I think this would've been fantastic. It would've helped make the HP world less reductionist and more realistic - real people aren't as straightforward as she writes them (which is why her best characters are the morally gray ones). Excellent video, Brett!

I will also never not be upset that in the last book, there were only banners of three houses in the Room of Requirement. There should have been four. Some Slytherins should have ended up in the DA. And Ginny being Sorted into Slytherin would have been a perfect way to ultimately make that happen in the final book. Oh well.

I think a lot of the weasley kids can probably be written as going into Gryphindor due to Family pressure/ fear of their mother. Bill maybe Ravenclaw, Percy Ravenclaw for sure, The Twins Slytherdors so Slytherin, but I think Charlie Ron and Ginny are true Gryphindors. Ginny's grandmother on father's side was a slytherin

Im not sure about the twins in Slytherin. Maybe Ravenclaw because of how they made all sorts of magical prank items and managed to run.a business, but Slytherin doesn't fit them.

In this alternate reality with Ginny in Slytherin, the silver trio (Ginny, Neville and Luna) could’ve been known as the inter house trio Ginny (Slytherin) Neville (Gryffindor) Luna (Ravenclaw)

i honestly feel like Harry and Ginny would get together around the same time mainly due to the fact that the sorting hat almost put Harry in Slytherin so there'd be a little bit of a solidarity or understanding or something there

another thing that would change is in the cursed child (yeah, I know, bringing that up) albus likely won't be as angsty about being in Slytherin, as his mother was also in that house.

Instead of a trio I always felt like it was supposed to be 4 of them. One from each house. You would have hary in slitherin you would have Hermione in raven claw Ron in griffindor And Neville as a hufflepuff To form the next generation of the marauders.

I think if Ginny was sorted into Slytherin, she would be made Slytherin prefect instead of Pansy Parkinson I also see a Slytherin Ginny becoming the Quidditch captain of their house team

I think the Wizarding World could use more good Slytherins and bad characters from other houses, there are only a handful of good characters in Slytherin and bad characters from outside of Slytherin.

She would have been thought to be the heir of slytherin, as well. I'm pretty sure everybody would have thought her and Harry would make a perfect match because he speaks parsaltongue. This is a missed opportunity. JK totally should have made Ginny be a Slytherin.
