The Bible would have to be checked with the Quran. ​@@RussellALeenders ​ Well, for one it's not the only book that has prophecies of the future . . . but, yes there are prophecies in the Bible that are from the truth of the Bible. The Bible still has some truth, of course, retained from the original revelation to Moses and the true accounts of Jesus, like where the gospel writers, whoever they were, chose to quote him (from what we can verify outside of the Bible). The issues with the Bible come from where these anonymous writers inserted their own ideas and stories. The change in scripture of men, from what God says is what makes it corrupted. This would apply to the Old Testament and the Bible itself, while being corrupted, still retains the information in it to point us to what is false about it (not a coincidence!); the Bible says the generations the Torah came through were evil and wicked Israelites who would kill their prophets, bring shame on their faces, go against whatever God told them to do, KILL their prophets AND change scripture. The book we have that we call the Torah today is a book no one knows who wrote except for this information. It came 1000 years after Moses in a language he didn't speak. We are basically following an assumption. As far the New Testament then we know for sure it is not from God but rather is from the writings of men, which Biblical scholars clearly state. The stories the gospel writers wrote that never happened is what makes PART of it untrue. Afterall, someone has to tell us some truth to lie to us. Even works of fiction make contact with reality. There are many assorted accurate statements made in the Bible; verses that do come from what God said, which is why you find those similar things outside the Bible as well, in other revealed books. The problem is the parts that are not true. What we should all take issue with are the parts that are not true, the parts written by men who wrote about Jesus and God with no authority to do so. Particularly where they write contradictory to Jesus, as in Paul's writing of salvation or stories they make up that did not happen, like the story of Jesus being buried in a tomb and resurrecting. Matthew's gospel for example, shows us clearly that in trying to quell Jewish skepticism of Jesus, he tried any time he could to write Jesus into prophecies that sometimes do not exist (no one can find them) or to write things that were incorrect like conclusions made from Greek translations not true to the original Hebrew of the Torah. Of course, Matthew did NOT need to do this since the Bible already contained prophecies of Jesus.
