Here are few ideas: What if Elements answered to Gul'dan and he would become Shaman? What if Horde won the battle of Blackrock? What if Quel'thalas didn't fall to the scourge?
1) Guldan would have returned enlightened and prouder back to his village and be regarded among the wisest. But again Kil'Jaden would take advantage of his lust for more recognition and power and again Guldan would take his offer and become a warlock. (Our timeline Guldan was a shaman and then became a warlock) 2) The remaining Alliance forces would be prisoners or retreat to Lordareon. The Horde would still be weak because a large portion of the army was after Guldan. Orgrim would either go after Guldan himself, leaving him open to the Alliance, or he would attempt an assult on Lordareon. Due to his army not being very large the assult would prove costly and he will not continue to other Alliance cities but rather he would rebuild Lordareon as his own and start deffending. Because of that: no prisons for orcs, no Thrall, no new Horde and many more things that I am too bored to right. 3) Kel'Thuzad would not be revived, no one could summon Archimonde, a counter attack would begin to reclaim lost lands from the Scourge, Illidan would still be imprisoned, Arthas would go to Icecrown to merge with Ner'Zhul to be able to save the Scourge from anhialation, Dalaran would stil be intact and they would imidiatly dispatch forces to deal with the scourge before the threat grows bigger, the High Elves would stil be part of the Alliance and now they would take the mantle of the leader as they are at full power, they rejoin with the Night Elves, the Alliance becomes dominat across Azeroth, no Sylvanas, no Forcaken, Malfurion wouldn't wake up, Cenarius would be alive, the orcs can't defeat the Night Elves without demon blood, Jaina warns the Alliance troops about the Horde, the Horde eventualy surrenders to avoid absolute defeat and become prisoners and again many more things Hope you liked that, sorry for the long post, here's a smily face :D
+bononoz2 dont forget guldan was a shaman before he became a warlock, but then Kil'Jaden saw his lust for power and made him betray Ner'Zhul and corrupt the Orcs, in our timeline at least.
My "What if" list. -What if Tyrande fell in love with Illidan instead of Malfurion? -What if Garrosh declined Cairne's Mak'gora request? -What if Durotan and Draka survived the assassination? -What if Ragnaros can be redeemed? -What if Uther wore the crown of the Lich King instead of Bolvar? -What if Gul'dan became a shaman? and finally -What if Neltharion didn't use the Demon Soul?
The Gul'dan as a Shaman one is the only thing that would probably have had any real impact, Illidan was always a 'the means are justified based on the end' kind of person it wasn't the rejection of Tyrande that made him that way. Garrosh's Mak'gora wouldn't have changed much either, the fact that he was challenged at all simply showed that the horde didn't trust him in general which was still the case after the mak'gora because of the poison. Thrall would've still been separated from his parents so realistically not much would've changed. I dunno wtf you mean by redeeming ragnaros. The new Lich King hasn't exactly done much so I'm not sure it would have mattered who took the mantle, hell Varian himself could've and it wouldn't really matter except for losing Varian sooner. Neltharion's corruption took place before the creation of the demon soul, so even if he hadn't used it he still would've fallen to corruption.
Their fight was not to the death. Cairne only had died because he was struck by a poisoned Gorehowl because Magatha Grimtotem had tempered with it before the honor fight. When the fight is not to the death, the fight will stop after the first blow. Cairne would have lived, Garrosh would remain Warchief, but the Bloodhoof would feel like their honor had been sullied. They would either continue to interfere with Garrosh's plans or Cairne would have respected Garrosh's strength and dexterity and would not have interfered after their honor fight. If Cairne had slain Garrosh by accident and became Warchief, he would feel burdened by the accidental death of his leader. Their fight was never meant to involve death. Cairne Bloodhoof would have become Warchief and kept the truce that Cairne had fought for in the Barrens with Theramore. Without intense fighting, Pandaria would have never been discovered and a future of prosperity would ensue. Garrosh would have also never been able to time travel to AU Draenor so Gul'dan would not be here and neither would the Legion. Damn, that's a big change in lore.
