To answer an earlier question, the game generates the random items upon game startup, they appear in the logbook Theres a reason i said the mod should be inspired from or changed a bit, its much more fun to have 100% random, and the pool of possible attributes for the items seems low, theres a lot of flaws with this mod that can be improved upon

That transition to gilded coast was the smoothest transition I’ve ever seen

Just played a commando run with this mod and I got a red item that let me shoot sawblades every single skill use, including my primary. It was all fun and games until a void elder lemurian collapsed me for 150 overkill damage from full health lol

An idea if you are going to revisit this challenge is to also use the item blacklist mod to blacklist the vanilla items from spawning, ending up with sweet, sweet randomness

the leeching seed seems to add more barrier because of the regen item that creates barrier on heal it's kinda good.

I could be wrong, but I think what was happening near the end there, was that you had so many different "on hit fire a thing" items, that they'd hit the chance threshold for chain reacting and firing an exponentially increasing number of fireballs, missiles and grenades. So a tanky boss like Mithrix standing still for a moment, just escalated into a piss beam kamehameha.

This mod is cool but I think there might be another cool way to do it if anyone has the skill. (if you wanna ask nux or grook(? idr his name lol but the other modders LOL)) It might be neat to make an AI and feed it risk of rain items and if more info is needed some modded items or smtn. Then have that AI spit out x amount of items and manually mod them in. This way you can avoid getting stuff like 10 barrier items that all do the same thing. It might require a bit more work and I wish I knew about this stuff so I could attempt to make it but i do not

definitely try the procedural stages mod next

Another idea, what if all your items were drones. They couldould have a variety of delivery systems for their item effects. (aoe effects, auras, healing drone lasers etc). So for example instead of getting a hoof, you pick up a drone that fires Molotov's that when you touch their aoe, you get a move speed buff for 5 secs. etc

In theory, you could use a mod to ban items from appearing and ban all of the vanilla items and only get random items
