Its crazy how a small change like this would make such a positive thematic change. Having the duality of Blue Eyes representing friendship for one and power for another is thematically very in line with the series. Especially since Yugi would only have one copy, meaning his dragon would have to work with other monsters, like his Red Eyes which symbolizes his friendship with Joey, whereas Kaiba has three copies and the whole deck revolves around the power of the dragons specifically, they monopolize his win conditions before Obelisk. Beyond that, having Kaiba and Yugi use the same monster to have fuse the ultimate dragon draws a lot of parallel between the two characters, showing how similar they actually are. You could argue that the three copies of the dragon is reminiscent of a family of dragons, which makes sense for Kaiba who cares so deeply for Mokuba. Having the friendship dragon merge with two of the power dragons is the perfect analogy for Kaiba and Mokuba joining with Yugi and his friends, reconciling their differences because even though they arent the same family, they also arent that different. Even cooler, this adds another layer to the interplay between Yugis cards. In contrast to Kaiba, who was often working specifically towards the dragons, Yugi had more varied win conditions because the show used the cards he had to represent the relationships with people he cared about. That 4th dragon is specifically a representation of a powerful friendship, but also the familial relationship of Yugi and his grandfather, so it is perfectly thematically positioned to connect sooooo many things. Big fan of this idea, and I especially like the idea of having it not be added to Yugi's deck until later. It preserves a lot of the uniqueness of Kaiba while he is an antagonist, while being a direct story analog to his future redemption when it is reintroduced, which would convinently come right after an episode where a misunderstanding from a wellmeaning family member results in the reinforcement of an old friendship that paves the way for new ones. It just works on so many levels it is genuinely a shame it didn't happen. If you haven't already (Ill have to make sure I didn't miss it if you did), I'd love to see one about if Weevil hadn't thrown Exodia overboard. Maybe he stole the cards and sold them for profit or for rare bugs. Anyway, great video as always!
There was a video on What If Yugi kept Exodia. In the What If, Yugi uses Exodia to dominate in Duelist Kingdom, and once he wins the tournament, everyone starts running anti-Exodia counters in Battle City. After narrowly winning a duel that should have been easy for him, Yugi recognizes that he's become overreliant on Exodia and takes it out of his deck.
A funny thing about kaiba owning all the blue eyes is that essentally that means all the blue eye support cards were more or less made for kaiba. Like blue eyes shining dragon it feels like it was made for kaiba.
Yup, while some red-eyes support cards look like joey wheeler cards, while other red-eyes cards look like atticus support cards (i always prefered those cards more tbh)

A fanfic writer called dragonicdevil does rewrites of Yu-Gi-Oh series. In their rewrite of Duel Monsters, Yugi stops Kaiba JUST before he's about to tear the 4th Blue-Eyes in half and challenges him to get it back. Naturally, Yugi wins with Exodia, and when he goes to Duelist Kingdom, he brings his Grandpa's Blue-Eyes with him and adds it to his deck. He even uses it against "Ghost Kaiba".

If both Yugi and Kaiba used Blue-Eyes in their decks, the Kaibaman duel in GX would be even more meaningful. Kaibaman dueled Judai to teach him to not be afraid of losing. The symbolism in that duel goes two ways. One, Blue-Eyes symbolizes ultimate power. If you lost to Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and you manage to carry on with life, then there's nothing that could stop you. Two, Kaibaman knows what it's like to lose because Kaibaman is a representation of Kaiba, a duelist who lost a lot of times but managed to pridefully keep getting back up. Now, imagine if there's a third component to the symbolism of the Kaibaman duel. A Yugi-related component that reminds Judai that whether you win or lose, you should duel with respect to your deck and respect to your opponent. Respecting your cards and your opponent is a huge theme in GX, considering Ryo's character arc and the differing philosophies of Judai and Edo when it comes to using a HERO deck.
I would love to see a Celtic guardian and Blue Eyes fusion monster, something like Legendary White Dragon slayer since Celtic Guardian was about to slay Blue Eyes Ultimate dragon in the tournament arc.
1:26 in the manga, I believe he didn’t actually have the three copies until after he got refused by Solomon Moto. I can’t be 100% sure, but when he’s dueling Solomon, he explicitly stated something along the lines of using money and force to get them to make sure he could beat the Blue Eyes Solomon had

Actually, I think Yugi might use it as early as duelist kingdom. With Solomon's soul being taken by Pegasus, I think it would make sense for Yugi to use the card to get him back.
