It's pretty unrealistic for a peace treaty to be like that. It's way too harsh over something like an Archduke dying that the Entente just wouldn't allow.
Got a question about how do you make Timelapses in hearts of iron like do you choose a random South American country and film the entire thing without doing anything or is there a mod or stuff and vid idea: ottomans stayed neutral during ww1
this world is about to see some German musician steamrolling Europe using brilliant rocketkrieg and helicopter assisted encirclement tactics in the seventies👀
i wonder how germany lost knowing that since they were neutral they could still improve their army during the first world war and the time until the second one
Japan wouldn’t have to attack Pearl Harbour. In real life, Japan faced sanctions after gaining French Indochina, to stop its expansion in Southeast Asia. However, Japan wasn’t provided Indochina in this scenario, which means Entente sanction would not be applied
If german say...i don't care Austria 😂 And I'm surprised Russia was able to remain stable and not explode for that long And that's kinda weird when America joins the war for no reason
Presumably the alternate timeline would've buffed Russia. Russia would've had another 20+ years to industrialize, modernize, and experience population growth (IRL German Empire feared this and desired and earlier war with Russia to prevent it) and wouldn't have experienced the Stalinist purges as it did prior to our timeliness WW2, meaning a greater abundance of competent command staff.
I don't see why Romania would join the entente in the war. They already had Transylvania and had a German aligned king, unlike Hungary (most likely) so if anything they would probably join the war to get bessarabia and maybe a bit more of Banat from serbia. Also, i dont see why you assumed that this alternate ww1 would be like WW2 in that all of the participants would go to the very last stand. The russian revolution would still difinatley happen and france would still probably surrender without all of its nation being taken lol
That German-aligned king died in October 1914 and his successor made a pretty big deal of putting Romania first before any ties to Germany. Any ideas of Romania being a good little unthinking pseudo-vassal doing that goosestep in the Kaiser's wake are a vast misjudgement of Romania's new leadership. They'll be acting in their own interests regardless of if those happened to coincide with German interests anyway.
Reasons I think of : Americans thinking of Britain during their revolution, Japanese empire wants to expand its influence in Asia and British and French colonial PPL can't tolerate the regime
France in this timeline wouldn't be like in our timeline's 1940. Our France became complacent after winning WW1 and so largely stopped developing its strategy and tactics, figuring that static defence and big fortifications would win the day for it again if Germany ever bothered to start another war. This timeline's France, which never experienced WW1 at all, would still presumably be the competitive, revanchist, force of 1914-1918 which was (practically speaking) the most impactful Entente land power. You'd have a France still bitter at Germany for the Franco-Prussian war and determined to match or outdo Germany's developments in every respect. Less willing to surrender & more capable/modern on the frontlines.
The idea that Belgium was what pushed the UK to join is a myth, they considered supporting the Entante before, and only used Belgium as an excuse and to motivate volunteers.
