I feel like this little change/buff: If he uses the projectile stop/start move (stasis) with no projectiles, his next one will be frozen instantly after casting. It would make some heavy counterhit combos possible, like a launcher>stasis>ball>arrow>stasis>ender string of choice. Edit: fixed a combo for a nonexistent character, speaks volumes about the concept. Its so good
i still am just floored by the decision to randomly give him the nicest pair of kicks in the game. Asuka's a true sneakerhead. He deserves to get in for those shoes alone.

@@shinyrayquaza9 I never trust leaks as we have had characters come out that to my knowledge weren't datamined, like Bridget and Testament. Then there is also the fact that multiple characters have been datamined such as Johnny, Jam, and Slayer. If I am not wrong they pretty much announced Delilah for march with the teaser thing.
he should have a 3rd super called "Dragon Uninstall!" where its just a normal grab that can interrupt sol's dragon install grab. If you actually uninstall the dragon then Sol loses the ability to dragon install for the whole match. This is 100% balanced and fair

Well the archetypes and general idea of the character seemed to have been pretty spot on, but instead of having a time gimmick he has a spell slot and health gimmick and he seems to be more of a halfscreen/just out of reach zoner.
now this is quality, good shit to everyone who worked on this. Also seeing asukas full model like this his design is kinda goofy ah, he wears this priest looking top under japanese clothes and then just threw on a lab coat and some fly ass kicks.
Honestly, I am pissing and shaking and farting and shidding all over myself right now at the revelation that you aren't actually Daisuke. This entire time, I thought your videos from ArcSys HQ were based on literal conversations you had at the office. You even pronounced "GIVEU HIM A BA" perfectly and everything just like Daisuke did in his bi-annual worship ritual. I am shocked and appalled that you'd lie to everybody like this. Anyway, liking and subscribing (a second time I dunno how this is possible) again for the deception arc.
Just as a bit of a suggestion to this series, perhaps add in concepts for intro animation/lines, taunts, victory animation/lines, and unique character interactions

He's the guy that makes hundred year plans after all I want to play him even thought I'm horrible at setplay lol If you want suggestions for future characters: -New: Izuna and Vernon -Returning: A.B.A and Robo-ky
I really hope they make one last Guilty Gear game that's like Smash Ultimate, in the sense that everyone is playable. No need to give it any story relation, just cool shit
hindsight is 2020 they made him a setplay zoner but they gave him that pseudo randomness of a character like zappa literally mostly right ig they had to differentiate him so they gave his projectiles rng

I think you've hit the nail on the head for what archetype he'll be, and as cool as everything looks, I wonder how effective this playstyle would be considering Strive's generally small screen space compared to older games. Jack-O already has a hard time getting multiple minions set up on the screen. Wall breaks would be something Asuka would probably want to avoid more than other characters. I feel like getting a good setup would require a lot of experimentation and improv from the play to truly be scary, which honestly, he should be the hardest character to master. Super looked dope as fuck.
I hope you guys continue with this series, lots of characters I would love to see have move sets. Though a lot more work, might be worth brainstorming some general ideas for normal buttons or command inputs, since that can help with gatlings and how combos could be worked.
Asuka was actually a pretty good friend, in his character bio it states aria was sick so he injected her with gear cells so she could live longer, he then did the same to Frederick so he could stay with her on both of their now long lives, the universal will just kinda ruined it
Oh my god. I am so hungry… For more Asuka content. Rad chad, the mad lad, still waiting for the DNA test, so maybe my dad? You’ve outdone yourself, this video is literally perfect. Asuka’s been my top pick for season 2 (that’s a new character) and he looks so sick. He might be the only zoner I EVER play if he released like this. Not to mention the animations were just **chef’s kiss**
the "Origination" animation is so fucking rad i could watch it forever??? i can so vividly hear whatever theme is playing just stop as he puts his fingers on the pages and then the announcer's "SLASH" during or right after the glass shatter (i can imagine it hitting for a whole 25% HP, or at least close to that
I wanted "pausable" projectiles in fighting games ever since i got into the genere so I love the idea you came up with or better yet if Asuka ends up being added with something similar.

I think with stuff like force, gear, and upward arrow would make him a sick corner combo character, specially if the projectiles don't just go off screen when they hit the corner and instead just spin there allowing resets. goodjob.
This is a really cool concept for a character and a video. The L.A.S.E.R. seems a bit weird though since it seems like it would overshadow the other projectiles for zoning and having a meterless reversal is already significant defense for a zoner. Maybe make it an air special that's cancelled into stasis or jD either with a straight (for air to airs) or downward angle that completely halts air momentum. Also, something that would be really important technical details that are probably to much for this character concept video are: how would opponent's get rid of the frozen projectiles? Do projectiles disappeared on hit/block or not and which ones? What happens with stasis from getting hit. Does stasis end potentially sending a projectile that might break the combo, or does it stay and potentially make the opponent chose a combo that is unoptimized but avoids the frozen projectile? How many hits do the projectiles have and how do anti-projectile moves deal with them?