Cool things to consider: - Technically you can fuse Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes together, though it's not thematic cause you'll make Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon (requires Red-Eyes OR 1 Dragon) - Things might get complex towards the latter sagas of the anime since we get the whole Kisara thing and thus why Kaiba values Blue-Eyes so much. - Odd-Eyes Dragon is a possible nod to a fusion of Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes, I mean look at its eyes. The fusion idea: Blue-Eyes Dark Magician/Dragoon - Blue-Eyes + Dark Magician - Must first be Fusion Summoned using the cards mentioned above - 3500 ATK / 3000 DEF - You may only use each effect of "Blue-Eyes Dark Magician" once per turn - (Quick Effect) if your opponent activates a Spell or Trap card or activates a monster effect, discard 1 card, negate the activation then banish the card. - (Quick Effect), you can banish 1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Dark Magician from your GY, this card gains 1000 ATK and is unaffected by your opponent's activated card effects until the End Phase. - If this card is destroyed or banished from the Field, target 1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Dark Magician from your hand, deck or GY, SS it.

I like the idea of Yugi sacrificing Red Eyes, Dark Magician, and Blue Eyes to summon one of his Egyptian Gods. The look of horror on his opponent's face would be something special
Also another combination that could have been possible in the Virtual world arc is fusing blue eyes red eyes curse of Dragon and Harpy pet Dragon to make a 4 headed dragon ( or a 5 headed dragon if mokoba had a dragon of his own)
Fang of Critias can’t merge with monsters, only traps. But Seto Kaiba did sorta make a blue eyes Critias by merging Critias with a trap that can equip itself onto monsters, Tyrant Wing which he then equipped onto his Blue-eyes to make Blue-eyes Tyrant Dragon. So theoretically Seto could make a Tyrant version of any monster by first fusing his Critias wth Tyrant Wing then equip that onto whatever he wants.
This is a really fun idea and I think removing that Blue Eyes was a big mistake for storytelling. Alot of things could've happened more organically. Here's how BattleCity might've been different for example. Solomon is invited to join because Kaiba wants his Blue Eyes. Solomon is found by Marik's Rare hunter because he has a rare card and is a shop owner with rare cards. This is the Exodia guy with no skills and gets stomped, and farmed for every card he has. Solomon adds Exodia back into his deck along with Blue Eyes and thinks, its time Yugi proves he's surpassed me. Yugi and Solomon duel and Yugi wins Blue Eyes. Ishizu shows up to the Shop because fate calls her there and understands she must be about to meet a millenium item holder and hopes its the pharoah, but is surprised to see Kaiba. Realizing she can't see his future he must have had a millenium item in a past life she sees a chance to change fate by using him. Realizing it must be the rod and that Kaiba might be the key to saving Marik, they duel and she throws the duel, and Kaiba wins Obelisk. Marik captures Solomon for revenge and to torture him and Yugi saves him by dueling Strings and winning Slifer. Kaiba then fights a fake Marik and beats him using Obelisk and in a way that would've been impossible otherwise and this fake is Odion. Humiliated this is when Odion does something drastic and makes a fake copy of Ra. Now the stakes are higher for the big bad Trio going into the finals, and we can give them major power ups. Odion can play an actual Gravekeeper deck, Ishizu could play a luck deck like Arcana Force embarrassing Joey, and Marik learns to play Yugioh. Odion could still be struck by lightning, Bakura should've dueled Ishizu for her millenium item and that's how they leave the picture, and that's when Marik goes full evil instead of the split personality thing. He definetely should by dueling Kaiba to payoff Ishizu's gamble and Kaiba should try to summon Ra like Mae did. And she should fight Joey and they draw. This is already so much more organic than what we got. Characters are meeting for story related reasons, acting in accordance to their goals, and most importantly we'll have a lot of the same epic duels with a few extra. Also, there's a nice symbolism now for Yami where Blue Eyes and Dark Magician represent 2 of his loyal priests and 2 millenium item users. You could weave a story where he finds all their reincarnates and their cards and have a that thread payoff against Bakura and Zork.
Honestly even if Kaiba didn’t destroy that card, I feel like he’d continue trying to get it from Yugi for the remainder of the show. Don’t think he could ever just be ok with someone else having that card.
