiring Ash and his Pikachu but instead they pulled the same twist. Ash should of been spending his time in journey's catching more Pokemon and rotated them in each episode like Ash did with his old Pokemon in Aim to be a Pokemon Master which after his Pidgeot and catching that Gyrados he would then lastly catch the Latias and Latios.