20 minutes feels like a good length, but I'll be able to tell fully after a couple of days of reading through tons of comments. Like with the Arthas video, I did have to cut out a good handful of things from this one, but I'm happy with how it turned out. If people would like the episodes to be even longer though, I'll be happy to add more. Arthas' was 15 minutes, this one is 20, so the next could be 25.
No this is fucking fake god made this nixxiom found his shit and sniff it and got the idea as he now rips god off stealing his shit once keemstar sees this this will be utube bitch
I kind of wish these went further into the future than just after the War of the Satyr. The aftermath of this could have dire affects on Azeroth. Illidan killing Malfurion would stop him from ever entering the Emerald Dream for all those years, he would never contain the corruption of the Nightmare within the Rift of Aln, and that could result in what we see in Val'sharah happening much sooner, as well, if Illidan never became a Demon Hunter, he would never have had the power to defeat Tichondrius in the forest that became Felwood, possibly damning the entire Night Elven race to death, to go even further, Illidan would never have gone to Outland, or sided with Vashj and Kael, Magtheridon would continue a tyrannical rule over Outland, possibly establishing a large enough army to wipe out the peaceful races of Outland, the Mag'har, the Kurenai, and the remnants of the Sons of Lothar. If this came to pass, Garrosh would have been killed, he would have never become Warchief and the events of Mists of Pandaria would have never even happened, as well as Warlords of Draenor, and because Gul'dan from Alternate Draenor kicked off Legion, the Legion would not have been able to invade through the Tomb of Sargeras. but that's just purely speculation
Illidan's emerald eyes were a sign of great druidic potential and destiny. He threw all that away since the way of the druid was too "sedated" for his taste. He was a man of action. Ambitious, brash, greedy and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty for the greater good. I also think Tyrande had stronger feelings for Illidan in the beggining. In Frozen Throne when they meet Tyrande says: "That is why I chose your brother over you" after Illidan tries to explain why he did what he did.
Great video Nixxiom. It's crazy how you can capture what would happen so well that it makes it sound like it's basically apart of the original story. Always fun watching these!
I absolutely loved this story! It was so interesting. I love that Illidan, no matter what, had the same tenacity to save his people no matter the cost to himself. He's self destructive that way. It was so, so good! Loved the ending! :D
Neltharion.. Seriously Nixx, we gotta have Neltharion next. What if Neltharion never became Deathwing? OR Something I have theorized myself, that might happen in future expansions.. What if Sargeras never went insane? (what I theorize is that we ultimately side with him in some sort of way? We find out that there is a way to cleanse him, for his insanity or despair is actually just a corruption, and we cleanse it, or we both come to a realization that we are stupid to fight each other, and should focus on the actual foe at hand, that Sargeras is ultimately trying to prevent. Anyway, definitely Neltharion or Sargeras. I vote Neltharion cuz that seems like a more fleshy story, more meat on it? Since Sargeras' story would probably leave a lot of things blank, and the game itself might never have been made if that was the case.
Well, because of Frostmourne Arthas was able to fight back against Mal Ganis' armies but without it he would merely die and be risen again as an undead taking Frostmourne only to be a more willing servant of the Lich King. (This Instance is when Arthas was at Northrend but accepting Muradin's plea to not get Frostmourne ) or Arthas and Muradin barely escapes with few troops and sails back to Lorderon and warns them about the Undead and then Arthas, Muradin, and Jaina leads the an Alliance Expedition to Kalimdor. But the haven't get corrupted part is that Arthas never did the purging of Stratholme, and lead the human to Kalimdor only for the Lich king to find another champion. and Mal Ganis destroying the Lorderon and some parts of the Eastern Kingdoms.
The contradicting problem i see with this what if is the fact that all these prosecution, execution, an banishment you had Illidan do; Is exactly what Malfurion, and Tyrande have been doing in the lore ever since they imprisoned Illidan. That is the reason how High elf (Blood elf) even became a thing. Malfurion, and Tyrande would actually be helping Illidan in this what if scenerio. I do agree with the part of Illidan eventually creating his own sect of druid, and his willingness of becoming a dictator if it's needed for they're people to survive. Anyway, this what if scenario would only last until Warcraft III during the second Legion invasion. The reason being Illidan never creating another well. Since it was the well that lead Archimond to the world tree where they set up the trap that killed him. Also, Illidan never absorbing or destroying the skull of Gul'dan would of left the Legion portal open for the continuous supply of demons. (Yeah, you know a portal that allowed the Legion to invade? The same exact kind of portal that's causing the up and coming Legion expansion? Yeah... Illidan closed something to that magnitude back during Warcraft III, but people still bitch about him consuming Gul'dan skull! And Malfurion appreciating ass banished him for it!)