7:15 I'm not too familiar with modern Blue Eyes decks but aren't there monsters whose names become Bule-Eyes White Dragon on the field/GY if so I definitely think a Five-Headed Dragon retrain using solely 5 Blue-Eyes White Dragons would be hilarious. Hell, I'd even love a Harpie Lady version with an insane amount of Harpie Ladies fusing to be the ultimate boss monster for that deck.
In the Manga, the first episode of the anime is actually two separate chapters that happen 3 volumes apart from each other. In volume 2, Yugi shows off the Blue-Eyes only for Kaiba to overhear and steal it from him. This is the first Blue-Eyes Kaiba has ever owned, and Yugi forces Kaiba to play a shadow game in which the monsters from the cards come to life to get it back. Kaiba only loses this shadow game because he attempts to summon the Blue-Eyes he stole, only to be informed that the heart of the monster belongs to Yugi's grandfather and stealing it isn't enough to shake its loyalty. Yugi then puts him through the penalty game he calls "the experience of death" in which Kaiba is given the sensation of being torn apart by duel monsters. Yugi successfully returns Blue-Eyes to his Grandfather. Between volume 2 and volume 5 of the manga, Kaiba develops the hologram system due to his obsession with the shadow game he played with Yugi and especially the penalty game Yugi put him through. He also "obtains" the other 3 Blue-Eyes, at least one of which through murder. In volume 5, he creates the Death-T[ower] game to get revenge on Yugi, which includes a number of interesting games, a rematch against Mokuba in Capsule Monsters Chess, and finally the game we see in the first episode of the anime. Tearing up the Blue-Eyes is an act of revenge, primarily against the card itself, which betrayed him in the first shadow game, but also against Yugi to permanently undo his victory. He hospitalized Solomon using a holographic recreation of "The Experience of Death" penalty game as well. The anime really doesn't do this story arc justice but it's worth noting that this was all written without any certainty that Yugi was ever going to play another game of Duel Monsters again as it was still Kazuki Takahashi's plan to have Yugi continue to play a variety of games going forward.
For a four-headed blue eyes monster, I would call it Blue Eyes Supremacy Dragon. Supremacy meaning a state or condition of being superior to all others and a four-headed blue eyes dragon would definitely appear like that.
Blue Eyes AND Red Eyes? Would that Fusion be... Odd Eyes? Anyways, it'd definitely be an interesting change if Yugi had that 4th Blue Eyes, that card wouldn't just be a sign of friendship, but also the rivalry between Yugi and Kaiba. And it'd definitely be a card more so belonging to Yugi all on his own rather than all the cards he has that tie to Atem, which would especially come to play in that final duel instead of Gandora. As for fusions... I could definitely see a world where Yugi and Kaiba both have a Blue Eyes on the field in a tag team duel and we see a two-headed Blue Eyes fusion, a lot earlier than we ended up getting one ultimately. It could also mean that future Blue Eyes cards after the series would diverge into two lines, Kaibas that are all about power and destruction, and Yugis that are more supportive and about working with other cards. I don't think we'd get another Fusion where one of Yugis monsters rides a Blue Eyes, that already feels done with the Ultimate Dragon being ridden by BLS, which also was somewhat of an ace card for Yugi. Although I guess I could see one later on that's a fusion with a Spellcaster-monster... More so I could see a counterpart to Red Eyes Dark Dragoon though... which I'm suprised doesn't exist yet anyways...
Blue eyes ultima dragon” or “blue eyes ultimate tyrant dragon” Both would have 6000 atm/ 6000 def Flavor text: theirs only ever been 1 blue eyes ultima dragon to ever exsist. It is said it was born during a space time cataclysm, we’re a 4th blue eyes white dragon appeared and in desperation the 4 blue eyes fused to help end the very cataclysm that created it. It is said you can hear this dragon crying softly in the wind as the 4th dragon weeps to go to a home it can never return to.
Small detail: you mentioned Kaiba never got a chance to fuse his "Fang of Critias" with the Blue-Eyes. That's actually because he _couldn't._ Each of the three dragons works a little differently. The Eye of Timaeus in the anime simply fuses with another Monster Card (though its only two uses I can remember saw it fuse with Dark Magician, and Dark Magician Girl). Meanwhile, the Claw of Hermos also fuses with another monster, but creates an _equip_ magic card as the result instead. As for Kaiba's Fang of Critias, it actually fuses with a _trap_ card in order to create a new monster.
