I thought it was crazier turn National-Socialism actually socialist (with Goebbels and his National-Marxism), but it does the same crazy stuff the Otl nazism did.
A legit Mongolian here, Baron von Sternberg is probably one of the most influential figures in 20th century Mongolian history. He definitely could have ended up in this kind of situation as in Kaiserreich, so mad props for the devs. But the Mongolian transliteration is atrocious tho.
The reason is mongolians (speacially tribes) were mostly relatives so when they conquerd any land they would kill the men and rape the crap out of the women and thats how most of central asia has mongolian genes
This was pretty fun! Did you know Pax Brittanica came out? I think you should definitely do a video on it. It's another mod where the US never won the Revolutionary war. It also is just insane and you'd probably love it.
@@CA3SAR5ALAD no that was the failed revolution. Pax Brittanica is a different mod. One thing that makes it different is it has strange ahistorical tech development such as AT-ST looking things instead of tanks, and generally has a deiselpunk vibe.
Playing as the Mongols is so fun, I love the crazy cavalry buffs they get. I literally just played with a massive army of cavalry and destroyed everyone.
I love how the "gravy babies" intro started as a joke and now has been implimented into the normal HOI-4 video, just like the way ISP talked was a joke at first. Too bad we are all jokes for watching his content.
Microsoft demanded I do a Windows Update just to get this video to pop up Also still waiting for the day ISP goes back to Old World Blues, cause unlike KR, it doesn't run like its an asthmatic in a marathon
ISP, i dont care what you record, ill still watch it, i dont even play most of the games you play, in fact, i LOVE stellaris where you dont :) Just keep doing what you are doing
I don't know if this exists but if there's a mod for the Tai Ping Rebellion for this game, could you play as the guy who thought he was Jesus's brother. Just a humble request from a madman, my brother in Christ.
I am a mongol and i am proud, that you have made the right decision to return mongolia to its rightful place. mongol uls dilkhiin ezin baikh yostai. Sadly i don't have a kyrillic keyboard. And mongolia should probably be a khaganate not a khanate as Chingis was actually a khagan not a khan. One more think to add, wtf is a foreigner doing in the position of khan in mongolia?
Durning the Russian civil war the “Mad Baron” invaded Mongolia to help secure its independence form China and gain support for the White Russians. Long story short, white Russia loses he stays in power as a kinda regret of Mongolia, the soviets invade and kill him and the nobles supporting him and installed the communist government that ruled for the next 50 years.
"wtf is a foreigner doing in the position of khan in mongolia?" Look up Roman von Ungern-Sternberg, crazy Russian general who fought for the whites and tried to reestablish the Mongol Empire. IRL he was captured in battle against the reds and executed, in Kaiserreich althistory he survives and continues to do Mad Baron stuff. Though I think actual Kaiserreich's Mongolia tree is a lot more reasonable, Kaiserredux usually has the silliest/most ridiculous options.
@@daroaminggnome He didn't want a Mongol Empire, that's basically just a myth. Though he freed Mongolia from Chinese rule, he was at his core a monarchist and fought to restore the Russian Tsardom.
I’m surprised Mongolians don’t know about him. Basically, Mongolia was part of China for a few hundred years. In 1911 they revolted but the revolt was put down by Nationalist troops. Towards the end of the Russian Civil War, as China itself was falling apart, Roman Von Ungern Sternburg, a Russian Baltic German born in Austria, invaded with a smaller white force as the Whites were getting kicked out of Siberia by the reds. Everyone else was fleeing to Manchuria and settling in places like Hong Kong, Australia or America and he was settling in Mongolia. He somehow managed to defeat the Chinese troops and he took over Mongolia. He had always been fascinated by Steppe peoples and this made him really popular among the steppe peoples he recruited for his wars. In Mongolia he went through some insanity, but it was now firmly independent. He decided to re invade Russia, thinking that Red support had diminished, but he failed and then the Soviets attacked Mongolia, kicking him out and taking over both Mongolia and Tannu Tuva, which had been part of Mongolia. So he’s more or less responsible for the modern independent Mongolia. If he hadn’t don’t what he did Mongolia would probably be part of China.
memories of the mod's lead asking me from time to time to make a new version of Ungern's Portrait The OG one, the russian miltary one, the bandaged one, the tsar one and the Khan one (which is honestly one of my best)
I mean the empire at 9:00 looks hefty thicc, but it also seems like the paper tiger to end all paper tigers, with absolutely garbage land and demographics, almost SELECTIVELY avoiding the good stuff. It can only get worse if you make some cursed confederation of Northern Canada, Landlocked Outbackistan, and the Penguin Commune of Antarctica.
RIP Gilbert. The fact someone got a cameo out of it just because Braun decided to mindlessly scream "IWO JIMA" is spectacular. Going to miss Digit, thank you for the childhood.
If you wanna learn more about Baron von Ungern-Sternberg, you gotta listen to the Lions Led By Donkeys episodes about the man. My dude was an utter lunatic in more ways any HOI4 mod could ever depict, for Steam Workshop ToS reasons alone.
Can you do a video about the Total war Attila "Medieval Kingdoms 1212" Modpack. It is very fun to play (unlike the base game) and remembers hardly on a Total war Medieval 2 just Newer and better.
The mod DFBMA can be fun, it essentially adds a number of smaller countries together in South America and Asia and overall just improves playing for countries without a major focus tree. Also makes you able to go both paths of an army doctrine and get navy doctrine far more easily.
I was playing base-game HOI4 yesterday, no mods, and the Germans steamrolled over the USSR and one of the states that came of it was the: ‘Great Buryat-Mongol Yuan Successor State’ Yeah.