It was in the Nozdormu Caves in WOW I dont remember the whole questline though... Something about Black Dragonflight attacking the caves to alternate history or smth
Damn this shit is good :D nixxiom you never fail to amaze me for the last 4 years that i've been watching you, i really like those new alternative lore series, please keep them up.
Saying please don't make them is like slapping him in the face. He enjoys making these videos, and I for one love watching all his content. Don't ever stop being awesome Nixx 😁
if Sargeras never left the pantheon there would still be warcraft, but it would be a lot different, orcs never on azeroth, queen azshara still alive, only 1 continent.... much different
I dont normally know the backstories of the other what ifs as much as I knew about the stormrage brothers and I have to say this was really cool to listen to knowing alot about the characters already :D
it basically mean that the world ends, as the horde is never formed, no one finds out about Cthun as the Alliance wouldn't be formed either and they would never to to Kalimdor, so Cthun wouldn't have been stopped.
if gul'dan didnt "get the deamon blood" he would have died becouse he wa rejected by the elements for beeing a cripple(not shure what its caled in english) and if he didnt doubled with fell magic e would have died from exsaustion starvasion exs.
Guldan is our savior and hero! We shall show our love to him by joining burning legion(really... all legion doing is saving us all the time in long term -_-)
BOOMERSCREED __ Well he would burn fucking everything and everyone, securing Azeroth for his Horde of true orc warriors, the Legion would invade and rekt his ass with Felshit. And before that ofcourse: "Drink Hellscream."
really well done, its nice how you linked some events that actually took place, instead of simply making evething up like many "creepy pasta" or "theories" that pleague the internet xp
Irrelevant. Thrall had come toe saurfang but he refused because he was too old and not the nation leading type. Saurfangs son had been intended for the position of a future warchief but then the gate incident happened.
This timeline is already in the lore not in the game yet, did you ever think about alternate dreanor's universe version of Azeroth? The iron horde set their dark portal to OUR Azeroth there is still an uninvaded Azeroth. In that case there wasn't alliance nor horde although there will be a slight alliance between the humans and high elves of silvermoon and the kalimdor tauren would all die to the centaurs and the amani trolls would all die/ imprisoned during the troll wars so no darkspear skullspitters or any troll of the easten kingdoms
well,he would likely help the horde and alliance,as seen in the sunwell, where the scourge are fighting demons(if i remember correctly).and the lk will prolly destroy a big chunk of the demonic army.
so no second well of eternity.... but the aspects still plant nordrassil and bless the nightelfs? that makes no sense at all. if illidan became a druid like in the video, they wouldve maybe won the war. but there would be no nordrassil so Tyrande, Malfurion and Illidan would be dead by now- The End. :D
Maybe for a next what if vid you could do a "What if Garrosh Hellscream never escaped his trials in Pandaria?" As for this video, I thought It was awesome! I think you did a really good job and i do agree with what you have said in the video! Keep up the great work!
I mean bombing Theramore really wasn't viewed as a terrible thing outside of the Alliance until it just became common place to hate on Garrosh, it served militaristic purpose it isn't like he bombed a small farming village.
I think this is incredibly accurate to what would've happened, especially the ending. We all know that blizzard loves to be dramatic, so I really think you nailed this one ^ ^
I think you mean, what if Archimonde succeeded absorbing the power of Nordrassil. Well, it was stated that Archimonde would have gained power rivaling that of Sargeras
Love them man. Here are some suggestions I can think of: What if: -Grommash (the real one) escapes death after his duel with the Maghteridon? -Thrall and Jaina, after the funding of Orgrimmar, had a serious relationship and had children? -Orgrim Doomhammer had not fallen during the 2nd war in combination with gul Dan not betraying the original horde? -Durotan was never murdered thus thrall was raised by orcs? -Sylvanas had escaped the battle of Silvermoon (and death) , thus never forming the Forsakens and becoming banshee Queen? -Lordaeron and Silvermoon had reacted much faster and assisted Stormwind during the first war? -blizzard didn't ruin it's own lore by making bad decisions?
