Smh. Hate after hate. Toxicity after toxicity. It is honestly depressing about the lack of views on a solid Sequel Rewrite - that is beyond frustrating, because people see “Sequel” and decide it’s bad even though they know what Pente normally make and which CREATOR this is. That right there is some absolute bs. As someone who WATCHED all of Pente's videos, you should give a video a chance instead of PRESUMING you would hate it because it has Sequel Trilogy characters and stop complaining and enjoy the video like wtf man. We should be glad that we are getting anything instead of nothing at all.

you know, I rather enjoy sequel fan writing. More often than not, it provides a means through which I can have a more satisfying story than what disney's trilogy ever gave us.

@@Spartan135 I blame not having a single Head Writer/Director to helm all three projects. Allowing the team for Episode 8 to kill off the Big Bad sent the team for Episode 9 into Panic Mode and grasping at straws. We all know the infamous line by now. I am not going to repeat it.

I can get behind this. We all thought it was going to be finn anyway when the trailers first came out, and from a story perspective it makes sense. Storm trooper can't follow imperial rule any longer with the first order, leaves, but finds himself on the journey to becoming a Jedi to discover himself, his abilities and redeem himself if to no one else, to himself for his past actions as a trooper.

Finn could've arguably been one of the best SW characters period if they just told his story correctly. But no, they made him from a character with the most potential to a shell of himself by the end of it.

When i first saw the trailer to the Force Awakens, I presumed that Finn was force sensitive. It feels like such a shame that Disney hyped him up to be an important character, however he was just a supporting character throughout the movies. Thanks for doing him justice.

Fun fact: he is force sensitive and was supposed to get proper training under laia while Rey got training from Luke. But they decided to scrap that even though they already dropped hints. XD

What if jango lived and tried to reunite mandalore, marking them a third faction in the clone wars, like say he did everything up to the creation of the clone army (and would just come back to give more dna and get paid) he’d have boba and just focus on mandalore space It’d be interesting as he’s not as brutal as vizla or passive as Satine and he had a legit right to the throne as he was mandalore during the civil war he just quit after it was over

I have to be honest, because of my distain for the Disquel I almost didn't watch this what if, but there are so many good stories on this channel that I decided to give it a watch and like. There are so many that could have done a better post Original Trilogy, Trilogy than what we got, and I would say that this story is among those that could have done better than what we got.

This is what we needed. So much was built with advertising Finn with a lightsaber and the fact he never actually became a Jedi in the sequels is just sad. I really wanted him to be a Jedi.

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to see in the Disney trilogy, Finn the ex-stormtrooper becoming the Jedi Knight of this generation. But nope, Disney saw fit to give us Rey "Mary Sue", whiny Goth kid that wants to imitate Darth Vader and other characters I'd rather forget they ever existed.

I never liked the third trilogy. Rey seemed too much like a marry sue to me, a decent power fantasy. Though I blame my dislike with this trilogy on bad writing (not bad acting) and what they did to Luke. Finn was my favorite character, so much potential and the most believable of them all. I still remember watching the first of the new trilogy thinking that Finn should be the main character.

In the first movie you could reasonably see how Rey won, in the second that was pushing it though a powerful force user isn't unheard of, movie three everything finally fell apart.

Poe made the right call in the movie. That dreadnought needed to be destroyed no matter what. He was also following the plan given to him to destroy it. If high command really did want to order a withdrawal they would have sent the order to the rest of the pilots after Poe refused to back down.

This is the first time I've remotely cared about the "Canon" plot of the ST, and I commend you, sir. Who knew that if you stopped hyperfocusing on Rey and everything she could do, and actually gave the characters that you're portraying the proper respect and intelligence that they're owed, it'd make for a more enjoyable and dynamic story. Especially when those characters are war veterans like those of the Resistance command and Luke. Seriously, there is so much behind the scenes commentary with Mark Hamil just getting absolutely spiritually destroyed by the choice to make Luke a sour, bitter old man that closed himself off from the Force. Mark himself said in interviews that he told "the director that shall not be named" that it wasn't in Luke's character to wallow in failure, but to acknowledge that he made a mistake, take some time to recalibrate and come back at it again. And that's just one of the most egregious examples. Giving the characters the respect that they're owed and letting them be intelligent, as well as respecting the lore of the world and using it, instead of tossing it aside makes for a much more enjoyable plot. There was too much mindless mimicry in the ST, which is, hilariously, a meta-commentary in this very video for those looking for it. "You will never be strong by immitating the successes of the past" is very applicable to the ST as well as Kylo. Good freaking job, Pente! I salute your creativity and knowledge, and your ability to write a damn good story!
