In the Mongol scenario, I think Italy would have survived. Historically, the Mongols had an extremely difficult time fighting in mountains and in warm humid environments like India and the Mediterranean coast.

Mr. Possible History. This is a fantastic viewer contest video about what if Britain surrendered in 1940 and the Mongols conquered Europe. The first video is more realistic about how Britain offered in 1940, leaving Hilter in power throughout the decades. And he kicked the bucket; Germany would still collapse because the war industry and the government were based on propaganda, and the military had high command with no experience in economics or politics. I think Germany will still become a republic with the Nazis out of power and could try to rebuild relationships with other European countries. The second is kind of a great but terrifying concept for Mongols to invade much further into Europe by them sieging Vienna by conquering the Holy Roman Empire and France along with Poland. I'm surprised England, the Liberian nations, and the Scandinavian countries survived the Mongol conquest. This would be an exciting scenario for a future video about this topic, and I could imagine if the English might be able to colonize some parts of Europe and abe annex what's left of France. The Scandinavian nations could even form their own empires in a decimated Europe,e and I believe the English could colonize much of Europe due to no competition. There could be an earlier British Empire in Europe with many English settlements in those decimated places. This is a fantastic video, PH; even though you have few likes but do not like that discourage you. Just remember, always try your best, think of the positive outcome, and keep up the excellent job you're doing!!

My personal fave was the first one, I want to do a scenario on my own channel on What if WWII Never Happened. I'm really excited to see the rest of the scenarios though, your channel's great. The first one has some parallels to TNO: Last Days of Europe (the HOI4 mod) with the German Civil War I noticed

The inverse of the 2nd scenario would also be fascinating: What if the Mongol invasions never happened? What the second scenario outlined for Europe is kind of what happened everywhere the Mongols conquered. Maybe these places would have been less conservative and more advanced without the Mongols.

as for the mongol conquers europe scenario, I think there is also a strong vast tech exchange between east and west which creates a strong renaissance different from the renaissance of the middle ages as the renaissance starts in Germany. The most civilized richest parts of the Euro mongol empire are the Geman states. As the Mongol empire collapses in the late 15th century and the Britsh scandanavians and Iberians fil the void of power. teh Black death still comes to Europe but due to higher tech level and lower population density the effects are bad but not as bad as OTL. MIng China actually massively expands the Chinese navy, also the 4 major empires Ming China, Spain, British, Swedish all carve up the Americas , the Carraibean and Africa into colonies. by 2022 the tech level is retrarded to aboiut 100 years , 1920s tech with some peculiar differnces than in OTL with Chinese like medicine, acupuncture being the accepted worldwide medical treatment tech. The strongest great power in this timeline is the relgiious socialist nationalist Holy Russian Empire which spans all of Scandanavia, Eastern Central Europe, Central Asia and is currently fighting vs. an alliance of Sino British corporates

So, if Greenland and Iceland become independent in scenario 1 then by extension so would the Faroe Islands and they'd also be a founding member of the NATU, right? Well, being Faroese myself, I have to say that this is for now my favourite viewer submitted alt-hist scenario.

to add to my earlier post , I think social conservatism will strongly be the norm of a post ww3 1940 scenario world. By 2022 social norms are about similiar to 1970s USA. more conservative in KMT China, the USSR which has formed a rival alliance vs. the USA/BC alliance. its more or less semi friendly rivalry. with some tensions where corporations on both alliances hold a powerful sway on state policy. By 2022, the tech of the 1940 GB peace scenario is higher than our own by say 30 to 50 years. The British commonwealth formerly known as the British empire is more stronger in this timeline, as its like a NATO EU combination the Britain and a parliment of member nations deciding on state policy while the member states have their own domestic parliments , British Pound functions as the currency in the British commonwealth and its also like NATO where there is mutual defense with Britain as the strongest military member state, rivalled by that of India.

I don't think the mongols could push beyond Germany/HRE ,after they fought all the way into Germany, going to France. Yes there is the plane but there is mountains in the south. Italy is hard. Especially with all those casles there. Casles in Europe are much more numerous. There is a highy density of casle walls. Not to mention there is tone of different types. European casles is much more annoying. They are not better, sometimes equal to others. But the casle useage and method is different. That would slow the Mongolias alot and it would cost them tone of soldiers. I am not even sure if they could take all of the HRE states. There is too many castles and walls. It would be like the feeling of ww1 western front. Not to mention there is screat casles too. Not to mention it is not worth it. Byzantium maby (except the capital Constantinople), but western Europe i see no gains but just losesing money. Italy is decent. But after what? It is not woth it anyway. It is too much for what it is worth. Mongolias could not defeat a proper centralized properly lead with smart people like in Egypt or India. In China Song where not fully properly lead. Mongolias also where very focused on them and it was worth it and close by. The leder also wanted a victory for political reasons. That was much later too - Yan Dynasty. It took them a verrrry long time to do so. Golden Horde became Muslim some what, a bit later and all that into Europe would be under Golden Horde control. This us a big factor. Would Russia then raise up? I don't know. It might all become Russia lol. No resonance that is for sure. This would make Ottoman Empire more impactive. Would Ottoman Empire then push beyond Byzantium and Byzantium Bulken ailes land? I don't know. Most likely no. Unless they see it easy. In our time line Ottoman Empire Sultanate push deeper because of the Pope action after they captured Constantinople would forced them to keep fighting North despite it wasn't worth it. In such case Ottoman would control Mediterranean sea almost by tiny part completely. More like Rome. They might try a massive campaign to invade Spain/Iberia. Anyway it means Gunpowder Empires era would continue feather than in ourtime line. So Islam would most powerful region in the world.

