What if CHRISTMAS CHARACTERS Were POWER RANGERS?! (Story & Speedpaint) 

Thanks once more to Finn for the awesome idea! As an addition to what I said in the video, here are some more tips for how to make it more likely to get an idea picked (again, these are still no guarantee as there are many factors I consider): 1. Make it a short and sweet pitch! I’m going through comments as fast as I can to get to as many people as possible, so I don’t make the time to re-read giant paragraphs if they’ve been posted multiple times before, I’ll just re-read the first sentence or two. 2. Pitch just one idea, your best one! Same reasoning as before, the first time you post a big list I’ll skim through the whole thing, but every time after I’m only re-reading the first idea in the list 3. Individual topics are more likely to be picked than full ideas. Crazy4aDay had pitched the idea of doing anything with ‘Phobias’ and that gave me room to come up with Phobias as Demons. 4. Remember that I’m doing my best to take ideas from the thousands of comments I get each week while also working in my own original ideas. Even if you have an amazing idea, it’s always competing with tons of other ideas I’m considering making. 5. If it's a topic you think there’s a good chance I’ve never heard of, consider providing one, easy to learn from link that could help me quickly understand the basics of the topic, whether that be a video, wiki page or whatever! I have to do a fair amount of research, usually in my free time, for new topics so the easier you make it for me to learn about, the more likely it will get done! 6. Re-emphasizing this from the video, try to pitch ideas you think a lot of people in this audience will find interesting. If your pitch is an obscure show I’ve never seen anyone else request, it’s very unlikely to get picked as I’ll be skeptical that many other people will enjoy seeing its characters turned into something else. Though keep in mind, I hadn’t seen anyone else pitching Phobias, but I knew most people had a base level understanding of what Phobias were, so it got picked despite having only one person requesting it.

Ok I gotta be fully honest,Jack’s was definitely the best ranger costume,the hoodie is just so clever,and with Krampulsa being the Rita Rupulsa of this universe was SO CLEVER.

I was not expecting the Pumpkin King to be in this video, nor was I expecting John Mclane to be mentioned in the lore, and I firmly believe them both to be holiday films. What a pleasant surprise. Congrats to Finn for getting his request, and congrats to you for this great story and artwork! Also, bonus points for using the resurrected version of Rita from the Coinless/Drakkon World for Krampulsa.

Using some inspiration from the Rise of the Guardians to make a Power Rangers-themed Christmas episode was a good idea as that movie has some superhero vibes. And using the Grinch as the evil Green Ranger plot was GENIUS!

Really like the story of Kate kills Claus. Really expressed how some of your characters viewed things. I actually hope you do a God of War video next year. Half the characters in Ragnarok were evaluating themselves throughout the story by telling the group what they did in the past and what they are doing now.

My favorite Power Ranger of this episode was Jack from the nightmare before Christmas! That design was so unique, the pose was perfect to the original character and the slender physic was so damn good Popcross! 💯💯💯

Absolutely love the Jacks's designs! They are my favorite Christmas movies of all time and I'm so glad that we have some drawings of them. Also, am I the only one that thinks this guy should make his own comic books with these videos?!?!?! I'm serious!! The stories are so intriguing, the characters are amazing and the artwork just makes it feel like a pitch for an actually character for Marvel or any other comic company! No pressure or anything, just an idea.

This video was absolutely amazing and not just because it dealt with Power Rangers, but it is created by a fellow PopCross Studios community member. This was incredible. I've been a fan of Christmas characters from various media a lot since they always have great designs as well as interesting stories to share, and I've been a HUGE fan of Power Rangers ever since I was a kid because its Power Rangers...enough said. So seeing you turn some of these Christmas characters into Power Rangers is incredible. I especially loved Jack Frost’s and Rita Reupulsa's designs the most. Jack Frost's gives off that determined warrior look to him that's ready to defend the innocent while at the same showing others that you can balance serious stuff with a little bit of fun...plus I love how he still maintains his instantly recognizable and iconic look and I love how you made him the blue ranger since its a perfect fit for him, Jack Skellington’s gives off an ancient entity look that's willing to fight the good fight and shows that while he might look frightening he can be very friendly...plus I love how he rocks the classic black ranger look as well as having a pumpkin icon on said axe, Ghrinch's design gives off that feel of a troubled and lost soul that's willing to show everyone that he's more than just a troubled person as well as wishing to seek redemption and change his ways...plus I really love the red accents since it compliments the green ranger outfit pretty well, Rita Reupulsa's design gives off that feel of a powerful primal entity that's not only powerful in the mystic arst but also manages to strike fear into the hearts of her enemies...plus I don't know why, but for some reason this design for Rita with some Christmas colours just seems to work. This was an amazing video with a new topic...and I like it. I'd love to see you turn some more characters into Power Rangers since I think there is still so much more to tell. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some Power Ranger Monsters as either kaijus, SCPs, Superheroes or as mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these powerful creatures and perhaps even work on a joint project and make a fantasy-mech armour hybrid. For other ideas for using other Power Ranger groups or monsters, I'd suggest looking into any of the Dinosaur themed seasons, Korrag, Necrolai, the Wild Force and Jungle Fury seasons and Zen-Aku since they all have amazing lore and incredible designs for their characters. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. I'm also looking forward to this years annual dumb Christmas themed video this Friday since I really loved last years and I love the fact that both Benny and Champagne will be narrating it...let the hilarious shenanigans begin. This video was fun to watch today during the last few weeks of my recovery period after my jaw surgery, its really been helping me recover along with all the other videos I missed...so thank you. Also this was great way to honor Jason David Frank with this kind of video as way to continue and carry on the Ranger Legacy...he would definitely be proud. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. Also do you think you could do a video we’re you turn Disney princesses into witches. Also could you try something with Apex Legends? P.s.s. Do you think its possible to return to drawing famous characters/superheroes as Mandalorians again. Since The Mandalorian season 3 will be arriving soon, it would be nice to see this series return since it was another one of my favourite series that you did.

