My headcanon for why Soup Molly is happy is because she can create food, and so she isn't as reliant on working tirelessly and making money to put food in her family's plate. She could make all kinds of various soups for them, and maybe that, since an epithet's powers are based on the user's interpretation of the word, maybe Molly can revert her soups into the base ingredients that make said soups and use those to make something else than soup because they don't want to just eat soup all the time obviously. And you can put a lot of various things in soup. Maybe she could even make soups with any ingredients, including ones that don't work as a soup but it doesn't matter because she just wants to revert these ingredients and then make something else. So that's why I think Molly is happy here. As for Giovanni, I don't need to explain how the power to be completely silent is useful to a thief. And him acting like a cool ninja is very in character.

Yeah if they swapped powers it would be greatly beneficial to both of them. Molly would still have a *ton* of issues at home, but at the very least she can keep herself fed with her Epithet and she can basically removing cooking time from her schedule. It wouldn't fix her home life but at the very least she'd get more of a reprieve than she does now. Giovanni on the other hand now has an ability that is great for break ins and various other crimes. Surely this will end well.
To be honest, since Giovanni is in his Banzai suit for most of the story, I didn’t know what else to change other than his hair to reflect his new powers. Thanks for the compliments 😊
Awesome, I think this is a cool consept. I can see a lot of comedy gold coming from the fact that Giovanni has dumb as an EPiTHET because he is so loud. Love the art, I am looking for people who can replicate the EPiTHET art for my fan series let me know if you are interested.
i know molly is happier in this au, cuz hey food! but, uh, i wonder if its a good idea for her to have a heat-based power considering her fire phobia, and worse having to use it to make a living for her family and to cook. while she has a smile, i feel its also an act and she's even more numb than in canon, just with a constant customer service smile.
These are great designs. The food bits in Molly’s hair is probably my fav detail but I do love Edgy Ninja Giovanni. My only critique would be Molly’s palms. People with dark skin have much lighter colored palms. But otherwise it’s really good work!
So in this universe Giovanni wants to look cool and broody because of his epithet literally being dumb people insult but never notice the skills he has