Rewatching this and came up with a name for a fusion of Red Eyes Black Dragon & Blue Eyes White Dragon: "Ultimate Eyes Shining Dragon" And that would cause Kaiba to look into potiental ways to one up Ultimate Eyes Shining Dragon, leading to him pouring so much money into such thing and causing various different Dragons being created as a result. Maybe some even gets secretly taken by the people he hired to make them, causing the cards to be used against Kaiba. Like, Imagine a monster called Valkyrie the Dragon Master appearing in Kaiba's duel against Zigfried.
Can you do a duel analysis of Crow Vs. Dark Signer Greiger? That was one of my favorite duels of Season 1, and it showed Crow's level of determination on seeing that duel through (despite his injuries). He's like the Joey Wheeler of 5Ds.
In the original manga (season 0 anime), Kaiba ripped the blue eyes as revenge for betraying him in his first duel with Yami Yugi. Kaiba originally didn't have any Blue Eyes so he stole it from Yugi. Yami Yugi then duel him in a shadow game to get it back, where the duel monsters appear for real and the stolen Blue Eyes refused to attack Yugi, costing Kaiba the game. Yami's punishment game was giving Kaiba hallucinations of duel monsters attaking him, which alongside the shadow game inspired him to create holographic dueling technology. The duel with Yugi in the first episode was the second time they duel in the manga. Kaiba beat grandpa with 3 Blue Eyes that he extorted from their previous owners, then ripped the one he won. Yami Yugi then beat him with exodia. The mind crush punishment made more sense in the manga, since the first punishment failed to make Kaiba good, the 2nd one was specifically made to destroy the darkness in his heart.
I can also see a world where Rebecca received the card after her duel with Yugi as a sort of "time to return home" sort of thing. Then Rebecca would be a recurring character and culminating in her becoming Maiden with Eyes of Blue
I would love for this scenario a fusion from Dark Magician, Red Eyes Black Dragon and Blue Eyes White Dragon. Something like "Dark Magician, rider of the Twinheaded Yin-Yang Dragon" maybe even with an effect that represents all three duelists playstiles like You toss a coin (to your witcher :D ) and if you call it correctly all monsters of your opponent that have 1500 ATK or less are placed into the graveyard if you don't the effect applies to you. Also it would be cool if this card would count as all three cards and therefore you can use any Blue Eyes, Red Eyes and Dark Magician support cards on it.
There is a episode in Yu-gi-oh cartoon that shows the BEWD is actually the soul of a women Kaiba's egypt counter part had strong feelings for, she sacrificed herself to become the BEWD and to protect Kiaba. So, it would only make sense that he would be jealous of any one having a BEWD but him self.
I like the idea of Yugi giving the card back to his grandpa then once Pegasus steals his soul Yugi has a moment where he decides to take it to Duelist Kingdom, telling himself if he's going to save Grandpa he need his Grandpa's most treasured card in his deck, then gets his Grandpa and Prof Hawkins blessing after he duels Rebecca. This would have been an awesome powerhouse for Yugi to get out and an easy tribute to use BLS more. Also fusion card names- Blue Eyes Brite Dragoon(BE + DM) Purple Eyes Shadow Dragon (BE + RE) Dragon Rider Soldier (BE+ BLS) Blue Eyes Tomias Dragon (BE +EOT) Lord Of Blue (Armor version) Yugi could even have Blue Eyes Gandora Dragon

Blue-Eyes + black luster soldier= Envoy of Blue-Eyes 3800/2800 effect- once per turn this card can activate one of the following effects. 1- If this card destroys a monster by battle you can banish one card on the field. 2- If this card destroys a monster by battle it can attack another monster this turn. 3- If this card attacks a defense position monster banish it and inflict damage equal to its defense to your opponents life points. blue-eyes + Red-Eyes + Dark Magician = Dragon Armored Magician of the dual-eyes 4000/3000 effect when this card is fusion summoned only using monsters from your side of the field you can destroy all other cards on the field. This card is unaffected by the effects of dragon and spellcaster type monsters. If this card attacks a dragon or spellcaster type monster that has less attack than this monsters original attack banish it.