I like these videos. Even if these events do not happen, I sometimes wonder what would happen if. As long as you enjoy making these videos, keep going. :)
Give that what if a little bit of time, the story isn't over yet. In 7.1 there's gonna be a mini raid that finishes up the story of stormheim,so who know's Sylvanas just might win.
A lot of skins in HotS come from a timeline called "Altered Fates", where Illidan became a Druid in place of Malfurion, Malfurion became the Betrayer in place of Illidan, Tyrande became his Warden in place of Maiev, and Maiev became High Priestess instead of Tyrande.
A most excellent video, as ever.If I may, I would like to suggest "What is Arthas did NOT become the Lich King?" I'm always a sucker for AU stories where a fallen hero never falls.Thank you.
- What if Illidan had successfully destroyed the Frozen Throne? - What if C'thun had managed to return to the world? - What if Garrosh had won the siege of Orgrimmar?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO You left it on a cliff hanger! continue the story! What would happen next after Illidal realised his mistake!
Listen Nixxiom, you're a freaking great story teller ok... like I was playing wow as I listened to this right, and I felt as if I was like watching all of this actually happening inside my head... that last scene was specially vivid... damn haha... great job, here's your like :D
Wow that was actually good!! I wouldnt even be mad if blizz took this idea xd. Its weird cause i was expecting something sarcastic, but this was really good and I could tell that you put a lot of work into this.
Honestly this alternate story is still better then what we got, I see after this Illidan becoming the ultimate druid master of all forms and roles of druidism for his dead brother. I would say it would take some time for him to regain back loyalty and trust from his people but I feel he could overcome it. Except for Tyrande she would probably hate his guts from this point on...but i think he wouldn't care and still push forward.
Nixxiom I think u really misunderstood that like for real the last part was exagereated malfurion couldn't die from a bite to the neck I know he would bleed but honestly I would have said that like.Tyrande Heals Malfurion and malfurion goes into unconsciousness and tyrande looks into Ilidan's eyes and says:Look at what u have done ilidan is this what cenarius wanted to u to be ? is this what your people would want ?
Tyrande wouldn't have been present during that particular event, as it was a meeting of the Cenarion Circle. No non-druids allowed, pretty much. Still would be cool though.
This might sound noobish of a question here... but how has Malfurion been alive later on then if he died there? I might have forgotten or missed something obvious here...
I would love more of these videos, especially what if Blood Elves had stayed with the Alliance, or if Varian had managed to convince them on joining the Alliance in MoP
Nixxiom bro, you predicted Legion and this is your next speculation. I support and trust your vision all the way. I bet blizzard already started this what if alternate storyline already lol.
Nixxiom you should try doing this videos with Machinimas, like when you told Illidan's Story, If They are shorter, i have no problem, and i would like to hear other people' opiniones and yours! :D
What happens next?? What happens next! :D' Awesome What-if. I liked it. From the beginning, I didn't know what to expect from this... like how can someone like Illidan ever have the patience for something like druid magic? But your theory sounded more convincing the more I listened. Keep up them theories!
Actually if illidan would become a Druid The War of the ancients would be lost because of the lack of power he could not defeat the Pitlord just like the Felwood that if he didn't consume the skull of Gul'dan he could not defeat Dreadlord corrupting the forest and the third war could have been lost too.
This "what if" video was great. Thank you for creating it. I have an idea for a future video if you like it... What if it had been Ysera and the Emerald Dragonflight that had been corrupted instead of the Black Dragonflight? What if the Black Dragonflight remained uncorrupted to the present day?
beautiful, magnificent, u are an incredible narator. I love it. Maybe the story wouldn't be like that exactly since first invasion got kicked because of illidan s lust of power magic and in future. but beside that, what u said pretty much describe what illidan would do. I wait for next "what if", my friend.
Hey Nixxiom! i was wondering if you could like, in the next "Alternate Warcraft's" Episode like so, *What if Illidan defeated the Lich king*?? i think that would be an very exciteing way to see! and its never been out before! give up them thumbs up for this comment everyone! :D