The kingdon of England would have more claim on France since while they lose Normandy and southern west France early the English would be able to recapture and annex most of France as they wanted. No hunderd year war or instead the hunderd year war is england vs Mongol controlled france which the English, Castile, and aragon eventually win.

1st scenaro: also the USA is aiding the USSR massively probably been doing massive lend lease to them since 1941. which kept the USSR from collapsing. While the Germans and Italians are having economic depression and political turmoil, the Soviets are not in any shape to take advantage of the situation militarily since they are very much exhausted themselves. I think Stalin will die around the same time hitler dies , of "natural causes", short power struggle and Krushev takes over. While USSR is not part of NAUT, its a strong ally of the USA and USA massively aids USSR get back to its feet with teh Soviet policy of retaking back in lost territory a priority. this means keeping the Americans happy while rebuilding its military to take on the Germans in round 2. also rebuildint its economy. While Britain relinquishes its hold on India, the British empire is still alive and larger. What is different here, is that the USA supports in keeping the British empire intact as a hedge vs. the Germans and Italians. The British fight successful counterinsurgency operations in Malaysia and Indoensia and also aiding the US operations in Indochina , the US and GB are successful in these operations as the insurgents do not have any outside support as the KMT Chinese and Soviets are pro USA and depend on USA aid to rebuild their nations and the Germans and Italians are in a economic depression and poltiical turmoil. Indochina become US dependencies like Puerto Rico and Guam. Korea adn Philippines is a independent Pro USA state. India becomes a British dominion and given home rule like Canada, Austalia , New Zealand. due to the massive US losses in operation downfall along with most Japanese infrastructure destroyed , Japan is ont given independence post war, it becomes a USA dependency and ruled by US administrators. Later in the 90s , Japan opts to become a US state. After intense US pressufre on the Soviets, Manchuria is given back to China in 1946. after the Soviets thoroughly loot the place. the Soviets however are allowed to keep the Kuriles and Sakhalin. British explode the atom bomb in 1952. Germans and Italians are suffering much economic and political turmoil , the Soviets with American and British support heavily support partisans in occupied USSR and Eastern Europe. which is much undermining the economic exploitation of the occupied territories and causes the economic situation of the Germans and Italians to get worse. The collapse of the Italian and French economies and the deaths of mussolini and Petain in the early 1950s. cause massive unrest and revolution aided by support from USA, USSR and GB. Himmler wins the power struggles purges Goering, and reacts with an invasion of France and Italy. The British and Americans move into the French and and Italian colonies in the middle east and Africa in the name of peace keeping and denying them to the Germans. Germans are also trying to develop the atom bomb but with some progress but they dont have access to the uranium needed to make them. as the US and British have control of French and Italian coloinies in Africa. and the Spanish have appeared to have asked for British and American assistnace. US and British troops enter Spain adn Portugal to support them vs. the Germans, Himmler is terified of the US and British due to both having nukes and do not want war with them, USA USSR and British are taking good advantage in putting the screws on Germany. with the view on ending the German threat. WW3 occurs in the late 50s with the threat of the Germans getting close to a nuke bomb, Soviets British and Americans attack the Germans preceded by the use of nukes on German cities. WW3 ends in a year or two. with the collapse of the German gov. post war. Post ww3 1960s USA is the strongest most dominant political and economic power in the world. Later there are tensions with the Britiish empire , KMT China and the USSR(which has become a authoritarian but socialist capitalist state similiar to China in OTL), but its a friendly rivalry. the wrold of 2022, is very different than OTL. as the four major power blocs: USA, British commonwealth, Chinese and Soviet. all have a more or less friendly rivalry with the aims of space colonization adn tech advancement. Space race starts later in the 1970s but the rapid is a bit more rapid. By 2022, There are colonies on mars , Moon asteroids being mined. space stations habitats and expeditions to venus , and other planets in the solar system, USA is still the largest economy in the world and the US miltiary still the most powerful but its being rivalled by the other powers . Corporations have also become powerful and with strong influence. stronger than OTL.