My thought: BLUE EYES RE-RISE DRAGON Can only be summoned by tribute/fusion by 4 Blue Eyes White Dragon/1 Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon + 1 Blue Eyes White Dragon/2 Blue Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, also apply to Neo/Alternate Version After being summoned, change position to Defense and gains 500 DEF for how much monster it's in the grave, 1000 DEF counts only for the Blue Eyes. For each 5 monsters in the GU, it gains extra 3000DEF. When the turn ends, all the DEF points will be shifted to ATK points, the stats can't be decreased Can't be destroyed, affected. Negates instant win condition except Holactie, Destiny Board and Exodia. Enemy can only attack this card. After battle phase, that card will be destroyed. Effects also apply to any Blue Eyes monters. Stat: ATK: 5000 DEF: 2000
If there was a 5 headed Blue Eyes White dragon link, it should be called Blue Eyes White Hydra. Arrows pointing Down, DR, DL, L and R. Requires 5 light dragon monsters including 3 Blue Eyes White Dragon monsters and can only be special summoned by its own effects. 1000 Attack (max 5000). If this face up card leaves the field; special summon it with the attack and defense it had before leaving the field, then it gains 1000 attack, even if it leaves the field. Your opponent cannot respond to this with card effects. You can use this effect up to 4 times per duel. Once per turn (quick effect); you can negate the activation of one of your opponent's card effects and banish it facedown. You can only control one Blue Eyes White Hydra.
This could’ve changed Yugioh forever. In early Yugioh they didn’t really have Ace monsters the way they have now where every protagonist summons out their same Ace monster first turn but the Blue Eyes white dragon was always synonymous with Kaiba as being his Ace. If Yugi has a Blue Eyes it creates a whole new dynamic where Kaiba either needs a new ace iconic card or they do away with Ace cards all together. And this trend could have carried through all the season where every protagonist just has multiple good cards in their deck as opposed to just their 1 good ace and the deck built around that one card. It could’ve changed how archetypes worked through the game forever. For example Galaxy Eyes archetype (my preferred deck) a lot of effects depend on and rely on GEPD. But if the deck wasn’t built around that one card the designs and monster and their effects change dramatically. It’s an interesting concept how something so small could’ve potentially changed Yugioh forever.
A 4 headed Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon only attained when 1 is willing to work with another. Woulda made for an awesome character development arc for Kaiba. As well as changing the dynamic of Yu-Gi-Oh & card limits being 4. Pretty dope.
i just remembered in his duel with ghost kaiba he used mystic elf to make blue eyes dragon have 4100 attack points. which would be strong enough to take out any of seto's dragons if he didn't happen to have all 3 out before yugi summoned his. a monster with 4100 attack points boosted by mystic elf could be a game changer. it'd be his strongest monster after the egyptian gods. now i just picture him using it against the rare hunters. the one who stole joey's card, arkana, the quiet one... duels might have gone differently with blue eyes. maybe ended quicker.
If Blue-eyes were part of his deck for Duelist Kingdom It would have made it easier for sure, as well as opening up a few more combos most likely. Like maybe a White Skull Dragon exists with 3500 ATK to rival Meteor Black Dragon. Or a BLS + Single Blue Eyes for that era with like 4000 attack.
picture this, yugi plays his blue eyes and kiba has his 3 already on the field and yugi also has a card that can copy perfectly the blue eyes on his side and then yugi plays a polymerization to fuse the unstoppable might of a 5 headed blue eyes hydra dragon with an attack/defense of the combined total of all 5 dragons and it can attack up to 5 times in one turn but is banished at the end phase…
I think narrative reasons was it outshine dark magician and they wanted that to be his mascot, same with exodia, they had to get rid of him to make way for the God cards
Now maybe I'm using too much hindsight, but considering Kaiba goes on to get himself made into a card it almost seems like instead of destroying the fourth BEWD he could have just lobbied Pegasus to change the 3-copy limit. Maybe KaibaCorp wasn't the Duel Monsters behemoth it would become in later seasons but even in season 1 those were KaibaCorp holographic projectors and Kaiba even shows off that duel disc prototype later. Seems like Kaiba should have really thought ahead about the kind of power he'd have over a children's card game
I always had the thought professor that the fourth card would have ended with Bakura. Or given to Taya by Grandpa has a " just in case " scenario for duel island. Seen next during the Mia Val battle

God i really want to see Blue-Eyes Ultimate and the 4th Blue-Eyes make a special anime only or only available through Super Poly and stealing a 4th Blue-Eyes white dragon and make something like Blue-Eyes White Hydra and it can't be destroyed by battle and whenever it loses a battle it gains 500 atk points signifying that it's grown a new head or something extremely cool not to mention would be fun seeing the Dark Magician fusion with Blue-Eyes but I'd personally love to see Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes be fused together to beat Kiaba have a bastardization Kaiba's perfect Blue-Eyes be tainted with Joey's inferior Red-Eyes just brings me joy to imagine Kaiba's disgust at such a fusion
Funny enough, the Japanese name of "Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon" is Blue Eyes Endless (or Infinite) Dragon." There was also a rumored fusion between Red Eyes and Blue Eyes called "Silver Eyes Gold Dragon." (Or it might have been the reverse...)
