As an extensive ot8 collector, what I always like to recommend to people who are interested in even the idea of collecting ot8 is starting with the current era (and how perfect timing is it that ATE is happening now), but start with the current era with the goal of collecting ot8 and assess how it went. Did you enjoy it anymore than you did just collecting Chan? Did you find it challenging with trading for who you were missing? Did you feel overwhelmed? If you felt okay, maybe start to look in the last few eras cards cause they will be the cheapest and figure out how hunting down those cards make you feel and if you feel okay. If you feel overwhelmed, maybe you just collect ot8 forward. If you felt okay only up until a certain era, maybe that's where the cut off is. For example, if you were finding enjoyment and ease with cards up until Levanter, but are struggling with Yellowwood, maybe you just do Chan up until then and then all ot8 forward. It seems like you are set with just keeping Chan as your main collection and keeping your pulls, but that is my best recommendation if you ever feel that itch again! Ot8 is definitely a commitment, but can be fun if you do it smart and strategic. Happy collecting this era!! ^^
Wow as a newly STAY this helped me a lot as well. There’s been a lot of albums in the past and awoke lot to come. It’s definitely going to be hard saving for all of this haha but for SKZ it’ll definitely be worth it ❤

I'm an ot8 collector, and honestly it became more of a chore than anything else. I had a year where I just didn't actively collect photocards because I wasn't getting the joy I used to get from having new photocards enter my collection. If you ever were to collect ot8, just focus on favorite sets. Diving head first into collecting every set becomes overwhelming so fast 😭
i just needed to make this to put it in perspective because my brain said no but my heart was begging me to just TRY and i needed to shut it up haha. i think i've figured out a way to collect more, without making it overkill or getting in the way of anything else, but yeah.. i don't think i'd be happy doing ot8 in the end.. probably... lol thank you so much for your input! i love listening to ot collectors to see if they would recommend it, because if the people doing it say no, they're probably right!
Just having that many sets for one era and it only being album pcs gives me palpitations lol. Loved the bunny intermission. I mean that information is interesting and the fact that you thought differently is funny but it was enjoyable. I mean I could never take on collecting OT# for any group because I know it would be more of a hassle and I want to still enjoy collecting and not commit to that. I mean I only collect vmin and I stopped back collecting because it was just making sad. That’s why I just only chose to collect Yeonjun because I like how I curated his collection. I just watch others people collections that collect OT#. Maybe you could do one set you really like for each era to fill in the void? Now how long did it take for you put all that back together
i've thought about doing a set or two each era, but my past tells me that once i start, i won't be able to stop so the only way to not go overboard is to not stop without strict, strict rules that i can't break hahah. (i figured out a rule, that's working so far but i'm not sure how long it'll last 🫠) it took me over half an hour to put everything back, and at midnight, that felt like forever 😭
i did! there's no pcs left in any of my albums and that's why i was so confused?? maybe i'll go through one more time justin case but i flip through them regularly and NOTHING 😥
I collect ot8 but I keep it random and fun... I collect whatever I like/ available/ affordable. Enjoy the uniqueness of your selective collection and don't let it become a stressful chore❤
definitely! i think i've found a new rule for this collection where i can only get pcs if they are $1 without fees and so far it's been a much more fun game to play than taking this collection so seriously when i don't have to because i already in love with the layout i have now with just collecting chan. thank you so much!

This was very enjoyable. AdmittedlyI was snickering at you having these dilemmas but I believe I already told you this wasn't a good idea. Especially with you being a HWA collector. But also I noticed that you carefully select what you want to keep which is also good. I think what you said at the end is very important. Looking at other people's collections and thinking you can do the same but remember everyone's circumstances are different. And honestly SKZ and ATZ have too many cards so that right there should tell you not to commit. I'm really glad you came to this conclusion though. Sometimes we just need to face reality and especially if we want to see our faves in person then PC collecting shouldn't be a priority. I know it's hard but even as completionists the amount of cards should make us think twice. Cute bunny interruption too. 😅

I absolutely love collecting ot8 for their Korean album cards but, I CANNOT collect ot8 for anything else. the only sets I have ot8 of are some of their non-album stuff bc I buy the actual merch like season's greetings, fan kits, etc. but for pobs, Japanese, and other non-album I only collect chan. if I could financially collect ot8 of everything, I would. im honestly surprised at my progress of the earlier eras in my collection. and I am proud of the progress !! but it can be very overwhelming for a lot of ppl including myself. but it is fun for me to complete different sets, especially their earlier eras. but if you still happen to have that itch to collect ot8, maybe collect ot8 for the most recent era and see how it goes. but I also love the setup you have going on atm as well!! especially as a chan bias ^^
thank youuuuu! i feel like buying albums for the earlier eras is easier to get the right pulls than looking for cards, so i definitely understand. i love how curated your collection looks, but i also know that the start is the hardest part because you're so far away which is the worst part unless you can change your mindset about it which is fair. i know it's just for fun but i need to calm down and just admire other ot8 collections like yours and be okay with it, hahaha. chan biases know best!

Wow 🤩 $4.3k is what I need to fix my car haha. I’m a new STAY, I got into them in April of this year. They are the only K-pop band I’ve ever truly invested my time in. I’v listened to other bands before but never actually dug deeper into getting to know them like SKZ. I want to start collecting their photo card, I bought their pre-order ATE Album, and I’m super excited 😆 this video has helped me a lot so I’ll have to take my time in collecting their cards/albums old and new!! you can either buy specific cards you want online or you buy a physical album and they come with photocards. with albums though you aren’t guaranteed a specific member
i love this for you!!! stray kids are so fun and easy to love and it's just like stepping into a brand new world with them. the other comment pretty much covered it but i always recommend starting with buying albums if you're interested and you get a random photo card of a member! the thrill of the unknown makes it so fun!!
