i saw someone complaining about the story last video saying that it’s just another “izuku suffers for no reason story” but i’m honestly surprised at the fact that they seem to not know what “character development” is especially when you have the main character of the story *izuku* being death suffering is only a small percentage of the price to pay for immortality like what? of course being immortal your going to watch yourself lose loved ones and even worse being death your gonna be the one to send them to the afterlife and that person had the audacity to say “i thought it was gonna be a cool story about izuku having death’s powers and doing cool shit but no it’s nothing but him suffering” yada yada uhh duh the story says what if deku was the grim reaper not what if deku had the grim reaper’s powers what you expect him to go through the story as normal with the only difference being he has the powers of death welp you’re mistaken he is death and that role comes with a f*ck ton of responsibilities and stressful or outright traumatic moments