I swear i seen grandpa use the 4th copy in a duel somewhere. Cant remember if was a side arc, a movie, or on another series he appeared in. But i swear in one duel he used it on Joey or something and when he played it, it was still ripped up (Showing the tape on it).
One thing I’d think be cool is that in any arc from battle city or later where Kaiba invents and shows off Blue Eyes support cards in a duel against Yugi just for yugi to pull out his own blue eyes and use some effects that allows him to use it back against Kaiba

Blue eyes from yugi will probably be his boss monster bc it’s a different card from his all his other deck bc blue eyes is a dragon and his other monsters are spellcasters
Call the 4 blue eyes fusion monster Blue Eyes Supreme Ultimate Dragon with 6000 ATK and 5000 DEF. This card with Black Luster Soldier or Buster Blader fused to create Supreme Dragon Master King with 7500 ATK and 6000 DEF and you keep the attack boost for all dragons on the field and graveyard.
If Kaiba didn’t rip the blue eyes it would have ended up inside Yugi’s deck along with all of his Grandpa’s other cards like Exodia. Then on the way to the island, Weevil would have just thrown Exodia and the Blue Eyes into the ocean. Then the Rebecca episode would happen but with no blue eyes ripped in half or proof of what happened to it. Kaiba ripping the blue eyes in half gave us the card held together with tape is a much more powerful image than “Oh sorry it got lost in the ocean”.
Takahashi made a good narrative and symbolism for Blue eyes to be the association monster for Kaiba. My headcanon will be Yugi gave back 4th blue eyes to grandpa . Cause at that point, he didn't earned it yet from his skill or experience in duel, also that was sentimental token of his grandpa. But i think it will be fun for Yugi to demand to use it against Kaiba during Battle city arc. Cause at that point, yugi already a pro duelist and obviously by summoning blue eyes against Kaiba, he will reluctant to attack or to use Obelisk to attack it, as its sentimental value.
If he never tore the blue eyes white dragon in half. He would have summoned it before Yugi could get all 5 pieces of Exodia and therefore won the duel. Then he would banish the Pharoah to the shadow realm

Kaiba: That monster has Attack Power to Rival an Egyptian God. How come I've never heard of that card!? Atem: Amazing. But It's not enough Slifer Automatically Destroys any monster that us Special Summoned to the Field. Now Go Slifer remove that monster from his Field. What, what's going on. Yugi: I'm sorry, Pharaoh, but Slifer won't be able to do anything to my Sage. For you see by paying half my Life points, my Wizard is unaffected by any card until the end of this turn. (Life points fall to 100) Kaiba: That means none of the God's will be able to touch him for one more turn. If I know Yugi, he's going to attack Obelisk to prevent his affect from being activated in his following turn. Hmpf, well played Yugi. Yugi: Now I Activate my Magician's special affect! Pretty much if we don’t add any of the hypothetical cards that could have happened, Blue Eyes pretty much would act as Yugi’s last resort type card something to have just incase of a tough fight his other monsters can’t handle. Though it would be even less consistent than Dark Magician since at least we know Yugi hasn’t support for that card.