Best parts of this video: Zordon Claus' backstory (what a lovely idea - an immortal superhero reinventing himself as a holiday gift-giver) and the idea of John McClane as the Yellow Ranger (maybe you could draw them both in a future episode, please?) And here's a character suggestion for any future takes on this material - Susan Walker from Miracle on 34th Street; maybe she helps the Rangers out somehow even though she's cynical and doesn't believe in Claus or the team, but by the end of the adventure she's convinced and ends up becoming a Ranger herself?

Those look awesome. My favorite was the Grinch personally. I love how you fused Krumpus with Rita Repulsa. That was a stroke of genius. Cool story too. I've actually been watching the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (I started before JDF died), and it got me thinking that it might be interesting if the dragons of Wings of Fire were Power Rangers as well (each arc being their own teams). You don't have to use that idea, but I thought it was an interesting thought.

Not what I was expecting when I saw the Grinch on the thumbnail, but I still thought it was a pretty cool video. Awesome art designs, an entertaining story, and some characters that are indeed Christmas and Winter icons. These are at some of the things you would expect in one of your Christmas videos. Personally I think this would be something The Sharp Gang would be watching on their awesome multiversal big-screen t.v. as one their Christmas specials. I know I keep spamming you and I can’t guarantee that you’ll get to do some of my ideas. I know that you have the real skills to do them as well as the heart and brain to make them interesting. But most of all, I really love your work and enjoy your videos. They give me something to look forward to watch on my really difficult days and seeing my ideas done by an amazing artist like you really make my day. So, as I know this is a long shot but I’m going to keep trying to get you to do my idea for “The Abominable Green Mountain Grouch” even it means after the holidays and the dawn of the new year. That’s how determined I am.

Interesting video. I'm not a huge fan of power rangers, but the art and story were still sweet! Looking forward to the next pokemon as heroes episode and Friday's episode, we haven't heard from Benny or Champagne since October's community redraw, it'll be nice to see them again.

I need a sequel to this real bad! I wanna see Pink Ranger Cindy Lou, maybe even with a Ranger Slayer Variant. You also mentioned McClane Ranger, how would a Ranger look like without those boots? Then there's silly ideas like turning Grinch's dog Max into characters like Commander Cruger or those two Elemental Villains from Overdrive into the Miser Brothers from The Year Without a Santa Claus!

I've got a few more little questions for you before I turn in for the night. 1) In your Helluva Boss variety episode, Vasilia mentioned that her great-uncle was killed by a hydra. It wasn't that same great-uncle of hers Kanuhi Kuznet, who made all those Bionicle armours, was it? 2) What was behind your decision to combine Vi and Caitlyn with Doomfist and Widowmaker in the Overwatch/League of Legends fusion video? I mean, apart from having similar weapons, the characters don't have that much in common, do they? Wouldn't it have made more sense to combine Doomfist and Widowmaker with actual evil characters, such as, say, Darius and Katarina? 3) Will you ever do a follow-up to that Video Game Characters as Power Rangers video? I really want to see Black Ranger Bayonetta and White (or is he Red?) Ranger Kratos.

I'll be honest and say I'm not a fan of the Power Rangers franchise, but I definitely loved this episode today (my favorite design is the Power Rangers version of Jack Skellington). And from what you said near the video's end, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that we'll be delving into a Banter/Variety episode (wonder how adorable it'll be to see Benny and Champagne spending their first Christmas together). And whilst it didn't hit me the same way, I appreciate the positive thought you left us on today. My aspiration in life is to be a storyteller, and I really want to give people a story that will propel me out there, but also give people something that they can look forward to and enjoy. I like how you worked the Green Ranger starting out evil, and making him the Grinch, but he still became good and a hero. This was so cool! I dig this. You should do a power rangers episode for each major holiday like Christmas (obviously) and Halloween. I knew the grinch was in this story cause of course, he “stole Christmas.” But I didn’t expect him to be the “Tommy” of the group. Also, adding Cindy Lou was clever as well, given that she and the grinch had this relationship that changed him. Overall, great work on the story and of course the art. Merry Christmas man. I love this, especially the Jack Frost design! That movie (Rise of the Guardians) was incredible and needs more attention towards it, it just came out at the wrong time. I understand my ideas may never come to fruition in your videos, but I was thinking since Choo Choo Charles came out about 2 weeks ago, it would be interesting to see him as something else, like maybe a villain, superhero, or some type of human hybrid that is in the backrooms. I really liked this video!! Jack's design was definitely my favourite, even if I wasn't expecting him to be in this video. One thing I'd like to see you do is videogame characters (mainly fnaf) as symbiotes. I would especially like to see sun from fnaf with a 14 year old girl host and is friendly, and it would be even cooler if you put them in the multiverse tales series!!! Keep it up!!!

Going into this I thought I wouldn’t really like this episode since it’s power ranger related and I haven’t really seen much power ranger content but surprisingly I really liked it. I loved how the old green ranger was baddy the elf 😂.

I actually really loved this one and I’m not even a big power ranger fan! I’d actually like to see this maybe as a yearly thing for a couple of years where we have new villains pop up related to the other rangers. The sandman for jack f, oogy boogy for jack s, maybe something else for cindy and grinch, idk.
