With these borders, the French easily flanked the Italians and made reaching Rome way easier which made them capitulate easier and without the Italians help, the French could focus all of their forces to the Germans making it much harder for Germany to beat them

Great points in the replies here. I would also add that the Germans were pretty much completely boxed in after the lightning speed collapse of the Italians. No Mediterranean, and the Germans didn't have enough momentum to slam into France since the BeNeLux doesn't exist (in HoI4, the French refuse to put any units on the Belgian border until after Belgium has fallen, inherently making a German breakthrough in the north 99% guaranteed. But with no Belgium, the French AI can immediately engage in battles with the Germans, which tricks the French AI into putting more units on the Rhine border 🤓)

One of the main reasons France lost in 1940 is that Belgium was supposed to build the end of the maginot line. It didnt.

France bankrolled project of building defensive line on German-Belgium border, but later closer to the war beggining Belgium declared neutrality. And Frabce didn't time and money to do something

I think that such a big France would not go into Allies. It would not be useful for her. There is another event which can be fired, France guaranteeing Czechoslovakia without the UK, which creates a separate french alliance. But great vid nonetheless
