If you ever decide to touch on the topic of Luffy having a different Devil Fruit, I recommend the Bara Bara no Mi. That Devil Fruit needs more love, because Buggy doesn't get taken seriously enough to showcase just how busted that power could be, and it's arguably even better for Luffy's hand-to-hand fighting style.

Well smoker does have the seastone jittie so that could be an issue for luffy and I think it was hinted that smoker knows some haki in the beginning soo he can still give luffy a tough time at least in louge town. Marineford and beyond tho? That's a different story