I think Narratively it was Necessary for Kiba to rip that Blue Eyes Card up as had he hadn’t they would either have to write long and confusing explanation on why Kiba is not the only one with a connection to the Sprite of Blue Eyes. Especially his Ancient Egypt self, or they would have to find some other way for Yami the Pharaoh to Rely more on his Dark Magician as his Ace. As to oppose to the Blue Eyes Card in every dual. As I believe that the Dark Magician is supposed to be Yugi’s most Powerful Card next to his God Cards. And not only that but I feel that the Dual with Rebecca would be as impactful as Rebecca wouldn’t be as filled with passion as she was for revenge, as obviously to her she sees the Blue Eyes Card being Ripped Up as a Kind Of Disrespect to her Grandfather. And on top of all of that you would not to write in why Yugi doesn’t use Blue Eyes in every dual if he’s not going to use it in every dual. Even if he drew it with the Heart Of The Cards. And finally I just don’t feel that Blue Eyes fits with Yugi’s Deck not even in the Ceremonial Dual as you have said Blue Eyes is a representation of Power and Yugi’s Deck is more based on Friendship. IMO And with that said hare are my personal made fused Blue Eyes cards would be and their stats. Blue Eyes Black Dragon= (Effect= At the beginning of your main Phase 1 Toss a Coin and call it. If you called it right Destroy One Card on your Opponents Field, call it Wrong Destroy One Card on your side of the Field. And if you can’t Destroy this Card. Shining Magician= (Effect= You Must Discard a Spill Card in order to Attack and it Most Attack Every Monster on your Opponent’s Field. = (Effect 2= Unaffected by all Trap and other Monster Effects Cards. And that’s about all I got I’m not sure about the others.
Ohhh Dark Magician with Eyes of Blue. A fusion of Dark Magician and Blue Eyes. Buster Blader with Eyes of Blue. Also always thought that Light and Darkness Dragon was supposed to be a fusion of Blue eyes and Red Eyes
Technically Kaiba did fuse Blue-Eyes with Critias by fusing Critias with the Tyrant Wing Trap Card to make Tyrant Burst Dragon and then fuse that with Blue-Eyes to make Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon.
If Kaiba didn't rip the card, Atem might not have enough reason to mindcrush Kaiba, only if he snapped after losing and was about to rip it then. Which means Kaiba might stay "evil" for at least a little longer.
Fusion Combo Ideas: 1 Blue Eyes & Dark Magician Girl = Dark Magician Girl the White Dragon Knight 2 Blue Eyes & Dark Magician = ??? 3 Blue Eyes & Dark Magician & Dark Magician Girl = maybe that mirror/portal card with DM and DMG on either side of the thing, only now it has 3 Blue Eyes coming out of its centre? Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon & The Dark Magicians = ??? Ultimate Boss Monster! ???
Even *IF* the card wasn't torn, it would make the story awkward and less impactful on Kaiba's story. Why? Because of *Kisara* (Egyptain Kaiba's love interest and how she sacrificed her life to protect him thus her power becomes the infamous Dragon). The lore and historical ties this card has with Kaiba is something deeply personal and special. The spirit of the Blue Eyes White Dragon belongs to Kaiba alone and is synonymous with him. Her spirit guiding and protecting another player would just ruin the story between Kisara and Kaiba. Especially when Kisara helped Kaiba escape fate during his duel with Isshizu. If the card wasn't ripped up, Kaiba would probably keep it locked up somewhere for safe keeping to avoid it being used against him or give that card to his only family member, Mokuba as a way of having that power watching over him. Sure you can make the argument that Arcana had Dark Magician (which had Atem's trusted loyal friend spirit in it) however that card looked very different from Yugi's. With Blue Eyes White Dragon, it's still the same Dragon. Nothing different.
A better scenario would be to force pegasus to remake the fourth copy as he is the creator of the game after that episode with Rebecca and have yugi obtain it at some point from pegasus during Battle city.
A mini Dragon Master Knight: so like Paladin of White Dragon......wait a minute.....BLS is an upgraded form of Gaia the Fierce Knight....Gaia is known for being able to ride a dragon.... Paladin of White Dragon is a green skinned knight like Gaia, only wearing Raregold Armor.....I think i might have stumbled on some interconnected lore here!
I feel like if yugi took a photo of the ripped blue eyes and sent it to pegasus telling him the situation, he may remake a new one and send it to yugi purely to troll kaiba
I have three blue eyes white two from the first kaiba starter deck and one from the second kaiba starter deck but one of the blue eyes from the first starter deck is a misprint if you look at it just right in the light the whole car looks like it's a foil pernt and the border around everything is darker than the other one as well which means that all three of my blue eyes are completely different variants of the same card
