This version of Fuel is not about drag racing, it's about road rage! I think most songs on St Anger are brilliant, if only people saw what's going on behind the snare, I believe the snare makes the songs sound more aggressive

Honestly one of the best mashups you've ever done. Most people go overboard with making their St. Anger style songs sound intentionally ugly, but you're 100% accurate with both the plus & negatives of Metallica's early 2000's style.

I was never a big fan of the original fuel, but I actually really really like this. Vocals sound weird, but not much you can do when the guitars are downtuned

Well done! Definitely interesting. Basically taking one of their most sonically polished albums and swapping it onto their worst produced. The reworking of the structures is one of the aspects that really sets you apart from straightforward 'production swapping'.

You REALLY capture the spirit of St.Anger (a VERY important album, to me.) while ALSO maintaining the FIRE of Fuel's spirit. You've REALLY got a knack Mercury. I admire the way you go about these what if tunes! AND! Your video on AJFA tone was GREAT and I IMMEDIATELY produced an AJFA like tone FOR FREE that I was rather pleased with :D Keep up the great work!

I'm digging this and glad that you're 'experimenting' with other album cross-overs. This is top-notch reimagination... and very accurate! While St Anger is the weakest of their albums I am still a fan and think it would have been a great if the songs were trimmed and had solos. I love metal and hard rock so for me it would have been cool. For pure metalheads it would still be a hard no tho ;)

Gotta say, this sounds absolutely amazing!!! - and that makes it not fully work :') you could have made it sound a bit worse, like snare a bit louder and worse sounding... it would have been more in line with what was on St. Anger. Love it man, better than original Fuel to me which is way too cheesy. People like to shit on St Anger but if any other band had made that album they'd be calling it visionary and trailblazing, same with Load/Reload tbh. SA was lo-fi, raw, gritty, grungy and savage, a genuinely unique sound that I haven't heard anywhere else, and it shows how ballsy and original a band they are that they can create a sound like that, put it out, and decide to never go that way again, just like Load/RL. So what if it isn't like Justice or Master? The only problem is half the songs were about 25-30% longer than they should have been. BUT NO SOLOS, who gives a fuck Hamm's been past his best for almost 30 years, Het's now coming up to his fifth decade of creating crushing riffs.
