The dark side has many abilities some would consider….stupid.

Unlikely, Leia survived because she was close to the ship to get back in time, whereas Palpatine, strength while great would fail before reaching another vessel or the planet/ even if he survived reentry, that's still a long way to fall and most of his strength would have gone, so even if he had made it that far, I doubt he would have the strength to slow his fall, before becoming a red smear on the ground.

@@satsujin-shathewitchkingof6185 If he had the energy left after protecting himself in space and surviving reentry, it could both take a great toll on him. Also he has a long way to go until a survivable atmosphere. I doubt he would have the energy to keep his concentration and energy, which does have a limited span before the body gives up. Hi might make it to the planet but by the time he has used all his energy to survive reentry, even he would not have the strength left to survive that fall. Also, it would look hella Suspect if he did considering he is now officially Died and it is the end of that plan. even if he made it into a friendly ship, a com message would go out and start raising lots of questions.

Exactly, Grievous always was a faithful apprentice to Dooku and never disobeyed him nor tried to overthrow him. Grievous was his best apprentice and a military genius. Dooku would have used him as long as he could

@@valou-scaling Dooku even hesitated when Palpaptine told Dooku to kill Ventress. Dooku probably would've betrayed Palpatine right there on the spot if he was able to defeat Sidious in his current state. Dooku's plans for betraying Sidious weren't complete though, he most likely felt it was too risky and he'd loose everything including Ventress anyways as well.

Anakin would get spared wondering why the other Jedi are getting killed

Especially since he had contact with the kaminoians in the past

And considering that by most accounts the separatists were winning (without sidious's interfering) he prolly could have won the war

That might work. If we go back to Tales of the Jedi, Windu was appointed to the Jedi Council while Dooku was snubbed. What if it had been the other way around? Could that have been the start of Windu growing disillusioned with the Jedi Order?

⁠​⁠@@wonderquestorYep like maybe Windu in Dooku's role ends up becoming Palpatine's apprentice and leads the CIS, Separatists and droid army instead during the time of Attack Of The Clones, Clone Wars and Revenge Of The Sith while Dooku in Windu's role would become Master Of The Order second to Yoda himself with a seat on the Jedi Council.

What If Rahm Kota trained him and Palpatine trained Starkiller instead of making him a Darth. Sounds interesting then Starkiller would fight him probably and then Anakin would convince him to join him as a Jedi.

I agree with you 100% Alot of people do not realize that by this point Dooku was very much evil. He was originally just disillusioned with the republic and jedi, but by the time of the clone wars Dooku was 100% a sith. If Dooku had the chance he would definitely try to kill Sidious.
